Overview

Bilal Alkahalah has spread anti-Semitism, expressed support for the Hamas terror group and showed support for terrorism. Alkahalah has also spread incitement and hatred of Israel.

As of September 2022, Alkahalah’s LinkedIn profile said he had been an Automation Engineer at Tamaki Control Ltd. in Saint Johns, Michigan, since November 2019.

As of the same date, Alkahalah’s LinkedIn said he graduated from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor (UM Ann Arbor) with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019. His LinkedIn said he began his studies in Mechanical Engineering at Washtenaw Community College, which he attended from 2014 to 2015.

As of December 2021, Alkahalah’s LinkedIn said he was located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On March 18, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “lmao [laughing my a** off]...... I see u killin those yahood [Jews] #FreePalestine.”

On June 10, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted about then-Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt: “I hope all u Cleveland fans know that ur coach is an Israeli yahoodi [Jew].”

On August 10, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “Too many Jews in this airport #Detroit.”

Supporting Hamas

On March 1, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “Hamas is NOT a terrorist organization... It is an Islamic organization....It's only objective is to #FreePalestine from the Zionist Jews…”

Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., Canada, European Union, Israel and other countries. Founded in 1987, it has killed thousands of Israeli civilians through mass shootings and suicide bombings. Hamas has also kidnapped children, families and the elderly and held them hostage in Gaza. It has desecrated [slide 2] dead bodies and launched numerous rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

On March 13, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “Hamas is a resistance organization..... They are resisting the Zionists that r currently illegally occupyingPalestinian land.”

Also on March 13, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “I've been trying to defend Hamas and Palestine through this #AskHamas thing they got going.....”

On March 14, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “resistance tunnels*” in response to a tweet asking Hamas: “why are you building terror tunnels instead of housing in Gaza.”

Hamas terror tunnels are intended for mass murders and hostage-taking scenarios against Israeli civiliansand soldiers. They stretch from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

Supporting Terrorism

On October 13, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “There is an occupation.... It's not terror.. It's resistance.” He was responding to a tweet that said: "These are not ‘lone wolf’ attacks. The Hamas leadership is openly inciting and applauding these actions. It's organized terror…”

In October 2015, there was an upsurge in violence across Israel incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The wave of stabbings, known as the “Knife Intifada,” was characterized by young Palestinians throughout the country stabbing and attempting to stab Israeli civilians.

Spreading Incitement

Alkahalah retweeted a May 21, 2021 tweet that said: “#AlAqsaUnderAttack Israel is back at it again, this needs to stop. #FreePalestine.” The tweet included another tweet in Arabic that said: “من اقتحام قوات الاحتلال بأعداد كبيرة لباحات الأقصى واعتداءاتها على المصلين والمرابطين فيه [Large numbers of the occupation forces are storming the courtyards of Al-Aqsa; attacks on the worshipers and the protectors].”

On May 21, 2021, clashes erupted outside of the Al-Aqsa compound after Palestinian worshippers threw rocks and petrol bombs at Israeli officers. Thousands of worshippers had gathered at the compound in solidarity with Gaza, following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Alkahalah retweeted a May 16, 2021 tweet that said: “You literally attacked al-Aqsa in Ramadan and bombed Gaza on Eid. Don't play this card now.” The tweet referred to a tweet that included a video showing a direct rocket attack on a home in Israel during the Sabbath meal.

In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.

Alkahalah retweeted a May 8, 2021 tweet that said: “Absolutely horrendous scenes from inside Al-Aqsa Mosque compound where Israeli forces attacked peaceful worshippers holding night prayers.”

On May 7-10, 2021, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian worshippers and Israeli police at the Al-Aqsa compound, following claims that Al-Aqsa Mosque was in danger. The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy Al-Aqsa has been a traditional pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state.

On July 27, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “We talked about churches.. We talked about synagogues.. How about mosques!?!?!.Israeli terrorists attacked and damaged masjid Alaqsa today.”

On July 26, 2015, Palestinians attacked Israeli police on the Temple Mount with rocks, Molotov cocktails and firecrackers. The Palestinians had reportedly stockpiled homemade explosives, firecrackers and wooden boards inside the mosque, with the intention of attacking Jewish worshipers.

Also on July 27, 2015, Alkahalah replied to his own tweet: “#FreePalestine #AlAqsaUnderAttack.”

Hatred of Israel

On March 22, 2016, Alkahalah tweeted: “Oh yeah...f**ck @isreal and @tedcruz.”

On March 22, 2016, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz gave a speech in support of Israel at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference.

On May 22, 2015, Alkahalah accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” in a tweet.

On March 21, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “End the occupation...... that means we want our land and we want all of it....Israel does not exist.... #FreePalestine.”

On March 13, 2015, Alkahalah tweeted: “... ‘Israel’ is more fake than that goat I own…”

On July 11, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Alkahalah tweeted: “... wat is happening in gaza is murder.”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
