Hank Pin
Hank Pin [Che-Han Pin] has spread hatred of Israel and engaged in anti-Israel activism. He is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
In 2011-2014, Pin served as the treasurer of the anti-Israel campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at American University (AU SJP).
As of July 2025, Pin’s LinkedIn profile said he graduated from AU with a bachelor’s degree in international studies and philosophy in 2014. Pin also graduated from Georgetown University (Georgetown) with a master’s in Arab studies in 2018.
Also as of July 2025, Pin’s LinkedIn said he was an OSINT [open source intelligence] researcher and project manager based in the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore area.
As of the same date, Pin’s Facebook page said he was from Taipei, Taiwan.
On March 24, 2014, Pin wrote an article titled: “The Wall is an Accurate Reflection of the Ugly Reality,” in which she accused Israel of “apartheid” and “systematic oppression” of Palestinians.
On November 11, 2014, Pin posted on X: “Going on now: Birzeit University’s Right to Education Tour at Georgetown, hosted by SJP!...”
On the same date, Pin posted on X: “Tomorrow American University will host the Right of Education Tour!...”
Birzeit University’s student body has celebrated terrorists since at least 2003. That year, student government elections featured models of exploding Israeli buses, as parties competed on the basis of which Palestinian faction had killed the most Israelis.
The Right to Education Tour brings Palestinian students to U.S. campuses to promote a claim that Israel arbitrarily obstructs the rights of Palestinians to higher education. The organization has demonized Israel for its security sweeps made to shut down terror cells operating from Palestinian campuses.
On March 18, 2013, Pin was featured in a Facebook photo participating in “Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW)” events on the AU campus. Pin was holding an SJP banner alongside other anti-Israel activists in front of a “mock apartheid wall.”
Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) is presented internationally as a “series of events that seeks to raise awareness of…Israel’s settler-colonial project and apartheid system over the Palestinian people.” One of its goals is to build support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. IAW has been renamed Palestine Awareness Week.
The “mock apartheid wall” is a series of panels meant to represent Israel's security barrier, which was built as a deterrent to Palestinian terror attacks and in response to Palestinian sniper attacks. Panels feature misleading information and graphics intended to demonize Israel. The “mock apartheid wall” is often featured at Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) events organized annually by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapters on many North American university campuses.
SJP is the leading student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses. The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian, who has spread anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campus campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks and pushing the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, and SJP chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for terrorists.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
