Spreading Anti-Semitism
On August 7, 2020, Alarab defended her friend Lina Hammad who was being criticized on Twitter for stating: “people actually believe israel has nothing to do with what happened in Lebanon.... that has israel written all over it. yin3an al yahood and tfu [God curse the Jews-spit on you ] if you support them.”Alarab tweeted: “there’s nothing anti-Semitic about what she said, only anti- Zionist. learn the difference and f**k off...klo khara w yil3an al yahud [eat s**t and let God curse the Jews] 😌.”
That same day, when a Jewish Twitter user tweeted that non-Jews should “stop telling jews what's antisemitism,” Alarab responded: “stop confusing anti- semitism and anti- zionism challenge.”
On August 1, 2019, Alarab tweeted: “3ndi waja3 ras laysh bro yin3an il yahud bro [Hi, I have a headache, Why bro? Curse the Jews bro].”
Promoting Hatred of Israel
On June 18, 2020, Alarab tweeted: “why can’t I record a voice message I need y’all to HEAR me say f**k Israel.”Also on June 18, 2020, Alarab tweeted a meme on a man waving a Palestinain flag and text that read: “Tried to sell Israel on Stock X but it wasn’t legit.” StockX is a website for buying and selling authentic name brand sneakers.
On June 3, 2020, Alarab tweeted: “the Israeli government forcibly injects African Jewish women with birth control to sterilize them …”
The claim that the Israeli government forcibly sterilizes African Jewish women is based on a 2012 report of alleged malpractice by healthcare workers who administered Depo-Provera, a contraceptive effective for three months, to an indeterminate number of Ethiopian Jewish women in Ethiopian transit camps in the late 1990s, while they were waiting to emigrate to Israel. The report, based on the solicited testimony of 35 women, raised doubts as to whether they gave their informed consent before being given the drug.
The allegations of temporary sterilization without proper consent have been adopted by reporters and social commentators with varying agendas and actively promoted by anti-Israel advocates, who have recycled and inflated the claim.
Alarab’s June 3, 2020 tweet continued: “AND the Israeli military provides US cops with training tactics and defense mechanisms for them to use on the job. the lack of self cognizance in this post is indescribable.”
In 2017, JVP launched the “Deadly Exchange” campaign that accused American Jewish organizations of promoting human rights abuses.
JVP also released a video that blamed [00:04:04] U.S.-based Jewish organizations for violence that occurs against Black and Brown communities, immigrants and activists in the U.S."
The video accused mainstream Jewish organizations in the United States of coordinating exchange programs between American and Israeli security personnel, to advance “worst practices” and “racist policies.”
The campaign page claimed that these “policies” included: “extrajudicial executions, shoot-to-kill policies, police murders, racial profiling, massive spying and surveillance, deportation and detention.”
Alarab’s tweet included another tweet publicizing Israeli-based protests for the Black Lives Matter movement.
On May 28, 2020, Alarab tweeted: “oh bc I thought the b**ch who thinks Israel is a country said sum [something].”

On February 7, 2020, Alarab tweeted: “if I was a zionist, I would simply kill myself.”
On June 18, 2020, Alarab shared a snippet about ice cream brand Ben and Jerry’s and tweeted: “when they value their brand and monetary earnings over the fact that they’re funding murderers and helping kill innocent people 😍😍😍😍.”
Ben and Jerry’s has a factory in the southern Israeli town of Kiryat Malachi and sells ice cream to the Israeli supermarket chain, Shufersal. As of 2012, Shufersal had 248 stores and was the largest supermarket chain in Israel.
On June 18, 2020, Alarab discussed ice cream company Ben and Jerry’s and tweeted that “as a company, they support Israel by funding Shufersal supermarkets in illegal Israeli settlements.”
Alarab then stated that “according to the UN, these supermarkets are one of the 112 companies that are profiting off of Israel’s illegal activity and violations of human rights in their settlements.”
Alarab concluded by asking: “so what I would like to understand is how Ben and Jerry’s speaks out and shows their support toward human and civil rights, but they fund and are also in support of an entire genocide of the Palestinian people????”
On March 11, 2018, Alarab shared a tweet from an Israeli girl and tweeted: “her tongue just as ugly as the thought of Israel actually existing🤧.”
