Overview

Lara Zubi has spread anti-Semitism and promoted hatred of Israel on Twitter.

In August 2020, Zubi featured [00:00:27] in a video shared on Twitter by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Benedictine University (Benedictine) where she was named as a member of the “SJP Board 2020” responsible for “Student Relations.”

Zubi has been affiliated with Benedictine SJP since December 2017.

As of April 2021, Zubi’s LinkedIn page said she was a Social Media Marketing Consultant at Media Vitamins in the “Greater Chicago Area” from “Feb 2021 - Present,” and was a student at Benedictine from “2017 - 2021,” studying Marketing.

As of April 2021, Zubi used the alias larazubiiiii on Twitter as well as on Instagram and on Tiktok. Her Social media page bios said she was located in Chicago, Illinois.

Zubi also spread anti-Semitism and whitewashed terrorists on Twitter as a high school student.

Anti-Semitism

On June 30, 2017, Zubi tweeted: “Yahood [Jews] are trash.”

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On September 28, 2017, in response to a tweet that read: “This morning, after a terrorist killed 3 Israelis & wounded 1, Gazans handed out sweets to celebrate the attack,” Zubi tweeted: “Ummm.... do you blame them?! IDF [Israel Defense Force] Soldiers kill thousands of Palestinians a day without any reason & without a word from the media. Grow up.”

On July 23, 2017, in response to a tweet that featured an Israeli flag and read: “Quote with what you call this in your language.” Zubi replied: “ زبالة

[Garbage].”

On July 22, 2014, Zubi posted a petition on Facebook calling to “Stop Military Aid to Israel, Including of the Pending \ ‘Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2015\’” and wrote: “Sign this 🙏.”

Zubi retweeted a January 18, 2018 tweet that read: “The dog wants the whole room !!! A picture tells everything !!! #palestine #israel.”

The tweet featured a comic portraying Israel as a dog progressively taking over its owner’s bed.

Zubi retweeted a December 19, 2017 AJ+tweet that read: “Remember the Palestinian girl who tried to defend her younger brother from Israeli soldiers? She's just been arrested.” The tweet featured a video about the arrest of Ahed Tamimi.

Ahed Tamimi has a long history of physically attacking Israeli soldiers. Tamimi is the daughter of Bassem Tamimi, who is known for exploiting young children as political props in staged confrontations with Israeli soldiers.

Zubi retweeted a December 7, 2017 tweet that read: “How would you feel if it happens with your own country??? #Jerusalem” The tweet featured a map of Israel known as the “Map that Lies.”

The maps claim that lands once controlled by Britain, Egypt and Jordan as autonomous “Palestinian land” were purportedly stolen by Israel. In February 2016, publisher McGraw-Hill Education recalled copies of a college textbook containing the fraudulent maps. In October 2015, American cable news network MSNBC apologized for airing a similar series of maps and retracted them.

The tweet featured two other photos of maps depicting Israel gradually taking over the United States and Australia.

Zubi retweeted a December 5, 2017 tweet that read: “Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine. Israel is an apartheid state founded on the illegal occupation of Palestine by the Israeli military. Zionism is the racist & colonial ideology which justifies the ethnic cleansing of my people - the indigenous people of Palestine.”

High School Anti-Semitism

On May 5, 2017, Zubi tweeted: “Wallah Atleast 4 butthurt yahood [Jews] tried to start beef w/me today on here, u can't argue with someone who knows their history.... BYE🖕🏻👋🏼👋🏼

.”

On the same day, Zubi tweeted: “These yahood [Jews] are always butthurt🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸.”

On January 28, 2017, in response to a tweet by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Zubi tweeted: “Roo7 moot ya ibn kalb, itfee 3alaik ya yahoodi [Go die you son of a b**ch, I spit on you, you Jew].”

Zubi retweeted a May 7, 2017 tweet by Luis Aguirre Di Niro that read: “Allah yer7hama [have mercy on her] may Allah grant her Jannah [Heaven] and punish those filthy yahood [Jewish] bastards.”

High School Whitewashing Terrorists

Zubi retweeted a tweet from May 12, 2017 that read: “Palestinian Girl ,Fatima Hjeiji, A Gifted Mathematics student, Seventh child killed by Israel in 2017 😢.” Hjeiji was shot by Israeli officers after she attacked them with a knife outside of the Old City in Jerusalem.

On April 16, 2017, Zubi tweeted: “The traumatic s**t this kid has to go through at such a young age goes to show how disgusting & heartless Zionists are.” Zubi’s tweet included another tweet about terrorist Ahmed Manasra.

Ahmed Manasra (sometimes spelled Mansara) and his 15-year-old cousin Hassan went on a stabbing spree in Jerusalem on October 12, 2015, during the Knife Intifada. They critically wounded a 13-year-old boy and moderately wounded a 25-year-old man. The spree ended when police shot Hassan and a passing motorist hit Ahmed. Ahmed was taken to an Israeli hospital. He admitted to investigators: “I went there to stab Jews.” He was later tried and convicted on two counts of attempted murder.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
