Spreading Anti-Semitism

On April 16, 2017, Asamarai tweeted: “Looool how salty do those Zio tears taste Anshel?”

The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.

On May 4, 2016, Asamarai tweeted to a Palestinian Twitter user, writing: “@albifalasteen I mean I get why y'all do that tho. You gotta outnumber the yahood [Jews] one way or another lmao.”

On January 15, 2016, Asamarai tweeted: “@Klashinkhalil__ It won't work on us. We aren't passive like the Japs [Japanese] or the Jews. You can count on a lot of bloodshed though, we'd fight.”

On January 13, 2015, Asamarai tweeteda derogatory comment about Jews, where he referenced an account of Muslim-Jewish conflict during the 7th century, when a particular Jewish tribe was charged with treason and its men reportedly beheaded.

Asamarai wrote: “Even when the evidence is in front of you? You remind me of the Jews of Madina.”

Promoting Incitement

On November 14, 2015, Asamarai wrote on Facebook: “I will fight till the last drop of blood in my body to defend my greatest honor, pride, and joy, Masjid Al Aqsa [Al-Aqsa Mosque].”

Fall 2015 saw an upsurge in violence across Israel incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The wave of stabbings — known as the “Knife Intifada” — saw young Palestinians throughout the country stabbing and attempting to stab Israeli civilians.

The attacks were sparked and fueled by Palestinian leaders propagating the libel that Israel intended to desecrate the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda served as the excuse for an upsurge in Palestinian violence that flared in the fall of 2015 and incited Palestinians to attempt mass casualty attacks on Israeli civilians in July 2016.. On September 10, 2016, Asamarai tweeted multiple times about the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In his tweet thread, Asamarai suggested that going to the Al-Aqsa Mosque should be encouraged: “Because psychological warfare is important and we non-Palestinians have failed to intimidate them with our presence.”

Asamarai concluded his thread, tweeting: “May Allah free all three of our holy mosques from the hands of occupiers as well as hypocritical anti-Islamic tyrants. Ameen.”

On April 3, 2017, Asamarai tweeted: “Bayt al-Maqdis doesn't belong to Zionists, Communists, or Secularists. It is the land of Allah and by Allah, it will return to His servants.”

“Bayt al-Maqdis,” the Arabic term meaning “Holy House,” is a variation of the Hebrew term “Beit Hamikdash,” which Jews have applied throughout the common era to the two ancient Temples built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In Arabic, “Bayt al-Maqdis” can also refer to the city of Jerusalem itself.

On July 25, 2017, Asamarai tweeted: “Israeli settlers are not civilians. They are active participants in a military occupation just like the IDF and should be treated as such.”

Supporting Terrorists

On November 15, 2017, Asamarai tweeted to someone, criticizing them for referring in a podcast to “the Islamic resistance in Palestine, specifically Gaza,” asa “terrorist group.”

The two Islamist groups active in Gaza at the time Asamarai tweeted were Hamas, which controlled Gaza, and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). The Hamas terror group referred to itself as “The Islamic Resistance Movement” in the introduction to its founding charter.

On April 4, 2017, Asamarai tweeted: “The only powerful resistance in Palestine is an Islamist group. The secularist resistance sold out a long time ago. You're misinformed.”

On October 4, 2015, during the “Knife Intifada,” Asamarai tweeted an image honoring three terrorists, including Fadi Aloon and Mohanad Halabi, who carried out stabbing attacks against Israeli civilians in the previous days.

Fadi Aloon was shot by Israeli security forces after he stabbed a 15-year-old Israeli boy. Several hours before the attack, Aloon posted “Either martyrdom or victory” on his Facebook page.

Asamarai wrote: “Wear your Kuffiyah tomorrow in solidarity with our beloved three brothers who were martyred in #Palestine this week!”

On October 3, 2015, during Israel’s “Knife Intifada,” 19-year-old Mohanad Halabi murdered two Israeli rabbis in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem’s Old City. The wife and child of one of the victims were also injured. The day before the murder, Halabi, a member of the terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), had reportedly posted to his Facebook page: “The third Intifada is here"and "Wake up from your slumber and save al-Aqsa. Let the revolution erupt.”

On January 21, 2015, Asamarai tweeted: “Calls Hamas stupid traitors yet claims to support the Palestinian cause. #ASSad fanboy logic.”

On November 14, 2015, Asamarai wrote on Facebook that Israel has carried out “Almost seven decades of occupation, genocide, ethnic cleansing.”

On March 31, 2015, Asamarai wrote a Twitter thread where he listed the “similarities” between Israel and Iran.

In one tweet in the thread, Asamarai wrote: “4. Both love the taste of Arab blood and wouldn't hesitate to create a feast (genocide) in order to preserve their power in the region.”

