Spreading Incitement
On May 12, 2021, Zegar shared a video on Facebook by anti-Israel agitators, Ustadh Abdelrahman Murphy and Sheikh Abdul Nasir Jangda. In the video, Murphy said [00:08:51]: “You think of the Muslims there [in Sheikh Jarrah] that literally are living their lives in the holy city…And you have these tyrannical, horrific, monstruous individuals that…come at any moment’s notice with the support of this state-sponsored terrorism and coming now to remove people from their homes…”Zegar wrote about this video: “Amazing talk on the situation in Palestine by some of the greats…”
On May 18, 2021, Zegar tweeted: “Let us remind them what happened when Abraha [Abreha] and his army tried to destroy a house of Allah [God]. May Allah send those same birds on to the occupiers of our Holy Land. May He liberate Palestine and Masjid [Mosque] Al Aqsa the same way [the city of] Mecca and the [mosque] Kabah were liberated…”
The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.
On November 5, 2014, Zegar tweeted: “They're trying to destroy Masjid Al-Aqsa & ban the Athan [call for prayer]. They forgot we have Allah on our side. Ya Allah remove the pigs from our Masjid.”
In the fall of 2014, Palestinian leaders and media incited a wave of violence against Israelis with the lie that Israel intended to desecrate the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. This resulted in the November 18, 2014 Har Nof massacre, in which terrorists murdered six people in a Jerusalem synagogue during morning prayers.
Hatred of Zionists
On May 25, 2021, Zegar tweeted: “...Zionists are not Jews (they’re a disgrace to Judaism)...”On May 8, 2021, Zegar shared on Facebook a post that said: “There is an occupier and the occupied. The transgressor and the oppressed. The settler colonizer and the indigenous…For the Zionist, it doesn’t matter if the Palestinian is peaceful. If the Palestinian exists, they are inherently a threat to the survival of an apartheid state…”
Demonizing Israel
On May 25, 2021, Zegar tweeted: “If America decided to only provide a specific race w/ [with] the COVID vaccine would you step in @WHO [World Health Organization]? Would the @UN [United Nations] call it vaccine apartheid? Why did Israel get away with stopping Palestinians from getting vaccines?...”On May 16, 2021, Zegar tweeted: “Today the [U.S.] president [Joe Biden] spoke with [Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and reaffirmed his STRONG SUPPORT for genocide, apartheid, the murder of innocent children, bombing the press, cutting off electricity from a population…”
On September 16, 2020, Zegar tweeted: “Truly couldn’t put into words my disgust today watching the Arab world sign ‘peace agreements’ normalizing apartheid & systemic torture of Palestinians.”
On August 13, 2020, the United States, Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) agreed to a joint statement referred to as the “Abraham Accords” in which the UAE consented to formally normalize its relationship with Israel.
Demonizing Zionism
Zegar retweeted a December 18, 2016 tweet that read: “Zionist feminism: equal opportunity to murder, occupy, plunder and destroy.”Zegar’s tweet was in response to another tweet from Haaretz.com that said: “Number of female soldiers in IDF [Israel Defense Forces] combat units doubles over four years…”
On March 20, 2019, Zegar tweeted: “...ZIONISM is the very definition of ANTI-SEMITISM.”
Zionism is the belief that Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.
Zegar retweeted a May 12, 2021 tweet that read: “There are no opinions in this matter.
Zionism is racism. Israel is a settler colonial state. Israel is an apartheid state. These are facts, not opinions.”
The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) highlights as one possible contemporary example of anti-Semitism: “Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.” The U.S. State Department adopted the IHRA’s working definition of anti-Semitism in 2016. Over 40 other countries have adopted the definition as well.

Endorsing Anti-Israel Agitators
On May 14, 2021, Zegar posted to Facebook a video by American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) Chicago activist Deanna Othman, who accused [00:01:02] Israel of“bombing, murdering, dispossessing, uprooting and lying…” and claimed that the [00:01:46] “twisted mental gymnastics of the Zionist PR [public relations] machine” caused all Palestinians to be labeled as “terrorists.”Zegar retweeted a May 13, 2021 tweet that said: “...I love you @RashidaTlaib. You are our Palestinian great great great grandmother’s wildest dream manifested.”
Rashida Tlaib was elected to the U.S. Congress in November 2018. She has advocated for a one-state solution, endorsed the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement and called for reduced foreign aid to Israel. In July 2019, Tlaib co-sponsored a pro-BDS bill in the U.S. Congress introduced by Rep. Ilhan Omar.
On May 12, 2021, Zegar shared on Facebook a video by professor and imam Yasir Qadhi, in which he suggested that the Arab countries making peace with Israel were devilishly evil and said [00:00:34]: “Anybody who sides with an apartheid regime at this point in time is against our Palestinian brothers and sisters… how can we not cut off ties…”
ICNA High School Activism
On September 20, 2014, Zegar tweeted: “Can @muftimenk & @noumanbayyinah PLEASE come to the @MAS_ICNA_CONV [Convention] this year?!”
SJP
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Students Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
MSA
The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."
The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.
The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
