Iman Tednga
Iman Tednga spread hatred of Israel and engaged in anti-Israel activism during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.
Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
In 2024, Iman Tednga served as a volunteer facilitator who led "weekly programming in Philadelphia public middle/high schools" associated with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP).
For more information on how SDP's schools are under federal investigation for their anti-Semitism, check Canary Mission's campaign "Philly's K-12 Schools."
As of May 2025, Iman Tednga was listed as studying design at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). Tednga is slated to graduate in 2026.
As of the same date, Iman Tednga's Facebook page said Tednga was from Moscow, Russia.
Penn is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
On February 22, 2024, during Israel's war against Hamas terrorists, The Daily Pennsylvanian reported that Iman Tednga "criticized the [Penn] University Council for allegedly changing their speech title in the meeting outline to 'The University’s Response to the Israel-Hamas War' from their original title of 'The University’s Response to the Genocide of the Palestinian People.'"
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
On February 25, 2024, Iman Tednga spoke at an anti-Israel rally on the Penn campus. The protest was organized by the anti-Israel student group Freedom School of Palestine. The activists were reportedly wearing keffiyehs.
The keffiyeh is a Palestinian headdress traditionally worn by men, which has become a symbol of Palestinian nationalism.
