Spreading Anti-Semitism

On April 14, 2019, Hennessy tweeted an anti-Semitic meme called the Happy Merchant. The meme suggested the “JEWISH MEDIA” was demonizing white American Christians as a “problem that must be stamped out” in America while ignoring the threat of violence from Black, Latino and Muslim people.

The Happy Merchant is an anti-Semitic cartoon caricature of a Jew with a black beard, long hooked nose, a hunched back, crooked teeth and wrung hands. The cartoon is often used in memes by white supremacists to spread conspiracy theories and harass Jews online.

On February 22, 2019, Hennessy posted on Facebook an image showing a Star of David and the phrase: “NAMING IS HALF THE BATTLE.”

On November 4, 2018, Hennessy tweeted a graphic of the anti-Semitic meme the Happy Merchant, sweating in fear, while being pointed at by a neo-Nazi skinhead. The graphic’s caption read: “This is not your country.”

The image was a screenshot from a 1992 film called: “Romper Stomper,” where an Australian neo-Nazi said [00:01:06]: “This is not your country,” at an Asian woman and then punched [00:01:14] her, [00:01:23] repeatedly.

On October 31, 2018, Hennessy tweeted a meme of a Nazi combat cameraman on a boat peering through the lens of a camera, with a caption that read: “Yep, das juden [the Jew].”

Hennessy was responding to a tweet from the host of a show MSNBC, that read: “- A devoted fan of the president tried to blow up George Soros last week. - The GOP is running ads that depict mayhem with the looming image of Soros behind stacks of money - A Nazi murdered 11 Jews in a synagogue, bc, he said, he was sick of the Jews funding a migrant invasion.”

On October 24, 2018, Hennessy tweeted the same “Yep, das juden [the Jew]” meme in response to a tweet by David Duke, which suggested Jews call out anti-Semitism only as a “trick.”

David Duke is aformer Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. He is also a Holocaust denier, an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and a convicted felon.

Kaczynski murdered three people and injured another 23 between 1978 and 1995, with letter bombs. He also attempted, unsuccessfully, to blow up a passenger airliner in 1979. Kaczynski was arrested in 1996 and was sentenced to eight life sentences, in 1998.

On August 5, 2018, Hennessy tweeted a meme showing an image of Kaczynski next to an image of Canadian Psychology Professor Jordan Peterson.

The meme quoted Kaczynski as saying: “The university intellectuals play an important role in carrying out the System’s trick. REMEMBER: PATIENCE = DEATH.”

The Othala Rune was adopted by the Nazis “as part of their attempt to reconstruct a mythic ‘Aryan’ past. Following World War II, white supremacists in Europe, North America, and elsewhere began using the othala rune,” according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Hate Symbols Database.
