Mohammed Adil Kaouadji

Overview

Mohammed Adil Kaouadji has spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel on Twitter. He has also supported the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Kaouadji’s tweets from 2015 and 2017 indicate that he was affiliated with Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an offshoot of the Muslim Student Association (MSA). 

Kaouadji’s tweets from 2014 and 2015 indicate that he was a student at the College of Staten Island (CSI), part of City University of New York (CUNY) and had graduated by September 2015.

As of January 2019, Kaouadji’s LinkedIn page said he was the “Product Manager” at The Corcoran Group from “Feb 2017 — Present” and studied Computer Science at CSI until 2014.  As of the same date, Kaouadji was listed on alumnius.net website as an alumnus of Syracuse University (SU) and a “Technical Support Specialist at The Corcoran Group.”

As of January 2019, Kaouadji went by the alias “Adil Kay” on Facebook.

As of the same date, Kauoadji’s Twitter bio said he was located in “Brooklyn, NY.”

Anti-Semitism

On June 10, 2015, Kaouadji tweeted: “Reddit is owned by Advance Publications which is essentially owned by a Jewish family. Spewing propaganda and harassing Muslims is a motto.”

On May 3, 2015, Kaouadji tweeted: “When black Israeli's realize who the true oppressors are and how unwelcome they are in the Jewish community, Islam will welcome them openly.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On June 8, 2016, Kaouadji tweeted: “I boycott Israel. Come arrest me New York.”

On June 3, 2015, in response to a tweet by a black female Israeli soldier that read: “First time my brother&I are wearing uniform at the same time different units&places but the same goal Protect #Israel.” Kaouadji tweeted: “It's calm for you. Zionist civilians would have your head on a platter if they had their way.”

Kaouadji added: “To protect the zionists who would have African blood on their hands just the same as Palestinian blood? It's calm 4u.”

On November 15, 2015,  Kaouadji tweeted: “How can Israel stand by anti-terror when they are a terrorist state?” Kaouadji tweet was in response to a tweet by AFP news agency that read: “#BREAKING Israel stands ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with France in anti-terror fight: PM.”

On June 3, 2015, Kaouadji tweeted: “Shameful how any person from an African nation would would side with Israel. How can you side with your own oppressor?”

On the same day, Kaouadji tweeted: “@Reefer_z: @eatinghalalfood when pigs fly” Israel already got an airline.”

On June 10, 2014, Kaouadji tweeted: “FREEZE ALL AID TO ISRAEL UNTIL IT COMPLIES WITH INTERNATIONAL LAW & HUMAN RIGHTS! http://wh.gov/lFN95.”

On May 18, 2014, Kaouadji tweeted: “@Theangryelk Israel will say we don't let in animals once they see my name is actually Mohammed.”

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true. 

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”  

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
