Overview

Manar Abugeith has spread anti-Semitism, defended the terror group Hamas, equated Israel with Nazi Germany and spread hatred of Israel on Twitter.

Abugeith is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

In 2017, Abugeith was affiliated with the General Union of Palestine Students (GUPS) at San Francisco State University (SFSU).

In 2014, Abugeith promoted an anti-Israel demonstration organized by the answercoalition.org. Answercoalition.org has supported Palestinian terrorists like Ahmed Sa’adat, the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

In 2014, Abugeith was affiliated with the anti-Israel Arab Resource and Organizing Center (AROC).

In 2015, Abugeith indicated on Twitter that she went to, and in 2012 was a student at Bard College (Bard).

In January 2018, Abugeith was commended on Instagram for completing Starbucks Advanced Store Training (AST) and certification in Fremont, CA.

Anti-Semitism

On May 4, 2017, Abugeith tweeted: “Girl I had a customer call my store to complain about my name tag cuz it had Palestine on it. She one salty a** ya7oodia [Jew].”

On October 13, 2016, Abugeith tweeted: “I swear I'm living with yahood [Jews] 😒.”

On September 8, 2015, Abugeith tweeted: “@DieVerseCA yeah.. A relative of mine left his cousin wife for a Jew 😕.”

On February 26, 2015, Abugeith tweeted: “Why do I always find s**tty Jewish promotions on my TL? Get that s**t off of here.”

On July 24, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “The media is run by Jews and is mostly portrays what they want to show the world.”

On October 29, 2013, Abugeith tweeted: “I can't wait until Allah ye3azb al yahood [I can't wait until Allah tortures the Jews].”

On September 11, 2011, Abugeith tweeted: “ya'll should know that the US media is controlled by the jews....no thinker and they hated arabs like come on.. common sense.”

Defending Hamas

On August 7, 2014, in response to a tweet that read: “it's not our fault that Hamas are firing rockets from these places,” Abugeith tweeted: “actually it is. Israel started over a hoax they've invented over the kidnaps.”

Hamas was responsible for the kidnapping of three Israeli teenagers from a bus stop on June 12, 2014. The abducted boys were murdered by their captors, and their bodies were found buried in Palestinian-controlled territory on June 30, 2014.

On July 24, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Abugeith tweeted: “Hamas only reacts when it's provoked. It's only hated b/c it's sticks to islam laws which seems as a threat which isn't.”

Israel commenced Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July 2014, to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

Equating Israel with Nazi Germany

On August 4, 2014, during OPE, Abugeith tweeted: “Still don't think this is a holocaust? Israel's officials are calling for concentration camps for #Gaza.” Abugth linked to an article that misquoted an Israeli cabinet minister and claimed he called for placing Palestinians in “concentration camps.”

On July 25, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “If you have an once of humanity left in your body then please help #gaza Boycott Israel. Support #Palestine save the children from genocide.”

Also on July 25, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “The genocide isn't even about Hamas, it's about Israel cleansing a dense population to take over the land. #Gaza #Palestine.”

Hamas fired over 4,564 missiles and rockets — including Grad rockets — at Israeli population centers during Operation Protective Edge (OPE) in July of 2014.

During OPE, Hamas forced journalists to conceal its war crimes when reporting from Gaza. However, multiple news sources exposed Hamas's exploitation of civilian infrastructure to attack Israel, as well as Hamas's use of human shields to frustrate Israel’s efforts to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza.
On July 24, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “as far as I can see & the world it seems like Israel is in ability to wipe out #gaza & Palestine as they are currently doing.”

On the same day, Abugeith tweeted: “Out of all people you expect Israel to never commit a genocide on others after what they've been through. #gaza”

Also on July 24, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “It's really ironic how Israel is committing a holocaust as we speak #Gaza”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On May 14, 2018, in response to a tweet by British novelist J.K. Rowling that read: “Well done #Israel #Eurovision Worthy winner

” Abugeith tweeted: “1. Israel is not in Europe. 2. You live in an imaginary world just like Israel supports. 3. Shame on you for supporting an ongoing genocide.”

