Christian Bischoff

Christian Bischoff was arrested at the anti-Israel encampment at Princeton University (Princeton) in April 2024. He also promoted hatred of Israel at a press conference following her release after the arrest.

The profilee's activism occurred during Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, which Israel launched after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks when Hamas murdered nearly 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds.

The student group Princeton Israeli Apartheid Divest (PIAD) was a co-organizer of the encampment, which ran for three weeks. Activists demanded that Princeton divest from companies doing business in Israel.

The encampment was part of a national movement on college campuses in 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas. The encampments were also in support of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.

On April 30, 2024, PIAD said that Christian Bischoff was arrested for defiant trespass when Bischoff and 12 others occupied Princeton’s Clio Hall. According to the arrestees, criminal charges were filed.

On July 7, 2025, in exchange for community service and a letter of apology, the judge dismissed the charges with prejudice and ordered automatic expungement of Bischoff’s arrest record.

As of December 2025, Christian Bischoff was listed as a PhD candidate in the Department of English and the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities (IHUM) at Princeton University (Princeton). Princeton is located in Princeton, New Jersey.
