On April 11, 2023, Corkill tweeted: “Only anti-semites or those who want to pretend to be the victims equate zionism with Judaism.”Corkill’s tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “An unbearable reality that no family should face. Two funerals within days. A tragic farewell to their daughter and sisters, and now to wife and mother, murdered by Palestinian terrorists in cold blood. Tearful, raw, caring and heartbreaking eulogies by the beautiful Dee family.” The tweet included a picture of the Dee family eulogizing their mother and wife at her funeral.
In the same April 11, 2023 thread, Corkill tweeted: “I've learned that resisting apartheid states is morally right. You haven't.
.”Corkill’s tweet was in response to a tweet that said: “We are standing with the Dee family, who lost their beloved wife and mother, Lucy, and teenage daughters, Maia and Rina to Palestinian terrorism. We’re joining Rabbi Leo Dee’s call and asking our supporters - share and post an Israeli flag in their memory.#DeesDay (1/3).”
On the same date, Corkill tweeted a GIF of a Palestinian flag in response to a tweet with a GIF of an Israeli flag and text that said: “In memory of Maia, Rina and Lucy Dee. Sending love and strength to their family.

.” On February 28, 2023, Corkill tweeted: “IDF [Israel Defense Forces] are the terrorists. Palestinians are freedom fighters.”
Corkill’s tweet was in response to a tweet by the Consulate General of Israel in New York that said: “We are shattered by the loss of Elan Ganeles, a US-Israeli citizen & IDF vet murdered today by Palestinian terrorists. Elan grew up in Connecticut & graduated last May from Columbia. He volunteered in his local community & sought to better the world. May his memory be a blessing.”
On February 27, 2023, 26-year-old U.S.-Israeli citizen Elan Ganeles was murdered by Palestinian terrorists who shot at his car from their vehicle while he was driving to a friend’s wedding.
Equating Israel with Nazi Germany
Corkill was responding to an August 13, 2018 tweet by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemning British politician Jeremy Corbyn joining in a 2014 wreath-laying ceremony at the graves of Black September terrorist leaders. Netanyahu’s tweet said: “The laying of a wreath by Jeremy Corbyn on the graves of the terrorist who perpetrated the Munich massacre and his comparison of Israel to the Nazis deserves unequivocal condemnation from everyone – left, right and everything in between.”
Black September was a Palestinian terror organization responsible for the Munich Massacre at the 1972 Olympic Games. The terrorists murdered 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team after holding them hostage for 19 hours.
On October 25, 2019, Corkill tweeted: “So... Never Again except for Palestinians. Genocidal is as genocidal does.” His tweet was a reply to an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) tweet that said: “In May 2018, Palestinian terrorist Islam Yusef Abu Hamid murdered 20-year-old IDF Staff Sgt. Ronen Lubarsky. / Early this morning, we demolished his residence.”
The phrase “Never Again” is often deployed as a general declaration against genocide, invoking the Nazis’ war of extermination against the Jews.
Hatred of Israel
On February 3, 2023, Corkill tweeted: “Israel is an apartheid state and equating all Jews with Israel is what is actually antisemitic.”Corkill’s tweet was in response to a tweet from Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, that said: “Ilhan Omar's past statements make it clear she is unfit to represent the U.S. on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. / - She repeatedly used anti-semitic tropes / - She described 9/11 by saying ‘some people did something’ / - She compared America and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban.”
On March 6, 2019, Omar’s supporters released “An Open Letter,” claiming there was “absolutely nothing anti-Semitic” about Omar’s attack on the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The letter also applauded Omar for her support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, concluding: “#WeStandWithIlhan.”
On September 23, 2022, Corkill tweeted: “Fact: Israel is NOT a legit democracy.”
On August 7, 2022, Corkill tweeted: “Israel is the terrorist state. They are no ally of mine.” His tweet was a comment on U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman’s August 6, 2022 tweet that said: “Americans stand with #Israel as our ally works to defend its citizens from the terror attacks that are being perpetrated by the heinous Palestinian Islamic Jihadterrorist organization. (1/2).”
In August 2022, the terror organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) threatened attacks on Israeli civilians. Israel preemptively launched OBD. Both PIJ’s northern and southern senior commanders in Gaza, Tayseer al-Jabari and Khaled Mansour, were killed in targeted Israeli airstrikes. PIJ responded by launching more than 1,000 rockets toward Israeli cities.
On December 11, 2020, Corkill tweeted: “Equating Zionism with Judaism is anti-Semitic. Supporting BDS is not.”
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.
On March 27, 2019, Corkill tweeted: “Oppression breeds Resistance. End your oppression of Palestine! Or at least pay for it yourself and stop stealing the $ I pay in taxes to use to kill children you a**holes. #FreePalestine.”
Corkill’s tweet was commenting on an IDF tweet with a video of an Israeli civilian who filmed herself in her bomb shelter during a rocket attack launched from Gaza at Israel.
On March 6, 2019, Corkill tweeted: “Criticizing AIPAC & the influence of their money on US policy, or the right wing policies of the current Israel government is not anti-Semitism! #IStandWithIlhan.”
The stated mission of AIPAC is to “strengthen, protect and promote the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.”
The implication that AIPAC buys political support for Israel has been described as playing into “anti-Semitic tropes” that led to “centuries of stereotypes about Jews using money to control the world.”
On January 30, 2019, Corkill tweeted: “I agree. Israel, a terrorist, apartheid country has no business having so much influence in US politics.”
On July 12, 2018, Corkill’s tweeted: “Ireland just keeps being awesome.

#BDS #Ireland.” Corkill’s tweet included another tweet that said “...the Ireland senate approved a bill calling for the boycott of Israeli products originating beyond the so-called 'Green Line' by a majority of 25 to 20.” On May 14, 2018, Corkill tweeted: “Atlanta protest tomorrow over events at Gaza border….” The protest was co-organized by Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP)-Atlanta Chapter and The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Georgia.
The event description stated: “Atlanta joins cities all around the world in expressing outrage against the continued ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. We call on all concerned individuals to take a stand for the Palestinians, still occupied, still violently forced from their land.” The tweet linked to a Facebook event page for an event titled: "Emergency Protest: Stop the Massacre in Gaza".
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
