Dua Shehadeh

Overview

Dua Shehadeh [Dua A. Shehadeh] has spread anti-Semitism, mocked Israeli victims of terror, defended the Hamas terror group and expressed support for other terrorists. 

Shehadeh has spread hatred of Zionists and demonized Israel. She has also promoted hatred of America and police, as well as demonized Zionism. 

In November 2021, Shehadeh called forsolidarity with Yasmeen Mashayekh, a graduate student at the University of Southern California (USC) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator who tweeted her desire to “kill every motherf**king Zionist.”

Shehadeh is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

As of December 2021, Shehadeh’s LinkedIn page said that she was a “Co-op Simulation Engineer” at CNH Industrial in Burr Ridge, Illinois since March 2021. She was also listed as a “4th year Electrical Engineering first generation student” slated to graduate in “December 2021” from UIC. On a UIC website, she was listed as a 2020 “Events Planner” for UIC’s Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). 

Also as of December 2021, Shehadeh was listed [p.24] on UIC’s Fall Commencement roster as a graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

As of December 2021, Shehadeh used the handle “bamyaislife” and the screen name 
“‎☭ #FreePalestine #NoToColonialism” on Twitter. 

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On November 26, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “The only culture the zios haveis fascism. And does anyone know why they are ‘ linguistically diverse’… because they don’t f**king belong in Palestine. They come Ukraine, Russia, Italy… anywhere but the f**king Middle East. Go back where you f**king came from colonizers.”

The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.

One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to claim [00:06:46] that Israeli Jews, particularly Ashkenazi Jews, do not descend from the ancient Israelites.
Also on November 26, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Something the zios could never have : an actual culture that they didn’t steal from a neighboring Middle Eastern country.”

On November 11, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “disgusting, how can some one boast about a ‘birth trip’ while a whole population is being ethnically cleansed. the zios are truly vile.” 

Shehadeh was responding to a tweet by a Jewish Twitter user that said: “Birthright in December”

Birthright Israel is a heritage trip to Israel for Jewish young adults from across the world.

Also on November 11, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “‘my holy sites’ pulling up the god is the real estate s**t. all the zios are gonna fry in hell.”

On October 31, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “yea the zios are good at stealing it as well as all MENA [Middle East and North Africa] food and labeling it as ‘israeli’.” 

On October 25, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Most of the Zionists residing in the West Bank and the occupied regions are ashkenazi European zionists. They have no connection to the land whatsoever.”

On the same day, Shehadeh tweeted: “... majority of the zios are European shipped from all over the world to continue the illegal expansions.#apartheid.”

On October 24, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “its masked islamophobia basically even tho they keep b**ching about anti-Semitism (besides the obvi point that Palestinians are Semitic and are not solely Muslims). Its mostly Ashkenazi European zios that also bring these random claims, not surprising.”

Shehadeh retweeted an October 16, 2021 tweet that read: “All zionists do is get inspiration from nazis.”

Mocking Israeli Victims of Terror

On November 22, 2021, one day after a terror attack in Jerusalem, Shehadeh tweeted: “Lol he did decide to settle in Palestine illegally tho so he can rot in hell. Should’ve at least stayed in the first apartheid his parents contributed to aka South Africa.”

On November 21, 2021, Eliyahu David Kay, a 25-year-old Israeli civilian and tour guide,was killed by a Hamas gunman, Fadi Abu Shkhaidem, who opened fire near the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Kay was an immigrant from South Africa who had served in the Israeli army. One civilian and two policemen were also injured from the shooting.  

On November 21, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “He is in love with being a settler it sounds like. Eternal hell for him inshallah [God-willing].”

On November 21, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted that Kay was “a devil just like all the zios.”

On August 30, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted about the death of an Israeli border police officer: “The sad part is.. he thought he is going to heaven for protecting apartheid.” She included a GIF in the tweet that read: “WELCOME TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL.”
 
On August 21, 2021, a Palestinian gunman shot Israeli Border Police Staff Sergeant Barel Hadaria Shmueli at point-blank range in the head. He died of his wounds nine days later. Shmueli was attempting to contain Hamas-led violent riots along the northern section of the border fence between Israel and Gaza.  

Defending Hamas

On November 13, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “On a sized note, Zionists love gaslighting the term Hamas to be perceived as victims. The Israeli occupation force receives billions of dollars yearly to kill Palestinians in the name of ‘ self defense’. Palestinians rejectingcolonialism and fighting against it is justifiable.”


On October 20, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Zionists always bring up Hamas to distract from the actual problem: the apartheid and the colonialism. resistance against war crimes, land theft, and colonialism is justifiable...”

