Hazim Taiser Nasaredden
Hazim Taiser Nasaredden was arrested at a pro-Hamas encampment at Arizona State University (ASU) during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. He also spread hatred of Israel and promoted anti-Israel activism. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.
Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
On April 27, 2024, Hazim Taiser Nasaredden was arrested for third-degree criminal trespass at the ASU encampment, which was part of a national movement on college campuses during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of March 2025, Nasaredden was listed online as working as a "Pharmacist Clinician (PhC)/ Clinical Pharmacy Specialist" in Chandler, Arizona, National Provider Number (NPI) 1336621143.
As of the same date, Nasaredden's Facebook page said he was located in Tempe, Arizona, which is also where ASU is located.
As of April 2024, Hazim Taiser Nasaredden was affiliated with MAS Arizona.
MAS describes itself as a “grassroots” and “ dynamic charitable, religious, social, cultural, and educational, organization” with over 50 chapters throughout the U.S.
In 2008, U.S. federal prosecutors found that “MAS was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” In January 2012, U.S. Muslim Brotherhood operative Abdurrahman Alamoudi, who was convicted on terrorism-related charges in 2004, testified that “Everyone knows that MAS is the Muslim Brotherhood.”
The Muslim Brotherhood is a transnational Islamist organization which terrorism experts have called “the parent organization of Hamas and Al Qaeda (and Islamic Jihad),” and many more modern Sunni terrorist groups.
On April 26, 2024, anti-Israel activists and ASU students set up a pro-terror encampment to protest Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. Activists called the encampment, which was located outside the school’s Old Main building, the “ASU Liberated Zone.”
On April 27, 2024, following two separate warnings to clear out the encampment, Tempe, Arizona, city police and Arizona state troopers entered the campus and arrested approximately 70 people.
Law enforcement officers threw away tents that protesters had pitched. One Jewish student reported receiving death threats for helping the police dismantle the encampment.
The arrestees were subsequently charged with criminal trespass and burglary.
At the encampment, activists joined in the pro-terror chant: “When people are occupied, resistance is justified!”
Activists also chanted: “From the River to the Sea! Palestine will be free!” The chant is used to call for the elimination of Israel.
Other chants included support for BDS: “Disclose! Divest! We will not stop, we will not rest!”
On June 8, 2024, Hazim Taiser Nasaredden posted on Instagram: "DNA tests are not allowed in the Israeli project for a reason. Palestinian Arabs are the true descendants of the land, and no European/American Zionist will ever be able to prove otherwise. Palestine will be free, from the River to the sea. #freepalestine #freegaza #ceasefirenow #resistance #dna #dnatest #dnatesting."
Ashkenazi Jewry originated from an ancient Jewish community in the Middle East, whose descendants settled in Europe. Geneticists have determined that Ashkenazi Jews share a common genetic thread with different Jewish communities throughout the world.
One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to claim [00:06:46] that Jews, particularly Ashkenazi Jews, do not descend from the ancient Israelites. This claim alleges that Jews are white Europeans who lack a connection to the Land of Israel.
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.
On October 8, 2023, the day after Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, Hazim Taiser Nasaredden posted on Instagram: "Unapologetically Palestinian today and everyday as I make my way back home wearing this as I pray Maghrib/Isha here at the Kansas City airport as I return home from the MAS National GA meeting. Al-Aqsa storm is the inevitable consequence of continued Israeli oppression of the free men and women of Gaza, the illegal demolition of peoples homes in Jerusalem, and the relentless attacks on the sanctity of Masjid Al-Aqsa. I stand with my fellow brothers and sisters who continue to fight for the freedom of all Palestinians and more importantly the freeing of Masjid Al-Aqsa for every Muslim around the world. The people of Palestine have a much greater task in front of them in their fight of occupation. I will continue to nurture people and inspire change in a generation that may one day in the near future see a just and free Palestine."
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, also known as Al-Aqsa Storm, is the name Hamas used for their terror operation on October 7, 2023. It is a reference to the allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, and has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before Israel was founded in 1948.
On April 4, 2025, Hazim Taiser Nasaredden posted on Instagram: "PACC Action has a protest tomorrow (Saturday April 5th) at the Tempe City Council building at 5 PM. It starts right next to ICC Tempe, the march will then continue to downtown Tempe. We encourage you to share this message, share the flyer, and encourage everyone to come out and support a ceasefire in Gaza. #freepalestine #ceasefirenow #freegaza #paccaction #masarizona #icctempe."
There were over 140 pro-Hamas and anti-Israel college encampments set up in North America, and over 20 more globally, in the spring of 2024. The first began on April 17, 2024, at Columbia University. The encampments were unofficially known as the “student intifada,” borrowing a term associated with terrorist violence.
Protesters harassed Jewish students, blocked Jews from campus facilities and shouted anti-Semitic slogans. They occupied campus grounds, in many cases illegally, caused property damage, violently took over buildings, celebrated terrorism and promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Activists set up encampments to oppose Israel’s right to wage war against the Hamas terror group following October 7, 2023, when Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 people, including 32 American and 8 Canadian citizens. Hamas also kidnapped 252 people, including 11 Americans and the bodies of 2 murdered Canadians.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