On January 21, 2015, Asamarai tweeted: “.@righteousaxe @ZNovetsky ISIS is very similar to the state of Israel. They both distort religion in order to achieve their political goals.”

On January 19, 2015, Asamarai tweeted: “@aryabarzi Most Arab ppl hate Israel, only Arab leaders don't. In Kurdistan, many ppl have been brainwashed into loving them.”

Some people talk about the dīn, some people work for the dīn, and some are willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for the dīn.”

On December 17, 2018, Asamarai tweeted: “Also, MB was definitely not trying to turn Egypt into a theocracy lol. But even if they were, what’s wrong with that?”

On March 27, 2017, Asamarai tweeted: “It's funny how people try to call the Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] violent. My only criticism of them is that they're too soft lol.”

SJP UMN Activism

ON March 1, 2016, Asamarai tweeted: “Watch us live at the #UMNDivest Forum!!!!http://youtu.be/EfqhwxGd5N4.”

SJP UMN then retweeted Asamarai’s tweet which included a YouTube link to the SJP UMN livestream of a BDS resolution vote at UMN, led by SJP UMN.

High School Anti-Semitism

On September 17, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “Khaybar khaybar. #HistoryRepeats.”

Khaybar Khaybar, ya yahud, Jaish Muhammad, soufa ya'oud [Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning]” is a chant recalling the early seventh-century Battle of Khaybar. At Khaybar, Muhammad and his followers massacred the Jews of that town and enslaved the surviving women as “wives.” The chant is often heard at anti-Israel rallies in the United States.

On July 11, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “Historically, Jews and Shi'a have one thing in common. They just love to stab Muslims in the back.”

On July 10, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “Historically the Muslims have always helped the Jews in their time of need yet they have always stabbed us in the back. History repeats.”

On March 26, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “@TheMoeDee IS a semite you idiot. You however, are probably a European Jew, not a Hebrew. Idiot.”

One method that anti-Israel activists often use to spread [00:02:16] anti-Semitism and deny Israel’s legitimacy is to claim [00:06:46] that Israeli Jews are not descended from the ancient Israelites and are therefore not Jews. The most common version of this claim is the “Khazar myth.”

Also on March 26, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “@TheMoeDee @loyola4israel Especially considering that you yourself are a semite and he is not.”

Asamarai was replying to a tweet that said: “@loyola4israel is calling me anti-Semitic which I take very seriously. My Jewish and interfaith friends can vow how absurd this comment is.”

High School Hamas Support

On July 8, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “Let's be real.. If it wasn't for ‘KHAMAS’, there wouldn't even be a Gaza strip.. Or ANY resistance. That's why Zio Nazis hate them so much.”

High School Equating Israel with Nazi Germany

On August 12, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “FYI Hamas isn't the first to dig tunnels to combat Nazi style oppression. Jews in Nazi Europe also dug tunnels. (see Warsaw Ghetto uprising).”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

On July 8, 2014, Asamarai tweeted: “@BDSits123 @haaretzcom 1967? Lol nope. They need to go back to pre 1948. Aka, Israel has no damn right to exist there at all.”

On October 28, 2013, Asamarai tweeted: “‘The Zionists have no right to the land of Palestine. There is no place for them on the land of Palestine.’ - Mohammed Morsi.”

SJP UMN Promoting BDS: 2016

On February 15, 2016, SJP UMN launched a divestment campaign, calling for the Minnesota Student Association (MSA) and UMN to support divestment from companies that SJP UMN claimed “profit from human rights violations in Palestine/Israel.”

SJP UMN’s statement announcing the campaign said UMN’s investment in the companies targeted by the campaign showed “implicit support for…the killing of civilians, and violations of their basic human rights.”

UMN’s Chief Investment Officer reportedly told The Minnesota Republic, a student-run newspaper at UMN, that the university had “no direct exposure” to the four companies targeted by the campaign.

On March 8, 2016, the MSA voted [00:26:24] to strike down the divestment resolution from the MSA agenda.

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.

CAIR

CAIR describes itself as a “grassroots civil rights and advocacy group” and “America's largest Muslim civil liberties organization, with regional offices nationwide.” Its official mission is “enhance understanding of Islam, protect civil rights, promote justice, and empower American Muslims.”

CAIR reportedly has “significant ties” to the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as Hamas. A number of former CAIR employees have been convicted on fraud and terrorism-related charges that resulted monetary fines, jail terms and, sometimes, deportation.

CAIR was founded in 1994 and opened its first office in Washington, DC, with the help of a $5,000 donation from the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), a charity founded by Mousa Abu Marzook.

Marzook, who was listed as a "Specially Designated Terrorist" by the U.S. Treasury Department in 1995, is reportedly a senior member of Hamas.

In May 2007, CAIR was listed as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a U.S.-filed action against the HLF for providing funds to Hamas.

CAIR was also listed  as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates, in 2014.
