Mahdi Ibn-Kabir
Mahdi Ibn-Kabir reportedly signed an anti-Israel statement in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The profilee's activism occurred during an extended period of global antisemitism that began with the October 7, 2023, terror attacks, when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds. Israel immediately launched a war against Hamas.
The January 15, 2024 statement Mahdi Ibn-Kabir signed accused Israel of an “ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza” as well as “apartheid [and] ethnic cleansing,” during its war against Hamas.
Signatories were affiliated with the State University of New York (SUNY), and the statement sought to develop “a SUNY-wide Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement…at all 64 SUNY campuses.”
As of March 2026, Mahdi Ibn-Kabir's LinkedIn said he was studying for a bachelor's degree in computer engineering at Stony Brook University (SBU), slated to graduate in May 2026.
SBU is part of SUNY and is located in Stony Brook, New York.
