Overview

Diana Awawdeh [Diana Anbar Awawdeh] has promoted intifada, spread hatred of Israel and expressed support for an anti-Israel agitator.

As of June 2020, Awawdeh’s LinkedIn page said she was a Photographer at Mashni Photography, from “May 2017 -- Present,” a Reporter for Youth Journalism International, from “Aug 2015 - Present.”

As of the same date, Awawdeh’s LinkedIn page said she was studying “Biology, Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies” at Felician University of New Jersey (Felician), from “2019 - 2021.”

Her LinkedIn page also said that she studied Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medicinal Studies,” majoring in Biology and Chemistry at Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC), from “2017-2019.”

As of October 2020, Awadeh used the name “Diana Mashni Awawdeh” on Twitter.

In high school, Awawdeh expressed support for a terrorist, as well as the terror group Hamas, promoted incitement and demonized Israel.

Promoting Intifada

On December 8, 2017, in opposition to the United States government’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Awawdeh tweeted: “Another Intifada is being announced for tomorrow December 8th 2017. It marks it again in history. #freepalestine #JerusalemIsTheCapitalOfPalestine #Intifada.”

Since the early 2000s, the term “intifada,” which translates from Arabic as “uprising” or “insurrection,” has carried the connotation of violence.  

On December 10, 2017, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed an Israeli at the entrance to the Jerusalem Central Bus Station. The attack was carried out in response to the U.S. government’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the decision to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. 

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On June 7, 2020, Awawdeh tweeted: “HypocritesPalestinians will always stand with BLM [Black Lives Matter] cause we are getting killed and arrested 24/7 by Israel#BlackLivesMattters #IsraeliCrimes #IsraelTerrorist #Israel #palestinian.”

Awawdeh’s tweet featured two graphics that depicted Israel shooting a Palestinian. The second graphic also featured a logo for “BLACK LIVES MATTER.”

On February 28, 2020, Awawdeh tweeted: “Ok, imma say it. The White House and everybody else doesn’t want Bernie Sanders as president now, because he doesn’t tolerate the corruption that has been going on in the White House all these years! Including the support for Israel!!!!!!! #BernieSanders #DemocraticDebate.”

On July 20, 2018, Awawdeh tweeted: “I never understood why #Zionists want to repeat history... Like why do they want to mimic what Hitler did to the Jews but to the Palestinians... #freepalestine #dontrepeathistory #NeverAgain #hitler #Netanyahu.”

On December 6, 2017, again in opposition to the U.S. government’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Awawdeh tweeted: “As it states it is the capital of Palestine and will always be... Either you accept it or not! Even though you like to be fake @realDonaldTrump which is fine cause everyone knows you are.. #FreePalestine #JerusalemEmbassy #JerusalemBelongsToPalestine.”

Awadeh’s tweet referred a provision regarding Jerusalem that appeared in The Palestine Basic Law drafted in 2002 as a proposed constitution for a future Palestinian state. Jerusalem has never been the capital city of any sovereign Arab entity.

Also onDecember 6, 2017, Awawdeh tweeted: “Sign the petition to keep Jerusalem the Capitol of Palestine… #Palestine #freepalestine #JerusalemEmbassy.”

Awawdeh’s tweet linked to a petition calling to “stop this declaration” of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and that “Jerusalem must remain the capital of Palestine.”

On August 29, 2017, Awawdeh tweeted: “I know sadly... and like said anything ugly is Zionist.”

Supporting an Anti-Israel Agitator

Awawdeh retweeted a December 25, 2017 tweet, that read: “The child prisoner #AhedTamimi today in the Israeli occupation court session today. Free #AhedTamimi.”

High School Support for a Terrorist

On October 4, 2015, Awawdeh tweeted in defense of Fadi Aloon, writing: “Seeing What exactly happened to him... I was just disgusted of what the Israeli Zionists were saying and how they were acting.. #FadiAlloun.”

Fadi Aloon was shot by Israeli security forces after he stabbed a 15-year-old Israeli boy. Several hours before the attack, Aloon posted “Either martyrdom or victory” on his Facebook page. 

High School Support for Hamas

On October 11, 2015, Awawdeh tweeted in support of the Hamas terror organization, writing: “We will be waiting for you Hamas. Fight Back! #freepalestine #GazaUnderAttack #Hamas.”



On September 11, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted against Yasser Arafat and in favor of Hamas, writing: “... inshallah hamas will take his place and Ismail hanniyah will be the president of Palestine.” Ismail Haniyeh is a leader of Hamas. 

On July 27, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE) against Hamas in Gaza, Awawdeh tweeted: “AllahuAkbar [God is Great]!!!Hamas is fighting the strongest counrty but Wallahy Hamas is stronger!!! I Promise you that and we will show ya ISRAEL!!!!!!!”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.

On July 26, 2014, also during OPE, Awawdeh tweeted: “15K Chicago Today!! #hamas #freepalestine #godprotectus #loveyouguys #GazaUnderAttack #15KMarch.”

