Jonathan Provance

On November 17, 2024, Provance was filmed harassing Israel supporters outside of a StandWithUs event in San Diego, California, according to a tip submitted to Canary Mission.

Provance appeared [00:00:01] in a video with an anti-Israel mob that surrounded a man and a woman who filmed the incident. In the video, Provance told [00:00:04] a man: “Attack me, little b**ch!”

In the video, a man who identified himself as Danny Bruno from American Baptist Church, chanted [00:00:09]: “No more fear and separation! Palestine liberation!” He then screamed: “Zionists, zionists!”

Bruno also told [00:00:27] the woman who filmed the incident: “You’re a baby-killing Zionist! Face your sin!...I’m calling you…I’m calling you out to be a genocide baby killer! A Zionist! Zionist! Live with your sin!”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture. Zionism is a core part of the identity of most Jews.

On October 12, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “” in response to a series of images. The first image featured the Israeli flag with the words “BRING THEM HOME NOW” written on it, referring to the Israelis kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023. The remaining images implied that the Jewish Israeli hostages should be flown “home” to Europe.

One way anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is by denying [00:17:45] Jewish history, with the aim of delegitimizing restored Jewish sovereignty, attacking Israel’s legitimacy and portraying Jews as foreign to the Land of Israel.

The watermelon has been appropriated by terrorists and anti-Israel activists as a symbol of Palestinian "resistance" to "Israeli occupation," as it shares the Pan-Arab colors. It gained widespread popularity and usage following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023.

On October 28, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “Say it again!” in response to another post that read: “ SINWAR IS A HERO.”

Yahya (Yehiya) Sinwar masterminded the October 7, 2023 terror attacks on Israel and had been a Hamas leader since the 1980s. Sinwar was nicknamed the “Butcher of Khan Younis” after he admitted to killing 12 suspected Palestinian “collaborators,” and in 1989 was sentenced to four life terms in Israeli prison for crimes including the killing of two Israeli soldiers.

In 2011, Sinwar was released by Israel to Gaza following the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal and resumed his leadership role in Hamas. On October 17, 2024, the Israel Defense Forces eliminated Sinwar in Gaza.

On September 21, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “” in response to screenshots of rocket fire alerts in cities in northern Israel.

On the same day, Hezbollah terrorists launched a barrage of rockets deep into Israeli territory. Hezbollah’s war against Israel started on October 8, 2023, as the group launched rockets and mortar shells as an act of “solidarity” with terror group Hamas, which perpetrated a deadly incursion into Israel the day before.

Hezbollah has long been known as an anti-Semitic and genocidal terror organization dedicated to destroying Israel.

On July 23, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “” in response to the photos of terrorist Leila Khaled captioned: “I’M WITH HER.”

Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.

On July 23, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “Feels like a zio wrote ‘Every Breath You Take.’”

The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.

On July 31, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “Look, as Israhell [Israel] proves through its diabolical actions, that this was never about Hamas. This has all been about a Greater Israel…Can we get some serious retaliation to eradication? Tired of these #$%%%$@ Zionists!”

“Greater Israel” is a conspiracy theory which claims that Israel plans to expand its territory to encompass most of the Middle East and chunks of North Africa.

On May 27, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “If you cannot denounce this zio regime, I denounce you. This isn’t two sided, this isn’t two sides, gtfoh [get the f**k out of here]. This is evil, in it’s most vile form.…”

On November 19, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “...F$%# isr#$% [F**k Israel] !!!”

On September 22, 2024, Provance shared on Facebook an image of the flag of Israel with an hourglass in place of the Star of David, with sand running out, indicating that Israel’s time was limited. The text below the image read: “new flag for ‘israel’ just dropped.

On September 21, 2024, Provance shared on Facebook an image of a computer keyboard button with text written on it that read: “Delete Israel.”

On March 21, 2024, Provance posted on Instagram: “We have our ebbs and flows, but the zionist project will never tire us!…#FreePalestine / #EndZionism…”

On May 8, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “...f**k Amerikkka!”

The term “Amerikkka” uses the initials of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a way to demonize America as “fascist or racist.”

On July 25, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “...This is amerikkka.”

On October 4, 2024, Provance posted on Facebook: “!!!” in response to a post he shared with an image that read: “The United States is a Military Industrial Complex masquerading as a country.”

On September 25, 2024, Provance posted on Instagram a video that showed an anti-Israel protest, in which a speaker said [00:00:08]: “Israel is our death squad in the region…” He wrote in the post: “Thank you, to Doris, and everybody who came out yesterday!...”

On December 23, 2023, Provance posted on Instagram a video, in which anti-Israel protesters chanted [00:00:17]: “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free!” He wrote in the post: “From San Diego to Gaza, we sent love from every Raza! Viva Palestina!.”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
