Calling for Israel’s Destruction
On August 12, 2020, the same day Israel received a direct threat of increased incendiary balloon launches from Hamas’s Sons of Al-Zawari balloon unit, Mossolem tweeted: “I hope your ‘country’ [Israel] burns to the ground get out of my mentions.”The prior week, more than 60 fires in Israel were reportedly sparked by arson balloons launched from Gaza.
Also, on August 12, 2020, Mossolem tweeted: “This is how Palestine comes up at work, cant wait for the day it just says Palestine inshallah [Please God] it’ll be soon.”
Mossolem’s tweet featured a photo of a Nationality tab on an online database form, automatically populating the cell when typing “pale” with “Palestinian Territory, Occupied.”
Comparing Jews to Nazis
On May 19, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW) in Gaza, Mossolem tweeted, invoking the Holocaust: “It’s wild to me that the same people [Jews] that were persecuted and ethnically cleansed out of Europe have turned around and committed the same acts against others.”In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel.
Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Hatred of Zionists and Israelis
On May 18, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “This entire week has shown me that the media is not to be trusted. I know some Zionist’s are behind this
.”On May 12, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “I don’t want to hear that Israeli citizens are ‘blameless’, most of them are welcome and even have citizenship in other countries. If they didn’t agree with their government they would have left. But they feel like they have a right over stolen land. Don’t play victim.”
On May 7, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “The way zionists will literally reach for anything to justify killing hundreds of Palestinians so they can steal their land is baffling to me. You do realize you’re defending a literal genocide right??”
On January 18, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “Remember the Palestinian guy that made a whole thread about how Isr*el was the only legitimate state and Palestinian needed to do better to maintain peace just because he was dating an isr*eli girl

.”On October 12, 2020, Mossolem tweeted: “Hun I’m American and you’re a disrespectful piece of s**t supporting and illegal Apartheid state that cheers the killing of women and children i hope god punishes you in the afterlife as much as any soldier in the IDF [Israel Defense Forces].”
Demonizing Israel
On June 8, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “This cartoon is a representation of the apartheid and ethnic cleansing happening to Palestinians right now (who are not white). Just say you’re racist and go.”Mossolem’s tweet was responding to a tweet by a black Twitter user who commented on a cartoon demonizing Israel’s security barrier as an apartheid wall and referred to Palestinians in the cartoon as “white people living in shacks.”
On the same day, Mossolem responded again to the same tweet, saying: “This is literally a political cartoon of the apartheid that’s happening in Palestine. You’re disgusting.”
Israel’s security barrier, 97 percent of which is a low chain-link barrier, was built as a deterrent to Palestinian terror attacks. The concrete portions of the fence were built in response to Palestinian sniper attacks.
Also, on June 8, 2021, invoking the “Deadly Exchange” campaign, Mossolem tweeted: “Not to mention the fact that funding apartheid and the training the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]gives us police directly impacts the lives of minorities in the US.”
In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange (DX)” campaign, which accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses. JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S.
On May 18, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “You don’t always have to play ‘devil’s advocate’ when there’s a clear right and wrong. There is nothing just. Nothing good about Israel’s continued actions towards Palestine. There is no two sides. There is right and wrong.”
On May 16, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “Here’s a thread of messages you can send to your friends who have stayed silent during the genocide in Palestine:”
Mossolem continued on the thread: “Hey lol [laughing out loud] as bombs are dropping on Gaza i find it weird that you haven’t dropped any... support on your time line. Not tryna cause a conflict while there’s a genocide happening but i just wanted to see what’s up.”
On May 11, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “‘Indigenous to Israel’ is an oxymoron.”

.”On May 15, 2021, Mossolem tweeted: “There really is tbh [to be honest] I’ve been boycotting Starbucks on and off for years before i finally searched and found out it was non affiliated.”
Mossolem’s tweet was responding to a tweet that read: “people should honestly do their own research when it comes to bds and who to boycott, so much fake news on social media unfortunately.”
BDS
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.
One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”
Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”
In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”
The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.
Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.
BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
