Celebrating the Death of Israelis

On June 3, 2023, Alamas tweeted in support of three Israeli soldiers being murdered at the Israeli-Egyptian border.

Alamas wrote: “🇪🇬 مصر ام الدنيا [Egypt is the mother of the world].” She included a screenshot of a tweet that said: “Have a great day, brothers and sisters ☺️” in reference to an attached news article describing the killing of the soldiers by an Egyptian police officer at the Israeli-Egyptian border earlier that day.

Equating Israel With Nazi Germany

On May 23, 2021, during Israel’s Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW) against Hamas in Gaza, Alamas tweeted: “hitler 2.0.”

Alamas’s tweet was responding to a tweet by then Prime Minister of Israel’s Twitter account that featured a video of Binyamin Netanyahu that read: ‘Israel didn’t initiate this conflict. We were attacked in an unprovoked manner by the Hamas terrorist organization that fired 4000 rockets into our capital and into our cities. No country will sit aside when it’s attacked in such a criminal fashion. Israel is no different.”

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.

On May 14, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Twitter deleted my tweet where I said israel was a nazi regime😭😭😭😭😭.”

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.

Glorifying a Terrorist

On June 23, 2020, Alamas tweeted: “israel murdered another innocent Palestinian today. Ahmad Erekat Allah yirhamo [May Allah have mercy on him].”

Ahmad Erekat [Ahmad Moustafa Erekat; Ahmed Erakat] was killed by Israeli security forces after he accelerated and rammed his car into soldiers at a checkpoint. One female soldier was injured. The incident was captured on video.

Promoting Incitement

On May 21, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Hands off Al Aqsa!!!”

On May 21, 2021, clashes erupted outside of the Al-Aqsa compound after Palestinian worshippers threw rocks and petrol bombs at Israeli officers. Thousands of worshippers had gathered at the compound in solidarity with Gaza, following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

On May 10, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Jhanam inshallah [Please God they go to Hell].”

Alamas’s tweet included a video that purported to show Jews dancing and cheering while a tree burned near the Al-Aqsa mosque.

The fire was reportedly caused by Palestinian rioters shooting fireworks at Israeli police and was quickly extinguished with no damage to the mosque. However, social media users suggested that Jews were celebrating the destruction of the mosque, when the celebrants had in fact gathered in honor of Jerusalem Day, an Israeli national holiday.

Supporting Violence

On September 28, 2021, Alamas tweeted a photo of a masked Palestinian militant with a sling shot and wrote: “God bless the Palestinian people and their resistance🇵🇸.”

Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” can be a euphemism for nationalistic terror. It is often used to excuse or even glorify anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence.

On May 10, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Imagine being fully armed and wearing protective gear and scared of small rocks being thrown at you😭😭😭😭 I have to laugh!”

Although romanticized as a form of “popular resistance,” rock throwing remains a deadly form of violence

Hatred of Zionists

On May 21, 2021, following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas to end Hamas rocket fire that prompted Israel’s OGW,Alamas tweeted: “‘CEASEFIRE’ MY A**. THOSE ZION*ST PIGS WILL NEVER LEAVE US ALONE.”

On May 18, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Every person supporting isra*l is so ugly and I’m not even exaggerating.”

On May 16, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “They’re all ugly” in response to a video of pro-Israel demonstrators at a protest in Los Angeles.

On May 12, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “That’s why you look like the bottom of my shoe.”

Alamas was responding to a tweet by former U.S. Vice President, Mike Pence, that read: “America Stands with Israel. 🇺🇸🇮🇱.”

On May 10, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “I haven’t argued with a zion*st recently and that’s simply because they’re not worthy of my time🥰.”

On May 9, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “People that believe in a 2 state solution don’t deserve happiness.”

The two-state solution envisions a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by dividing the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea into an Israeli Jewish state and a Palestinian Arab state.

On July 27, 2019, Alamas tweeted: “I hope everyone has a great day except for gal gadot’s zionist a** :).”

Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress who starred as Wonder Woman.

Hatred of Israel

On May 17, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “isra*l used to give Ethiopian Jews shots so they can’t reproduce because they’re RACIST😭😭😭 why are they willingly doing this? Lmao [Laughing my a** off].”

