Christina Valles
Christina Valles [Christina Nicole Valles] was arrested at a pro-Hamas encampment at Arizona State University (ASU) during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists. She also spread hatred of Israel in 2024. Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks.
Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day. For more information, see the Canary Mission page on Hamas.
On April 27, 2024, Christina Valles was arrested for third-degree criminal trespass at the ASU encampment.
The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of March 2025, Christina Valles's Instagram bio said she was an artist.
In April 2024, Christina Valles was listed as a painter and writer located in Phoenix, Arizona.
As of the same date, Christina Valles was listed as a member of the anti-Israel activist group Artists 4 Liberation.
ASU is located in Tempe, Arizona.
On April 26, 2024, anti-Israel activists and ASU students set up a pro-terror encampment to protest Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. Activists called the encampment, which was located outside the school’s Old Main building, the “ASU Liberated Zone.”
On April 27, 2024, following two separate warnings to clear out the encampment, Tempe, Arizona, city police and Arizona state troopers entered the campus and arrested approximately 70 people.
Law enforcement officers threw away tents that protesters had pitched. One Jewish student reported receiving death threats for helping the police dismantle the encampment.
The arrestees were subsequently charged with criminal trespass and burglary.
At the encampment, activists joined in the pro-terror chant: “When people are occupied, resistance is justified!”
Activists also chanted: “From the River to the Sea! Palestine will be free!” The chant is used to call for the elimination of Israel.
Other chants included support for BDS: “Disclose! Divest! We will not stop, we will not rest!”
On December 3, 2024, Valles posted a photo on Instagram captioned: "FREE THE ASU 68..." The words on the photo read: "FREE / the / ASU 68 / CHARGED FOR / SPEAKING OUT / AGAINST / GENOCIDE," and included an image of an inverted red triangle with the word "RESIST" next to it.
The inverted red triangle is a symbol showing support for Hamas and Palestinian terrorism. It was first used by Hamas during the October 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks to signify an Israeli target.
Anti-Israel activists use the term “resistance” to refer to violence and terror perpetrated against Israeli civilians and their allies. It is used to glorify and encourage anti-Israel and anti-Semitic violence. Anti-Israel activists chant slogans such as: “Resistance by any means necessary!” and “Resistance is justified when people are occupied!” in response to terror attacks.
On January 26, 2024, Valles posted a series of photos on Instagram of an anti-Israel rally. The post was captioned: "keep showing up. keep using your voice. free Palestine . " The post included a photo of a sign that said [slide 6]: "NO 'BOTH SIDES' / IN GENOCIDE / END ALL U.S. AID TO / APARTHEID ISRAEL."
On February 13, 2024, Valles posted a series of photos on Instagram of an anti-Israel protest. The post included a photo of protestors holding a banner that said [slide 2]: "RESPECT / EXISTANCE OR / EXPECT / RESISTANCE."
On May 17, 2024, Valles posted on Instagram: "'In order for nonviolence to work - your opponent must have a conscience. The United States has none.' - Kwame Ture / power 2 the resistance / love 2 the resistance / victory 2 the resistance..." The post included photos from an anti-Israel protest.
There were over 140 pro-Hamas and anti-Israel college encampments set up in North America, and over 20 more globally, in the spring of 2024. The first began on April 17, 2024, at Columbia University. The encampments were unofficially known as the “student intifada,” borrowing a term associated with terrorist violence.
Protesters harassed Jewish students, blocked Jews from campus facilities and shouted anti-Semitic slogans. They occupied campus grounds, in many cases illegally, caused property damage, violently took over buildings, celebrated terrorism and promoted the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Activists set up encampments to oppose Israel’s right to wage war against the Hamas terror group following October 7, 2023, when Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 people, including 32 American and 8 Canadian citizens. Hamas also kidnapped 252 people, including 11 Americans and the bodies of 2 murdered Canadians.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