On October 19, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Zionists b**ching about hamas like the Zionists don’t get billions of dollars yearly to commit war crimes… Resistance against colonialism is justifiable b**ches.”

On September 21, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “ofcs [of course] the idea of hamas is gonna be weaponized to support the further billion dollars funding of Israhell war crimes.”

Supporting Terrorists

As of January 2022, Shehadeh’es Instagram profile photo was a picture of Leila Khaled.

Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.  

On October 19, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “I am tweeting in solidarity with Palestinian hunger strikers, Kayed, Miqdad, Alaa, Hisham, Ayyad and Shadi. Join me! Copy and paste this tweet, and quote retweet with the hashtags #FreeThemAll #معركة_الامعاء_الخاوية [The_battle_of_empty_stomachs].”

In October 2021, six prisoners affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)'s armed wing, the Al-Quds Brigades, chose to prolong their hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention by Israel. The six men were Kayed al-Fasfus, Miqdad al-Qawasmeh, Alaa Aaraj, Hisham Abu Hawwash, Shadi Abu-Akr and Ayyad Hureimi.  

Shehadeh retweeted a September 6, 2021 tweet that read: “6 Palestinian political prisoners managed to escape a high-security Israeli jail this morning. I am going to bed with a smile on my face and dreaming of the day all prisons are abolished.”

On September 6, 2021, six Palestinian prisoners escaped from the maximum-security Gilboa Prison in Israel. The escaped prisoners were convicted members of the terror organizations Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, who were jailed for their involvement in attacks carried out during the second intifada. All were recaptured by September 19, 2021, by Israeli authorities.

Shehadeh retweeted another September 6, 2021 tweet that read: “Palestinian prisoners escaping an Israeli prison is a reminder that people powered resistance can penetrate the world's worst militarized surveillance -apartheid state #freePalestine.”

Shehadeh retweeted an October 18, 2021 tweet from Addameer in support of their field officer that read: “Earlier this morning, Salah Hammouri, 36y/o Palestinian-French HRD, lawyer at Addameer & former prisoner, was officially notified of the Israeli Minister of Interior's decision to revoke his permanent residency based on ‘breach of allegiance.’”

Salah Hammouri was arrested in 2005 for being in “a PFLP terrorist cell which planned to assassinate Israel’s former Chief Rabbi, Ovadia Yosef.” He was a PFLP recruiter and led a cell of three PFLP operatives who “obtained weapons and ammunition and began planning attacks all over Jerusalem.”  

Hatred of Zionists

On November 25, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “The zios have a special skill. Sh**ting diarrhea out of their mouths.”

On November 19, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “... the zios that claim to be pro Palestine could care less about Palestinians and the s**t they are experiencing because of theZionist Regime.”

On October 28, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Shut the f**k up, Zionist b**ch , europeans like yourself are a disease to this world…” 

On October 28, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Ted Cruze 100 percent supports zionism but he also supports Nazi salutes… the irony. Racists and fascists support colonial and fascist genocidal regimes.”

On October 26, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “EWW. cringe. my eyes. F**k off, liberal zios. end the apartheid b**ches. stop white washing war crimes. colonizers, war criminals…”

On October 15, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “I have had Zio professors and I wouldn’t wish it on my enemies. S**t is frustrating af [as f**k] but I will still write about Palestine whether you like it or not.” 

Shehadeh’s tweet featured a screenshot from a video of Fatah Central Committee member Jibril Rajoub with subtitles that read: “You sons of b**ches, we will accept nothing less than a Palestinian state.”

On September 9, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “The IOF got bloods on their hands that could cover the wholeplanet.. take your Zionist stupiditysomewhere else.”

“IOF” stands for Israeli Occupation Forces, a derogatory name used by anti-Israel activists to demonize Israel’s army in place of its official name, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Demonizing Israel

As of December 2021, Shehadeh’s Twitter bio read: “... Remember, IOF [Israeli Occupying Forces] trains USA police”  invokingthe “Deadly Exchange” campaign by the anti-Israel organization Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP). 

In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange (DX)” campaign, which accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses. JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S.

On November 24, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Facebook censors the apartheid state and their atrocious behavior towards Palestinians… may both Facebook and the apartheid crumble.”

On November 23, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “F**king Vile colonizers, crossing continentsand claiming to have legitimacy in the Palestine and killing the indigenous population of the land aka Palestinians.”

On October 14, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “How does she stand before god 5 times a day (assuming that she does ) and willingly study at an apartheid? Fi nar ijhanam inshallah.”

Shehadeh's tweet was in reply to a tweet from Samooy Harib, an Arab student at the University of Haifa, who wrote: “Back to school? #Excited.”