The claim that the Israeli government forcibly sterilizes African Jewish women is based on a 2012 report, which alleged malpractice by healthcare workers who administered a temporary contraceptive to a group of Ethiopian Jewish women in the late 1990s without their proper consent. The allegations have since been adopted and actively promoted by anti-Israel advocates.

On May 14, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “🔥🔥🔥🔥.” Alamas’s tweet featured a photo of some graffiti that read: “F**K ISRAEL AND EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTS THEM…”

On May 12, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Today is the last day of Ramadan and I’m using up all my duaas [prayers] on the downfall of israhell inshallah [Please God].”

On May 10, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Shoutout to the Lebanese people (especially jnoubis [southerners]) that despise isra*l just as much as Palestinians do.”

On March 3, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “Just a reminder that that isra*l put this wall up to keep Palestinians stuck in the West Bank. So tell me again how this isn’t apartheid?”

Alamas’s tweet featured a photo of a section of Israel’s security barrier.

Israel’s security barrier, 97 percent of which is a low chain-link barrier, was built as a deterrent to Palestinian terror attacks. The concrete portions of the fence were built in response to Palestinian sniper attacks.

On July 27, 2020, Alamas tweeted: “I love the jnoub [south] so much for hating isr*el as much as Palestinians do.”

On September 1, 2019, Alamas tweeted: “Prayers out to Lebanon w Allah yil3an israel [May Allah curse Israel] tfoooooo [spit].”

Anti-Israel Activism

On May 7, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “All my LA [Los Angeles] mutuals please share!!”

Alamas’s tweet featured a flyer promoting an “LA RALLY & PROTEST. NAKBA 73: RESISTANCE UNTIL LIBERATION” scheduled for May 15, 2021

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

The rally was co-organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and Al-Awda - The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, as well as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP).

On May 15, 2021, the day of the rally, Alamas tweeted: “LA [Los Angeles] protest was amazing.”

Alamas’s tweet featured a video of Alamas wearing a keffiyeh, a traditional Middle Eastern headdress.

On May 15, 2021, Alamas also tweeted: “We shut LA [Los Angeles] down today.”

On May 16, 2021, Alamas tweeted: “People are so ignorant when they ask what a protest is gonna do for the Palestinians. I’ll slap you stfu [shut the f**k up].”

On September 8, 2019, Alamas tweeted: “Time to show up for the culture.” The tweet featured a flyer promoting a “Palestine Picnic Day” in Long Beach, California, co-organized by Al-Awda, PYM, the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) and other Palestinian organizations.

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a nonprofit organization reportedly set up to “provide urgent humanitarian care for Gaza’s children.” It has been financially linked with the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), which was shut down by the U.S. government for funneling donations to a terrorist organization.

Supporting BDS

Alamas retweeted a May 29, 2021 tweet by anti-Israel activist Dunia Ghanimah that read: “It’s called activism sweetie #BoycottBenAndJerrys #FreePalestine 🇵🇸.”

The tweet featured a video of a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream van with graffiti that said: “F**K BEN & JERRY’S. FREE PALESTINE.”

On July 19, 2021, ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s announced it would stop all product sales in “Occupied Palestinian Territory.” The BDS movement celebrated the decision, calling on the ice cream company to boycott the State of Israel in its entirety. However, company owner Unilever overrode the subsidiary’s decision after multiple US states decided to divest public funds from Unilever.

BDS

The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by Omar Barghouti in 2005 to challenge “international support for Israeli apartheid and settler-colonialism.” BDS is an allegedly “Palestinian-led movement,” although leading BDS activists have admitted [00:01:01] this is not true.

One of the demands of BDS includes [point 3] what is generally known as the “right of return,” a demand discredited as a way to eliminate Israel. Barghouti said the “right of return” is a means to “end Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.”

Barghouti has said that BDS “aims to turn Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.”

In his activism, Barghouti has also said [00:05:55] regarding Israel: “Definitely, most definitely, we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine. No…rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine.”

The movement has been linked to numerous terrorist organizations and received a public endorsement from Hamas in 2017.

BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.

The movement’s most notable achievement has been the infiltration of university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments and student groups, backed by their own anti-Israel members and affiliates, have proposed resolutions on some form of boycott of, or divestment from, Israel and Israeli-affiliated entities.

Boycott resolutions, although non-binding, have been passed by student governments on numerous North American campuses.

BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents on campus. On one campus, when the student government debated a BDS resolution, reports emerged of violent threats against those opposing it.
