Mohammad Khawaja

Overview

Mohammad Khawaja has expressed support for Hamas and spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel on Twitter.

In 2012, Khawaja was affiliated with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of South Florida (USF) and is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of June 2018, Khawaja’s Facebook page said he was the “Owner” of “peoples beauty supply” from “1993 to present” and worked for the automation service “Vivint Smart Home” in “Marketing.”

Khawaja’s Facebook page also said he was a studying Business Administration at USF from “2014 to 2020.”

Support for Hamas

On July 25, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Khawaja tweeted: “Hamas is not a terrorist group that's what the Zionist want you to believe all there doing is defending out country.”

Hamas is a designated terrorist organization by the European Union, Canada, Australia, the United States and Israel.

Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

Anti-Semitism

On April 23, 2018, in response to a tweet that read: “I’ll never understand people who act like the complete victim when they’re the entire problem ?????” Khawaja tweeted: “Say it louder for the yahood [Jews].”

On September 4, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “Shhhhhhh don't let them hear you, you'll ruin there Zionist plot.”

On August 16, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “Here you go, the reasons why our countries are in turmoil and why the yahood [Jews] are so good at what we do.”

On July 28, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “Holocaust ancestors are blocking Muslims from praying in a mosque let that sink in for a second.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On September 18, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “Idk what's worse The fact that they r acknowledging Israel or that they r calling it a democratic country.”

On July 27, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “70+years they try to wipe usoff the face of earth bt they cant Palestinian blood isthe strongest weapon known 2 man askthe Israelis they kno.”

On July 22, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “Bro with all the s**t going on rn, F**k Israel and f**k You for this post lol”

On July 16, 2017, Khawaja tweeted: “I hate Israeli Zionist.”

On July 2014, Khawaja tweeted: “@amaniw_x @ItsJustMe7o7 unlike you hitler was better then you Zionist. You are proving his point for him everyday #FreePalestine.”

On July 16, 2014, Khawaja tweeted a photo that featured a photo of Israeli soldiers grieving at the funeral of Yonatan Hadassi on July 20, 2006. Hadassi was killed the previous day in a battle with Hezbollah militants on the Lebanon border.

The photo Khawaja tweeted featured a caption mocking the grief of Hadassi’s mourners, that read: “And after I shot his mother he threw a rock at me.”

Khawaja commented: “Israeli logic poor guy.”

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