On July 22, 2014, during OPE and the same day that Palestinian’s fired rockets at metropolitan Tel Aviv from Hamas-controlled Gaza, Awawdeh tweeted: “Allah Ikweechim Ya Hamas! Ya Hamas Ya Habib Othroub Tel Aviv [ ...Oh Hamas Oh hamas stike Tel-Aviv] !!!!!! Free Palestine! #freepalestine #hamas #gazaunderattack #lovehamas.”

That same day, during OPE, Awawdeh tweeted: “28 israeli soldiers killed!! #allahikweechimyahamas #hamas #israelterrriost #freepalestine #gazaunderattack #idf #28.”

On July 20, 2014, during OPE, Awawdeh tweeted: “Hamas asks Facebook and Twitter users to help distort the truth [sic] about what's really happening in Gaza. Lets Show Them! #freepalestine #gaza.”

Again on July 20, 2014, during Israel’s OPE, Awawdeh tweeted the “dog tag” number of missing Israeli soldier, Oron Shaul, writing : “Palestinians New Favorite Number 6092065 #freepalestine #jihad #hamas #freepalestine #IsraelTerroist.”

Shaul was caught in a deadly ambush in Shejaiya, Gaza, by Hamas terrorists during Operation Protective Edge (OPE). Hamas celebrated the capture of Shaul and even produced a song. The IDF later determined that Shaul was dead and that his body was held by Hamas. 

Also on July 20, 2014, Awawdeh also tweeted: “Palestinians celebrate report that Hamas captured Israeli soldier http://mondoweiss.net/2014/07/palestinians-celebrate-captured.html… #alhamdallah #israelterriost #gaza #freepalestine.”

That same day, Awawdeh tweeted: “Hamas: 11 Israeli soldiers killed in 24 hours http://ara.tv/br52z via @AlArabiya_Eng Inshallah Many More Ya Rab!!! #hamas #freepalestine.”

On July 14, 2014, again during OPE, Awawdeh tweeted: “inshallah [Please God]i will be making a video for gaza and hamas... i will post it when i am done with it and it will be on Youtube I'll post the link!”

High School Promoting Incitement

On October 31, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “#HandsOffAlAqsa #FreeAlAqsa #FreePalestine #israeldevils.” 

Awawdeh’s tweet featured a graphic with a photo of the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem, with a caption that read: “HANDS OFF AL AQSA!.”

On October 13, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “AlAqsa is being violated and the Muslims are standing idly by…” 

In the fall of 2014, Palestinian leaders and media incited a wave of violence against Israelis with the lie that Israel intended to desecrate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. This resulted in the November 18, 2014 Har Nof massacre, in which terrorists murdered six people in a Jerusalem synagogue during morning prayers.

High School Demonization of Israel

On November 1, 2015, during the “Knife Intifada,” Awawdeh tweeted: “Here is a little summary of what's happening in the West Bank In Palestine.. #FreePalestine.”

The tweet featured a cartoon graphic that depicted an Israeli soldier planting knives next to dead Palestinian bodies. The graphic included a caption that read: “SHOOT… ADD A KNIFE TAKE A PHOTO.”

Fall 2015 saw an upsurge in violence across Israel incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The wave of stabbings — known as the “Knife Intifada” — saw young Palestinians throughout the country stabbing and attempting to stab Israeli civilians. Many Palestinians were shot in the midst of their attempt to stab Israeli civilians and security personnel.

On October 14, 2015, Awawdeh tweeted: “Why do they treat us the way hitler treated them? #Zionists #FreePalestine #FreePalestineFromIsrael.”

On September 24, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted a meme with a quote attributed to British Member of Parliament, George Galloway and repeated the quote, writing: “‘Israel is a cancer at the heart of the Middle East’ #cancer #israel #israhell #palestine #FreePalestine #Palestinian.”

On September 18, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “#nazism #Zionism #israelterriost #dogsofopression.” The tweet featured a graphic that equated Israeli soldiers with Nazi soldiers during WW2. The caption on the graphic read: “Zionism = Nazism, The dogs of oppression, Never again must mean never again!”

On September 3, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “In the dictionary of humanity Israel means terrorist. Killer. Heartless. #Zionist #NaziJews #killer #heartless #FreePalestine #AJOpinion. #aj.”

On September 2, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “Palestinians Are For Israel What The Jews Were for The Nazis http://youtube.com/watch?v=iAjgPVRjE1c&sns=tw… via @youtube just take at least 5 mins to wake up!!”

On August 31, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted:”#israel has similar policies to them don't they?? Current affairs has prove of this!! #hitler #nazis #zionists.” Awawdeh’s tweet featured a graphic of the Israeli flag being torn down the middle to reveal a nazi flag, bearing a Swastika behind it. 

On July 24, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “#Israel has discovered that it's no longer so easy to get away with murder in the age of #socialmedia. #prayforgaza #PalestineWillBeFree.”

On July 23, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “Remeber Their Zionist Not Humans!!! #Zionism #GazaUnderAttack #humanshelphumans #israelterriost #palestinewillbefree #freepalestine.”

On July 20, 2014, Awawdeh tweeted: “The End Of Israel Is Coming and Palestine Will Soon Be Free Inshallah! #freepalestine #hamas #allahmachim #prayforgaza #gazaunderfire.”
