Overview
Joseph Burnett has spread anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on social media.Burnett has self-identified as a “Hebrew Israelite” on Twitter, in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African-American religious sect whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.
As of January 2023, Burnett’s Instagram bio said he was the “CEO” of “Drip By Jacob.” On a second Instagram account, Burnett listed himself as the “Official Manager” of Righteouz Reactionz.
Also as of January 2023, Burnett’s Facebook About page said he “Lives in Godfrey, Illinois.”
As of January 2023, Burnett went by the username “Yawasap Gad Israel” and the handle “@Yawasap_gad” on Twitter. He also used the handle “@yawasap_gad” on Instagram and TikTok.
Anti-Semitism
On November 6, 2022, Burnett tweeted: “Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie;.”The phrase “synagogue of Satan” is mentioned in two verses from the New Testament’s Book of Revelation (2:9, 3:9). BHIs have used these verses to justify anti-Semitism.
On October 29, 2022, Burnett tweeted: “Jewish people mad that @KyrieIrving posting about a movie teaching ‘misinformation’ is crazy when they haven't said a damn thing about schools taking slavery out of their curriculums…But we gonna ignore that right?”
In October 2022, NBA player Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets promoted on Twitter the film, “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” The 2018 film called the death of six million Jews during the Holocaust as one of five fundamental lies invented by the Jews. In November 2022, the Nets suspended Irving for several weeks. In December 2022, Nike terminated its sponsorship deal with him.
On October 27, 2022, Burnett tweeted: “Revelation 2:9 KJV
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them 
which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
.”
On the same date, Burnett tweeted: “The book of Revelations says there will be a people on earth calling themselves Jew, but they are not. Those same people are the Synagogue of Satan. Now how often do we see devil worshipping and rituals etc. on Jewish ran [radio access network] platforms and media? 1 +1 ≠ 0
.”
In the same thread, Burnett tweeted: “The Jewish community act like someone that's guilty of a lie everytime someone say we the Jews First they reverse the blame, then shame the person, paint them as the bad guy, then take everything they gave them, make them apologize when they're in the wrongThe Devil Been A Liar.”
On October 26, 2022, Burnett tweeted: “The Jewish People Are Proving @kanyewestPoint About Them.”
In the fall of 2022, influential American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, sparked controversy for spreading [00:01:02, 00:04:37] anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and threatening Jews online. Videos of Ye proclaiming [00:00:25] his admiration for Hitler and engaging [00:02:42, 00:03:37] in Holocaust denial went viral. Following his comments, several brands and companies terminated their contracts with him.
On November 13, 2022, Burnett featured [00:14:16] in a video titled: ”YOUR SLAVERY IS IRRELEVANT!!” where he claimed [00:14:18] that: “The Europeans, the Ashkenaz, they came from Edom.”
Edom is a kingdom in the Old Testament. BHIs allege that Jews and white people descend from the wicked Esau, whose descendants are called Edomites. BHIs refer to Jews as “Edomites” to also deny that Ashkenazi Jews, whose ancestors fled to Europe, are descendants of the biblical Israelites. BHIs claim that they themselves are the real descendants of Esau’s righteous brother Jacob, who was the progenitor of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

Burnett was responding to a tweet that called on “all believers to pray with me for the protection and peace of Israel
Hundreds of rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip leaving multitudes dead and injured…”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
The accusation that Jews are “fake” and “impostors” [sic] with no connection to the Land of Israel is a popular teaching preached by BHIs.
In July 2020, DeSean Jackson promoted on Instagram a claim that Hitler said African Americans were the real Jews, and that “white Jews…will blackmail America.” The quote was exposed as a hoax by the fact-checking website, Snopes.com, in 2017.
Also on July 8, 2020, Burnett tweeted: “Hitler Kills His Own People For Claiming To Be The Real Jews When In Facts He Knew That They Wasn't…But Hes Labeled Worst Person In History…”
