Joseph Charry

Joseph Charry was charged with possession of weaponry and suspended from the University of South Florida (USF) in June 2024 while leading anti-Israel demonstrations during Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza.

Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

In September 2024, Joseph Charry, a Colombian citizen in the United States on a student visa, was informed by the USF administration that his visa would be revoked as a result of his suspension from the university.

Joseph Charry also spread anti-Israel conspiracies during Hezbollah's rocket, missile and drone attacks from Lebanon into Israel in 2024.

Joseph Charry is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

In May 2025, the Tampa Bay Times reported that Joseph Charry was "now a student at Hillsborough Community College [HCC]."

USF is located in Tampa, Florida, and HCC is located in Plant City, Florida.