On October 13, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “They really except to commit genocides against Palestinians and have the Palestinians kisstheir a** for it... lol the zios.”

On October 9, 2021, she tweeted: “The Israeli apartheid is a disease to the Middle East .. all the Arab Zionist puppet politicians are infected by it … these zionist puppets willingly cause disruption on their ‘homelands’ to defend the apartheid...”

On September 21, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Today on campus” with a video from an event hosted by the Students For Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at UIC (SJP UIC), that was titled, “Free all Palestinian Prisoners rally!” In the video that Shehadeh posted, activists chanted: [00:00:03] “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free!”

“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” is a chant calling to dismantle the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state.

In September 2021, Shehadeh was affiliated with the chapter at the University of Illinois Chicago (SJP UIC).

On August 30, 2021, after an attempted Palestinian terror attack where the assailant was killed, Shehadeh tweeted: “they are most likely selling their organs or doing experimental tests on them. fascism at its finest.”

Accusations against Israel stealing or harvesting organs have been rehashed over the years, echoing old anti-Semitic blood libels against Jews alleging they would abduct gentiles for sacrificial purposes, including using the blood of Christian children to bake matzah for the Jewish holiday of Passover.  

Hatred of America

On November 29, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “USA is the most imperialistic and colonial country in the world.whichever political spectrum it supports, it's definitely evil, especially now more than ever. May the Zionist colonial powers perish as well as their supporters.”

Shehadeh retweeted a November 13, 2021 tweet that read: “Israel has no history. Neither does the United States. Just criminal records.” 

On October 29, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Apple was not invented by ‘ Israel’ andIndustries in general could care less about the apartheid or any colonial project in the world… they care about money. Capitalism . But the main snake is the USA because it continuously also funds the apartheid out of people’s taxes.”

On October 13, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “... USA is Israeli apartheid sugar mommy.”

Shehadeh retweeted a September 12, 2021 tweet that read: “How many people in AmeriKKKa died of COVID on September 11, 2021?”

The term “Amerikkka” uses the initials of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a way to demonize America as “fascist or racist.”  

Hatred of Police

As of December 2021, Shehadeh’s Twitter bio read: “#ACAB.”

“ACAB” is an acronym that stands for “All cops are bastards.”

On July 31, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Basically…. Still ACAB.”

Also on July 31, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “... Even though I am a Palestinian I do not support this . ACAB .”

Demonizing Zionism

As of December 16, 2021, Shehadeh’s Twitter bio read: “... FREE PALESTINE FROM ZIONISM … ”

Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.

Shehadeh retweeted a December 1, 2021 tweet that read: “ZIONISM IS A SATANIC MOVEMENT … ”

On November 22, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Zionism is the KKK of Judaism, hopefully that was addressed.”

On November 18, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Zionism is the backbone of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and Palestine…” 

On November 16, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “The zios are crying about this.Guess what, I am gonna still keep doing it bi**ches :) and 25+ students will learn about the fascism of Zionism.”

On October 21, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “...Words absolutely have meaning : Zionism is terrorism.”

Supporting Yasmeen Mashayekh

In November 2021, Shehadeh tweeted multiple times in support of Mashayekh who was [00:11:08] in the middle of a national controversy over anti-Semitism she spread on social media that year.

In October 2021, Mashayekh was listed as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Senator for USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering (Viterbi). In May 2021, she tweeted: "I want to f**king kill every motherf**king Zionist.” She also tweeted: “yel3an el yahood [curse the Jews].” 

Mashayekh has also spread violent hatred of Israeli Jews, called for the destruction of Israel and America, expressed support for Hamas and glorified terrorists.

Mashayekh was condemned after Canary Mission exposed her anti-Semitic tweets. 

On November 25, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “… @USCViterbi you support this apartheid. You disgust me and every institution like you is complicit in war crimes. Apartheid protectors.”

Supporting BDS

As of December 16, 2021, Shehadeh’s Twitter bio read: “... #SupportBDS …”

On November 15, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “@justinbieber do not preform at the apartheid state aka ‘ Israel!!!’.” In the same thread, she tweeted: “@BDSmovement list him on your profile.”

On November 13, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “Boycott all colonial cultural appropriation food that funds the apartheid and the Israeli occupation force, who kill and jail Palestinians on a daily basis. Boycott Sabra!!!”

Sabra is partially owned by the Israeli company the Strauss Group.

On July 28, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted: “#BDSWorks follow @BDSmovement and boycott apartheid.”

On May 16, 2021, Shehadeh tweeted a thread of four tweets calling to boycott “Companies that support Israel,” and showed the logos of multiple companies.  

SJP

SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.

The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.

SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.

SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.

SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.

Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true. 

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”  

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
