Marwan Kaid
Overview
Marwan Kaid has expressed support for the Hamas terror group spread anti-Semitism, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel conspiracy theories and promoted violence on social media.Kaid has also demonized Israel and is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In 2013 and 2014, Kaid was affiliated with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the College of Staten Island (CSI), part ofthe City University of New York (CUNY).
In 2014, Kaid was an activist with Al Awda — The Palestinian Right to Return Coalition.
As of December 2018, Kaid was a member of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at CSI Facebook group.
In 2013, Kaid was affiliated with the Muslim American Society (MAS). As of May 2018, Kaid was a member of the closed MAS Youth Center-Crew Facebook group.
In 2017, Kaid was affiliated with the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an offshoot of the MSA.
As of July 2019, Kaid’s LinkedIn page said he was a student at CSI from “2009-2015.”
Kaid’s tweets from 2013, 2014, and 2015 also indicate that he was a student at CSI. On June 2, 2016, Kaid tweeted a photo of himself in a graduation gown and wrote “MBA Class of 2016.” In 2014, Kaid tweeted that he had a “BA in accounting.”
As of 2017, Kaid was reportedly living in Brooklyn, New York.
Support for Hamas Terrorism
On July 24, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “Israeli and Sisi thought hamas would be begging for mercy. Allah yinsur min nasir al deen. [May Allah make victorious that which makes religion victorious] #ISupportTheResistance.”
On July 24, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “I support the Residence in gaza and my duas are with hamas.”
On the same day, Kaid tweeted: “Ya allah give the mujahideen fee [in] gaza strength and vision.”
Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
Hamas fired over 4,564 missiles and rockets at Israeli population centers during OPE.
Anti-Semitism
On July 20, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “CNN Goldman Sachs & the Zio Matrix:”
The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.
Kaid’s tweet linked to a video produced by David Duke, aformer Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan who is also a Holocaust denier, an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and a convicted felon.
The video was captioned: “This video reveals how the Zionist Matrix of Power controls Media, Politics and Banking and how each Part of this Tribalist matrix supports and protects each other! The documentary shows how the media is biased for Zionist interests in Palestine and over the world.”
On September 15, 2016, Kaid tweeted: “‘...May the Jews keep their money, the Uthamani’s will not hide in castles built with the money of the enemies of Islam.’ I love this.”
On July 27, 2016, Kaid tweeted: “At an all Jewish hospital about to pray Fajr if I get locked up this tweet better go Viral.”
On September 10, 2015, Kaid tweeted: “Going to Palestine for Habbas' wedding in a few months. The yahood [Jews] are definitely gunna violate me 😌.”
On July 16, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, ‘You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice.....’surat Al Isra [The Night Journey Sura].”
On April 17, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “Meme doesn't want me reading her books how YAHOODI [Jewish] is that!”
On December 12, 2013, Kaid tweeted: “Saudia Arabia thinks they run s**t. They will always be bent over by America and Yahood [Jews].”
On the same day, Kaid tweeted: “Saudi arabians are the biggest Scum this planet had seen worse than yahood [Jews].”
On August 7, 2012, Kaid tweeted: “@Sirhamudi bro you don't have to take them serious, pass who you want and fail the yahood [Jews] lol.”
Spreading Anti-Semitic and Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories
The post included a video of the halls of Congress, showing Israeli flags, and signs that read “I stand with Israel” outside the doors of members of Congress."

Promoting Violence
On July 22, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “If you think my tweets about gaza and Palestine are getting annoying. Heres what you can do, go smash your you head on to a rock.”On July 18, 2014 Kaid tweeted: “Excuse me if a celebrate when a zionist pig gets killed in GAZA! Israel you are strong but allah has made your Hearts weak!”
On July 9, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “The second I hear a zionist say ‘they're (palestinians) bombing us’, I want to rip their heads off. I hate the media.”
Demonizing Israel
F**k Israel On July 31, 2015, Kaid tweeted a video of someone yelling at a car which had an Israeli flag hanging from the rear view mirror, “Yo! Trash! That flag is trash!”
On March 7, 2015, Kaid tweeted a graphic that stated: “Solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict - Relocate Israel into the United States.” Kaid commented: “I don't see why not! Free Palestine. Save our tax dollars.”
On August 7, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “‘72 hour ceasefire’ so you got bored and started abducting palestine kids? #IsraelIsTheDevil.”

On August 16, 2013, Kaid tweeted a photo of himself at an anti-Israel demonstration alongside members of the Neturei Karta, standing next to a banner that read: “Israel, much worse than the Nazis.”
Neturei Karta is an anti-Israel Jewish fringe group whose leader, Yisroel Dovid Weiss, was excommunicated from many Ultra-Orthodox Jewish groups for participating in a 2006 Holocaust denial conference in Iran. The group opposes Zionism on religious grounds and has called to dismantle Israel.
On July 20, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “@OfficialHanan ok umm the apes take over America. Stop funding Israel and go in to PALESTINE and join my brothers and kick israels a**.”
On July 19, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “israel seems to keep filling jannah [heaven] up with palestinians! Allahuakbar [Allah is great].”
On July 6, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “I rather be piss broke than to pay taxes to this damn country which eventually ends up with israel.”