On May 11, 2018, in response to a tweet by U.S. President Donald Trump that read: “Big week next week when the American Embassy in Israel will be moved to Jerusalem. Congratulations to all!” Abugeith tweeted: “Trash enta w Israel [Trash you and Israel]”

On February 20, 2017, Abugeith tweeted: “Dafuq is this on my feed?! Nakesni ashoof Zionist terrorists fi hal lella 🇮🇱🚽 [Like all I need is to see zionist terrorists on this night].” The tweet featured an image posted by Friends of the IDF calling to support Israeli soldiers.

On May 27, 2015, Abugeith tweeted: “Israel is determined to wipe Gaza off the map. And it's us who are watching it all happen. #PrayForGaza #GazaUnderAttack.”

On May 26, 2015, Abugeith tweeted: “Israel always attacks gaza before, during, and after Ramadan. There is no line that they haven't crossed #GazaUnderAttack.”

On July 25, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Mosques,churches,hospitals,houses,even graves are targeted by Israel. There's no shelters! No resources! Stop the genocide #Palestine #Gaza.”

Also on July 25, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “800+ have already been killed in a short amount of time by Israel.It's obvious they're killing anyone who lives in #gaza &blaming Hamas 4 it.”

That day, Abugeith also tweeted: “Everyone should follow’Israel is a terrorist state]’on vine! #Gaza #GazaUnderAttack #FreeGaza #PalestineUnderAttack #Palestine #FreePalestine.”

On July 20, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “There's a difference among Jews,Israelis,Zionist. Jew=religious Israeli=citizen of Israel Zionist=political movement to wipe out Palestine.”

On the same day, Abugeith tweeted: “When was it ever ok to kill innocents &call it self defense? Israel is a terrorist state run by Zionist- a political movement not religion.”

Also on July 20, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Those who still believe Israel is defending themselves need a smack in the face to wake up! Killing children is not self defense! #Gaza”

On July 19, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Israel will come to an end. Maybe not now but it will soon.”

On July 16, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “They're purposely targeting children They are our future and Obama is allowing Israel to kill them. E5sss 3elik! [shame on you!]”

On July 9, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Open up your eyes! Israel is committing genocide on the Palestinians!”

On June 22, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “My hatred for Israel is rapidly growing!”

On February 25, 2012, Abugeith tweeted: “Israelis have no right2enter the Aqsa&take it away so they can divide it into 2. not your land=not your country.prayers go out 4 palestine.”

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda served as the excuse for an upsurge in Palestinian violence that flared in the fall of 2015 and incited Palestinians to attempt mass casualty attacks on Israeli civilians in July 2016..

Promoting BDS

On July 16, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Everyone needs to get this app ‘Buycott’. #BoycottIsrael #PalestineUnderAttack #GazaUnderAttack #Gaza #Palestine.”

On August 4, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “The international boycott campaign against Israel has cost the country so far about 100 million shekels #Gaza.”

Her tweet featured an image of Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu with a caption that read: “WANTED FOR MURDER OF CHILDREN. AND PAID FOR WITH YOUR U.S. TAX DOLLARS! AS MOST AMERICANS ARE FINDING IT HARDER TO LIVE, CONGRESS IS GIVING AWAY YOUR MONEY TO SUPPORT MASS MURDER AND OCCUPATION OF PALESTINE.”

On August 3, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Israel has noticed that the boycotting is serious they changed their barcode from 729 to 871.Download Buycott app to help u boycott. #Gaza.”

On July 24, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Boycotting Israel is extremely important & helpful! Preventing them the money to continue a genocide on people that don't deserve it #Gaza.”

On the same day, Abugeith tweeted: “#BoycottIsrael coke, loreal, sodastream, mcdonalds, Burger King, nestle, Calvin Klein, #Gaza #FreePalestine.”

On July 22, 2014, Abugeith tweeted: “Going around stores and writing ‘boycott’ on Israeli products.”

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
