Kitam Tamimi

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 2] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians. 

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
On May 14, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Hamas was democratically elected. They respect all religions in the region even if they are an ‘Islamic government’. You people will go against anyone the west labels as ‘terrorist’.” 

On the same day, Tamimi tweeted: “Don’t be on here writing think pieces and insinuating any of our men are ‘terrorists/extremists’ when hamas is literally Palestinian refugees existing in an open air prison. the moment they shoot a missile in defense you loser start to grovel to Israel n [and] call them terrorists.”

Also on May 14, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “You’re not even Palestinian and quick to call hamas terrorists bc [because] the west said they were. Either support all Palestinians or don’t support us at all cause you look stupid trying to throw dirt on hamas bc [because] a genocidal state said they were ‘terrorists’.”

Hatred of Zionists

On May 10, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “You wouldn’t respect a nazi so why would I respect a Zionist?”


On May 11, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Y’all better be on here dragging every zionist. Were not letting them continue that false terrorist narrative ever again.”

Also on May 14, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “I hope every Zionist who supports the bombing of Gaza d*es inshallah.”

On May 15, 2021, Tamimi tweeted that “Zionists” are “bloodthirsty child killers.” 

On May 16, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Time to clock in for my nightly shift of b*llying Zionists on here.”

Hatred of Israelis

On May 10, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Israelis are so ugly my god, how does it feel to be colonizers and clapped [ugly]??”

On May 12, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Stfu [Shut the f**k up] colonizer” in response to a tweetfrom Israeli actress Gal Gadot. 

Also on May 12, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Calling Israelis colonizers is my favorite thing to do bc [because] it boils their blood. I could see them fuming through my screen.”

On May 23, 2021, Tamimi tweeted about then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose nickname is “bibi,” writing: “Silence bibi the colonizer.”

Demonizing Israel

On May 17, 2021,Tamimi also tweeted: “1.) there’s no war, just genocide 2.) all this is happening bc [because] of the genocide israel is committing.”

On May 16, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Ok, ISRAEL IS AN APARTHEID.”

On May 14, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Today’s the time for Arab unity NOT fighting, it is the duty of every Levantine Arab to stand up for Palestine against Israel bc [because] no one else is affected by their genocidal regime like we are. .”

On May 11, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “No israel isn’t at war, they’re ethnically cleansing the indigenous population and murder of children Karen.”

On the same date, Tamimi tweeted: “You don’t need to be expert to spot genocide and ethnic cleansing, colonizer.” Tamimi’s tweet was in response to another tweet that read: “Happy ‘everyone on Twitter is suddenly an expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict’ day.”

On May 11, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “It’ll take Israelis to stop stealing land from Palestinians. #SaveSheikhJarrah” in response to a tweet that asked “What will it take for @Israel and Paletinians to live in peace?...”

In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. 

On April 9, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Israel is an apartheid.”

Hatred of Police

On May 26, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “I love seeing Zionists and American cops getting bullied, it is quite literally my favorite song.”

On May 11, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Also I’m proud to say I’ve always hated the police and Israel. Never been a bootlicker and never will be alhamdillah [Praise be to Allah].”

Hatred of Israel Supporters

On May 18, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Of course a causcasian like yourself supports genocide abc apartheid,” in response to a tweet expressing Israel’s right to defend itself. 

On May 17, 2021, during OGW, Tamimi tweeted: “There’s a Direct correlation between supporting Israel and drinking cow p**s.”

Supporting BDS

On May 19, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Okay so we boycott Venmo and PayPal,” in response to a tweet that read: “Venmo Stops Payments for Palestinian Relief Funds, Citing 'Security Concerns' http://dlvr.it/RzwqlF.”

On May 15, 2021, Tamimi tweeted: “Someone interviewed me during the protest today and asked what I thought would bring Palestine liberation and I said ‘protests, BDS, posting and sharing what Palestinians go through every single day under Israeli apartheid’. I wanted to say violence really badly though.”

On May 8, 2021, Tamimi tweeted the hashtag “#BoycottIsrael” in a statement labeling Israel “genocidal.” 

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true. 

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”  

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
