Khalid Hatia has spread incitement, expressed support for terror and spread hatred of Israel.As of May 2023, Hatia’s LinkedIn said he graduated from York University (York)’s Osgoode Hall Law School (Osgoode) with a “Master of Laws - LL.M.” in 2019 and from the University of Leicester (Leicester), United Kingdom with a bachelor’s degree in law in 2018.
Also as of May 2023, Hatia’s LinkedIn said he was a lawyer at the Department of Justice Canada in Toronto, Canada, since August 2022.
As of May 2023, Hatia went by the username “KL” and used the handle “@_hk129” on Twitter.
Hatia also spread anti-Semitism and expressed support for terror while in high school.
Incitement
On May 11, 2021, Hatia tweeted: “Thank you for proving his point, that Palestinians have only rocks to defend themselves against rubber bullets stun grenades and thugs in riot gear :)”Hatia’s tweet was in response to a tweet that claimed Palestinians were attacked in the Al Aqsa mosque and another tweet with a photo showing Palestinians stockpiling rocks outside Al Aqsa.
In May 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound following claims the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The subsequent incitement was a leading factor in Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists firing over 4,300 rockets from Gaza into Israel later that month. Israel responded by launching “Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW),” carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza. Allegations of Jews “threatening” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque have been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews predating the State of Israel.
Although romanticized as a form of “popular resistance,” rock throwing remains a deadly form of violence.
Terror Support
On May 10, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW), Hatia tweeted: “If we walked into NYC and started throwing Americans out of their houses so Canadian families can move in, would you resist however you could or would you fight for your home? Embodiment of a soul-less politician right here.”In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Hatia’s tweet referred to a tweet by American politician Andrew Yang that said: “I'm standing with the people of Israel who are coming under bombardment attacks, and condemn the Hamas terrorists…”
Hatred of Israel
On April 27, 2023, Hatia tweeted: “...from the river to the sea…you know the rest
”“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a chant calling to dismantle the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.
Also on April 27, 2023, Hatia tweeted, in response to a tweet that said “Palestinians start wars” writing: “...if foreign backed forces commit a genocide, steal your land, and force you into an open air prison, you should definitely be excepted to be simply accept it! Dumba**.”
In the same thread, Hatia tweeted: “Israel was created via genocide and ethnic cleansing in 1948, you genocidal imbecile…”
On April 27, 2023, Hatia tweeted in reference to Jews outside of Israel: “...people from outside the region are moving there and illegally stealing land from native Palestinians…”
On March 3, 2023, Hatia tweeted: “The Deputy Mayor of Toronto just endorsed apartheid. What an embarrassment to the ward you represent.”
Hatia’s tweet was in response to another tweet by the Deputy Mayor of Toronto condemning a sign outside a Jewish-owned business that said “anti apartheid is not antisemitism” with a Star of David emblazoned across the sign.
Also on March 3, 2023, Hatia tweeted about the sign: “only 1 state that uses the Star of David on their FLAG which is an apartheid state you dumb f**k, nobody saying s**t about Jews…when was the last time you went to Israel and saw how white Europeans vs arabs are treated?”
The “Khazar myth” refers to the assertion that Ashkenazi Jews are not descended from the ancient Israelites but instead come from the Khazar People, whose ruling class was said to have converted to Judaism. One way anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to promote the Khazar myth to deny [00:02:16] Israel’s legitimacy through the denial of Jewish ancestry and Jews’ connection to the Land of Israel.

"On August 2, 2018, Hatia posted [slide 3] a photo on Instagram of graffiti on Israel’s security barrier that read: “Why are those who were oppressed now the oppressors???”
High School Anti-Semitism
On February 28, 2014, Hatia tweeted: “What's the difference between a Jewish kid and a fat kid? Fat kids come back from camp LOOL.”On November 5, 2013, Hatia tweeted: “I'd vote for Rob Ford if I was 18 the man has guts but isn't he jewish? Lol.”
High School Terror Support
On July 24, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Hatia tweeted: “...Israel's illegal occupation began in the 1940s, Hamas was formed in the 1970s. With Israeli occupation comes resistance, its simple.”Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
On July 25, 2014, Hatia tweeted: “I don't care if you're a Muslim or a Jew, if you destroy my home and take my land I'd fire rockets at you too.”
Also On July 25, 2014, Hatia tweeted: “...if the U.S came here, bulldozed houses, stole resources and put us in a ghetto in Quebec you wouldn't resist in any way?”
On the same date, he tweeted: “...Israels been dehumanizing pali's for 60+ years. Until all injustice towards pali stops Hamas will keep firing rockets...”
On August 1, 2014, Hatia tweeted in response to a tweet asking why Hamas fires “them” [rockets into Israel]: “because it tells Israel that they'll always resist oppression, they'll never succumb to it.”