Supporting BDS
On July 12, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “I support #BDS #BoycottIsrael Don't just tweet about it be about it.”On March 21, 2014, Kaid tweeted: “I wish I went to the University of Michigan. Best believe they'll need an extra pair of cuffs for me. #SJP #FreePalestine #UMDivestSitIn.”
Anti-Israel Activism
On June 22, 2014, Kaid tweeted a photo of himself at an Al-Awda-organized anti-Israel demonstration, opposing Israel’s OPE in Gaza.Kaid held a sign that read: “End the war on youth and children!” Other demonstrators at the Al-Awda rally held signs that read: “Israel = Racism & Genocide.”
On July 31, 2014, Kaid tweeted a photo of himself at a “Die in” at Union Square, NY, wearing a T-Shirt that read: “They’re just Children. Got Humanity.”
CSI SJP - Misappropriating Feminism
On March 5, 2016, CSI SJP shared an NYC SJP blog post on Facebook to “commemorate International Working Women’s Day as an inseparable aspect of the fight for Palestinian liberation.”The post declared: “Women who facilitate Zionist aggression in Palestine do not have any common ground with women resisting it.”
The blog post praised international hijacker Leila Khaled for “committing her life to be a freedom fighter in the struggle for Palestinian liberation.”
Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
NYC SJP’s blog post went on to praise PFLP terrorists Khalida Jarrar and Rasmea Odeh.
Khalida Jarrar is a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization. She has reportedly been the head of the PFLP in the West Bank since 2016. In 2015, an Israeli military court sentenced Jarrar to 15 months in prison for calling to kidnap Israeli soldiers. Israel arrested Jarrar again in 2017 “on suspicion of involvement with terrorist activities and violent public disturbances.” In 2019, she was arrested by Israel with 50 other PFLP operatives following a deadly 2018 bombing attack.
Odeh was a key military operative with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization. In 1969, she masterminded a PFLP supermarket bombing that killed two college students. She also attempted to bomb the British consulate in Jerusalem. Odeh later moved to the United States but was deported to Jordan in 2017 for immigration fraud.
The post alleged “Israel is a state that was built on the murder and rape of Palestinian women” and claimed “the state forces women to give birth at checkpoints, where more than half of the babies died as a result.”
The post concluded “Smash the Patriarchy! Smash the Settler Zionist State! Free Palestine, and Free Women EVERYWHERE!"
CSI SJP - Whitewashing Terrorists
On October 6, 2016, CSI SJP posted a photo montage of four Palestinian teenangers, titled “4 Palestinian Teenagers EXECUTED in Cold Blood by Zionist Occupying forces in less than 32 hours. Ages 13-19.”One teenager pictured was 19 year-old Fadi Aloon
Fadi Aloon was shot by Israeli security forces after he stabbed a 15-year-old Israeli boy. Several hours before the attack, Aloon posted “Either martyrdom or victory” on his Facebook page.
Another youth pictured was Muhannad Halabi.
Halabi murdered two Israelis and injured two others, including a 2-year-old, during a stabbing spree.
One day earlier, Halabi posted on his Facebook page that "the [t]he third Intifada is here" and wrote "[w]ake up from your slumber and save al-Aqsa. Let the revolution erupt."
Also pictured was Hudhaifa Suleiman aged 18, who participated in a Hamas-organized riot where “hundreds of Palestinians...threw firebombs, rolled burning tires and threw rocks at [Israeli] soldiers.”
CSI SJP - Spreading Propaganda
On February 22, 2015, CSI SJP posted an Al-Jazeera article that claimed “Hundreds of Palestinians flee as Israel opens dams into Gaza Valley.” Al-Jazeera later admitted the story was false , as there were no dams in Southern Israel that could be opened.As of July 2019, CSI SJP still had not removed the post.CSI SJP - Urging Anti-Israel Violence
On October 6, 2015, CSI SJP, shared an NYC SJP “statement of solidarity” with a “Day of Rage” rally held at the Israeli consulate in New York on October 6, 2015. The event was co-sponsored by a number of anti-Israel organizations including NY4Palestine, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) and NYC SJP and urged support for a “Day of Rage” called for by “Palestinian forces.”At the bottom of that statement was a graphic of a keffiyeh- masked Palestinian throwing a rock, with the caption “Let the Intifada pave the way for People’s war!”
The “Days of Rage” in October of 2015 were heralded by Hamas as the advent of a new intifada. They directly resulted in the deaths of Israeli civilians by shootings, stabbings and car rammings.
CSI SJP - Supporting Steven Salaita
On January 29, 2015 , CSI SJP posted an article on Facebook from the anti-Israel website Electronic Intifada supporting professor Steven Salaita. The CSI SJP post said: “Down with foreign government lobbies bribing universities to silent dissenters and organizers against settler-colonial states!”.In 2014, The University of Illinois withdrew an offer of employment to Salaita after becoming aware of his anti-Semitic tweets. One tweet, posted shortly after Hamas kidnapped three teenage Israeli high school students, read: "You may be too refined to say it, but I’m not: I wish all the f**king West Bank settlers would go missing.” In 2017, Salaita posted to Facebook: “People ask if I would go back in time and change anything. I would not…I will die unapologetic.” In February 2019, Salaita stated that he had become a school bus driver in the Washington, D.C., area.
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
MSA
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."
The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.
The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
