Layla Elkhan [Layla Nora Elkhan] has spread homophobia and promoted hatred of Zionists and Israel.

In the fall of 2020, while studying at Louisiana State University (LSU), Elkhan served [slide 3] as the “Director of Outreach” on LSU’s Student Government.

As of November 2022, Elkhan’s LinkedIn page said she graduated from LSU with a bachelor's degree in French studies and international/global studies in May 2022.

As of the same date, Elkhan’s LinkedIn said she worked as a “Legal Assistant” at Joubert Law Firm in Louisiana, since July 2022. She also interned for the “Bureau of Democracy and, Human Rights and Labor” at the U.S. Department of State from “Aug 2021 - May 2022.” Elkhan also interned for the Louisiana Democratic Party as a “Special Projects Intern” from “Aug 2022 - Dec 2022.”

As of November 2022, Elkhan’s LinkedIn said she was located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

As of November 2022, Elkhan went by the username and handle “@7aloufa5anza” on Twitter, the username“Layla Elkhanoufi” on Facebook and the username and handle “@laylaoufi” on Instagram.

Homophobia

On May 18, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “stop giving white gays platforms they’re annoying.”

On June 10, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “im going to tone down my anti white gay agenda i've gone full force but maybe i should let them enjoy the next 3 weeks... i shouldnt but i will.”

On June 27, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “I be feeling so damn homophobic when I see white gays be too white gay it’s ridiculous yet justified. Esp the ‘I’m illegal in ____ countries’ s**t like ok and my country is one of them lol.”

On October 11, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “happy national coming out day to the little gay people in my phone.”

Hatred of Zionists

On February 8, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “no way im up losing sleep bc zionist israelis piss me off so bad...”

On March 24, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “gaslighting zionists counts as community service i can sign those hours off for you.”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.

Hatred of Israel

On May 14, 2021, Elkhan tweeted: “told my insta followers 1 hr ago to block me if they support israel at any capacity and i gained followers lol.”

On May 13, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW) against Hamas, Elkhan tweeted: “Your government attacked this mosque three days ago. Have you no shame? Attacking Palestinians in one of their holy sites during their holy month, killing around 20 people. How could you wish them Eid Mubarak while simultaneously expelling them from their homes and killing them?”

On May 7-10, 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound, following claims that Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Al-Aqsa has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state.
