Leila Gordon

Overview

Leila Gordon (Leila Ili Gordon) has spread hatred of Zionists, denied Israel’s right to exist and shown support forterrorists. She has also whitewashed anti-Semitism and endorsed anti-Israel agitators. 

In 2021, Gordon expressed solidarity with Yasmeen Mashayekh, a graduate student at the University of Southern California (USC) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator who tweeted her desire to “kill every motherf**king Zionist.”
 
As of March 2022, Gordon’s LinkedIn page said she graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a master’s degree in Law in 2020. 

Gordon’s LinkedIn also said she graduated from the University of Bristol with a master’s degree in Law, and graduated from King’s College London (KCL) with a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies. 

As of March 2022, Gordon’s LinkedIn said she worked as a Contracts & Business Affairs Associate for the Wylie Agency from October 2020 until April 2021.

On May 7, 2021, Gordon tweeted that she was “doing actual law.” Gordon passed the New York State Bar exam in October 2020. 

As of January 2022, Gordon’s social media indicated that she was located in London, United Kingdom.

As of March 2022, Gordon used the handle “@lei454” on Twitter and Instagram.

Hatred of Zionists

On October 22, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “...i anticipate getting into a fight with a zionist in public that goes viral.”

On June 17, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “the lion emoji has to be banned until it’s reclaimed from zios I’m sorry.”

The term "Zio" is a commonly used derogatory reference to Zionists and an often-used anti-Semitic slur.

On February 18, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “yes please use ‘from the river to the sea Palestine will be free’ when speaking to any Zionists and also it’s libel as it’s written not slander, which is spoken xx.”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:52] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.

Denying Israel’s Right to Exist

On November 10, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “because Israel is a racist genocidal state that shouldn’t exist glad I could clear that up.”

On June 11, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “it is actually the source of many of my problems. Got at least 4 or 5 major things in my life that would be better if Israel didn’t exist.” 

Her tweet was in response to another tweet that said: “Israel isn’t the source of all your problems.”

Supporting Terrorists

Gordon retweeted a September 6, 2021 tweet that said: “The 6 Palestinian prisoners who escaped an Israeli prison is more than just a material defeat: It’s a symbol that the Palestinian will to live is stronger than any zionist force.”

On September 6, 2021, six Palestinian prisoners escaped from the maximum-security Gilboa Prison in Israel. The escaped prisoners were convicted members of the terror organizations Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, who were sentenced for their involvement in attacks carried out during the second intifada.

Gordon retweeted a March 8, 2021 tweet that said: “It’s international women’s day! You know what that means! Celebrating girlboss Leila Khalid.”

Khaled was a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau.

Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07]:for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.

Gordon retweeted aMay 27, 2021 tweet that said: “The Life and Death of Ghassan Kanafani, a [long] thread.”

Kanafani was a leading member and spokesperson for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) during the terrorist organization’s early years.

Kanafani announced the PFLP’s responsibility for the Lod Airport Massacre of May 1972 and was linked to the airport attackers. The attack killed 26 people and wounded 80 others.

Whitewashing Anti-Semitism

Gordon retweeted a January 15, 2022 tweet that said: “...White Jews go five minutes without being personally coddled during a crisis and act like it’s a f**king progrom.”

On October 3, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “petition to get capri sun kicked out of Bristol because she’s a racist tory crybaby who I don’t want having gone to the same school as me.”  

Gordon’s tweet was in response to another tweet by a Jewish student at the University of Bristol who campaigned to have Professor David Miller removed from his position at the university for “targeting of Jewish students” and making anti-Semitic comments. 

On June 11, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “frankly, at this point, the greatest threat to the jewish community is british jews.”

Solidarity with Yasmeen Mashayekh

In November 2021, Gordon tweeted multiple times in support of Mashayekh who was [00:11:08] in the middle of a national controversy over anti-Semitism she spread on social media that year.

In October 2021, Mashayekh was listed as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator for USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering (Viterbi). In May 2021, she tweeted: “I want to f**king kill every motherf**king Zionist.” She also tweeted: “yel3an el yahood [curse the Jews].” 

Mashayekh has also spread violent hatred of Israeli Jews, called for the destruction of Israel and America, expressed support for Hamas and glorified terrorists.

Mashayekh was condemned after Canary Mission exposed her anti-Semitic tweets. 

On November 24, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “As an alumna of USC I think yasmeen is incredibly cool.” 

Endorsing Anti-Israel Agitators

On June 10, 2021, Gordon tweeted a meme which said: “IF YOU WANNA BE MY LOVER YOU GOTTA STAND WITH ILHAN OMAR.”

Ilhan Omar was elected to the U.S. Congress in 2018. In February 2019, top Congressional leaders denounced Omar for tweeting anti-Semitic remarks. 

On October 13, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “dream man.” Her tweet included an image with text that read: “ARSENALJEREMY CORBYN #F**kTheTories NUFF [ENOUGH] SAID.” 

Jeremy Corbyn, a British politician and leader of the Labour Party, has repeatedly referenced terror organizations Hamas and Hezbollah as “friends,” shared platforms with extremists and anti-Semites and compared Israel’s government to ISIS.

On October 30, 2021, Gordon tweeted: “i do not say this lightly but british jews are an embarrassment to the entire diaspora.” Gordon’s tweet was in response to another tweet celebrating the suspension of Jeremy Corbyn.
