Jaylen Pounds

Overview

Jaylen Pounds [Jaylen Thomas Pounds / Jaylen Yashar-El] has spread and justified anti-Semitism on Twitter.

Pounds has self-identified as a “Hebrew Israelite” on Twitter, in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American religious sect whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.

In 2021, Pounds indicated on Twitter that he was affiliated with the Israel United in Christ Church (IUIC)

In 2019, Pounds was reportedly a student at the University of Southern Mississippi and in June 2020, he indicated on Twitter that he “still was pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.” As of December 2022, his Twitter bio said that he was a “college dropout | bible student.”

As of December 2022, Pounds used the handle: “@hpflelct” on Twitter and went by the username “Jaylen.” On one Instagram account, he used the handle: “@6ixyj” and the username: “J.dot.” On a second Instagram account, he used the handle: “@juicyjaze_” and went by the username “tune.” For his Clubhouse account, Pounds used the handle: “@jaynoelect.”

In March 2021, Pounds tweeted that he was “from Mississippi but in Alabama right now.”

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On November 3, 2022, Pounds tweeted: “the Jew-ish community is racist toward every demographic of people that aren’t of their own. but of course, Kyrie and Kanye are the racist ones.”

In October 2022, NBA player Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets promoted on Twitter the film, “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America.” The 2018 film called the death of six million Jews during the Holocaust as one of five fundamental lies invented by the Jews. In November 2022, the Nets suspended Irving for several weeks. In December 2022, Nike terminated its sponsorship deal with him.

In the fall of 2022, American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, sparked controversy after tweeting that he would go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” Ye also promoted [00:01:02, 00:04:37] anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and argued he was not anti-Semitic because “black people are actually Jew also.” In the wake of his remarks, Ye lost brand deals with companies such as Adidas, Gap and Foot Locker.

On October 25, 2022, Pounds tweeted, ”🔥 ‘These poorly informed Blacks do not know that the Jews of Europe played THE SAME ROLE in their enslavement, oppression, and colonization as other Europeans’ ⚔️ #WhoIsTheJew❓.”

The claim that Jews were dominant in the Transatlantic Slave Trade was propagated in a book published by the Nation of Islam, a branch of the Black Nationalist Movement titled: “Secret Relationship between Blacks and Jews.”

The book has been discredited in a work titled: “Jews, Slaves, and the Slave Trade: Setting the Record Straight” by professor of History at City University, New York (CUNY), Eli Farber.

Also on October 25, 2022, Pounds tweeted: “LMFAO those Jewish imposters have the whole world thinking only themselves descended from Shem.”

On October 5, 2021, Pounds tweeted: “Book📕: Chosen People from the Caucus Author ✍️: Michael Bradley ‘I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.’📖 Revelation 2:9 King James V.”

On July 8, 2020, Pounds tweeted: “Who’s known for calling themselves Jews? Askenazi’s or the everyday ‘African-American/Blacks’? Who’s 2:9 talking about when it says ‘(but you are rich)’? Who runs the majority, if not all, of mainstream media that feeds us false information on a daily basis?”

The assertion that Jews control the media has been traced to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic fabricated text that depicts wealthy Jews conspiring to take over the world.

Ashkenazi Jewry originated from an ancient Jewish community in the Middle East, whose descendants settled in Europe.

Justifying Anti-Semitism

On July 5, 2020, Pounds tweeted: “@DeSeanJackson10bro, discontinue this with Edelman. you said NOTHING wrong, the quote from Adolf is 110% factual. Deflect what the media says about Hitler’s history…”

In July 2020, DeSean Jackson promoted on Instagram a claim that Hitler said African Americans were the real Jews, and that “white Jews…will blackmail America.” The quote was exposed as a hoax by the fact-checking website, Snopes.com, in 2017.

Pounds retweeted a November 9, 2022 tweet that read: “Day #235,799,903 of the Real Israelites waking up and destroying the JewISH lies with the Bible, facts, history and archeology: #IStandWithKyrieIrving #BoycottNBA.”

On November 20, 2022, Pounds tweeted: “😂 these Joo bafoons think they’re God. Repent? Why.” His tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “The NBA [National Basketball Association] can’t move on until Kyrie Irving repents…”
