Overview
Hasan Hammo [Hasan Abdelhai Hammo] has called for violence against Jews and spread incitement.As of October 2021, Hammo was listed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) as holding a “Temporary Medical Permit” for an Internal Medicine residency program in Chicago, Illinois. Hammo’s license, number 125077974 was effective from July 1, 2021, slated to expire on June 30, 2024.
As of October 2021, Hammo was also listed as an “internal medicine provider” in Chicago, Illinois, National Provider Identifier (NPI) number 1407421118. As of the same date, the provider practice location address listed for Hammo by the NPI corresponded to that of the Specialty Care Center at the John Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois. Hammo’s NPI certificate was issued on May 25, 2021.
On June 21, 2019, Hammo updated his Facebook status to “Graduated from The University of Jordan - الجامعة الأردنية” and posted a photo of himself to Facebook wearing a graduation gown and holding a certificate. He captioned the post: “🌸 الحمد لله رب العالمين 🌸 💚 امي و ابي 💚 دكتور في الطب.” [Praise to Allah. my mom and my dad. A medical doctor!”
As of October 2021, Hammo’s Facebook page indicated that he was a “Resident Physician, Internal Medicine at King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center مؤسسة ومركز الحسين للسرطان” and that he graduated from The University of Jordan (UJ) in 2019.
In October 2021, Hammo’s Twitter bio read: “Internal Medicine at KHCC [King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center]; JU medical graduate 2019.”
Calling for Violence Against Jews
On May 9, 2021, during Israel’s “Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW)” against Hamas in Gaza, Hammo made his Facebook photo frame one that read: “#SaveSheikhJarrah.”In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
In May 2021, Palestinian violence erupted in anticipation of an Israel High Court ruling on eviction proceedings concerning over 70 Palestinian tenants illegally residing in Jewish-owned properties in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

On November 5, 2014, Hamam Mesalmeh, who was reportedly a Hamas operative, deliberately rammed his commercial vehicle into three Israeli soldiers, injuring all of them, near the Gush Etzion Junction.
According to a police statement, Mesalmeh confessed to “running down the soldiers as part of a planned attack.”
Hammo’s tweet included a link to a YouTube video that showed footage of the vehicle ramming down the three Israeli soldiers.

On July 14, 2017, terrorists murdered two Israeli police officers outside the entrance to the Al-Aqsa compound, reportedly following claims that the Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. In response to the terror attack, Israel installed metal detectors and security cameras at the entrance to the holy site, which the authorities later removed, after further rioting and escalation in violence.
