Waseem shared an Instagram Stories post that read: "Our opinions on Palestinian resistance tactics are not influential...They will resist however they resist..."
Among Palestinians and anti-Israel activists, the term “resistance” is a euphemism for nationalistic terror and is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and antisemitic violence.
On October 7, 2023, Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, kidnapped hundreds and wounded thousands. War crimes included mass rape and torture. Many Palestinian civilians participated in and supported the attacks, and Gazans working in the targeted Israeli communities gave intelligence to Hamas on where to strike.
For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
Waseem shared another Instagram Stories post that praised the Houthis for "firing [missiles] at commercial ships," as an attempt to stop Israel's "genocide" in Gaza.
Following the outbreak of Israel’s 2023 war against Hamas, Houthi terrorists attacked commercial ships off Yemen’s Red Sea coast and launched missiles into southern Israel. Like Hamas, the Houthi movement is backed by Iran, and is designated as a terror group by the United States, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The Houthi slogan reads: “God is the Greatest / Death to America / Death to Israel / A Curse Upon the Jews / Victory to Islam.”
Waseem spread antisemitism in a 2024 Instagram Stories post, according to a tip submitted to Canary Mission in July 2025.
Waseem's Instagram Stories post featured an image of soldiers shooting inside a walled area, alluding to Gaza. The wall displayed an image of a Nazi swastika inscribed into the Star of David, a Jewish symbol.
The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 countries have adopted the definition as well.
Waseem spread antisemitic conspiracy theories in 2024 Instagram Stories posts, according to a tip submitted to Canary Mission in July 2025.
Waseem shared an Instagram Stories post, in which she wrote: "...America is not free, its truly run by Israel and Zionists. Canada starting to show the same."
The assertion that Jews secretly control the Western governments through banking and finance is traced to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a fabricated anti-Semitic text that portrays wealthy Jews as conspiring to take over the world. This anti-Semitic conspiracy theory has often employed the imagery from Nazi cartoons that depict Jews as octopuses encircling the globe.
Waseem shared another Instagram Stories post which read: "...Israel has a history of stealing organs from the bodies of dead Palestinians."
Accusations against Israel stealing or harvesting organs have been revived over the years, echoing old anti-Semitic blood libels against Jews.
As of October 2025, Waseem's Instagram username said: "Dalal Atta Waseem 🍉."
The watermelon has been appropriated by terrorists and anti-Israel activists as a symbol of Palestinian "resistance" to "Israeli occupation," as it shares the Pan-Arab colors. It gained widespread popularity and usage following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, 2023.
Waseem spread hatred of Israel and Zionists in 2024 Instagram Stories posts, according to a tip submitted to Canary Mission in July 2025.
Waseem shared an Instagram post, in which she wrote: "...supporting Israel and its genocide is evil...Anyone who supports Israel...is evil and shouldn't be allowed to hide behind their screens and hate."
Waseem shared another Instagram post, in which she wrote that Zionists were "cheering" on the "death and suffering" of Palestinians.
Waseem shared an Instagram Stories post that read: "...Israel loves to murder people. Israel is a TERRORIST STATE and their allies are terrorist and terrorist sympathizers."
Waseem shared another Instagram Stories post that read: "...Israel = colonizer, bad guy..."
Waseem shared an Instagram post by the anti-Israel group Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) that read: "THIS IS ZIONISM," while a photo of fire and destruction was featured in the background.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
