Amal Khoury

Overview

Amal Khoury is a university employee who spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel during Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists in late 2023.

Khoury wrote her remarks online after a series of Hamas terror atrocities and war crimes against Israeli civilians, including mass murder, torture, rape, beheadings and kidnappings, which were executed on October 7, 2023.

The Hamas terror attacks left over 1,200 Israelis dead, hundreds kidnapped and thousands wounded. Israel retaliated with a war called “Swords of Iron.”

Spreading Anti-Semitism During Israel’s War Against Hamas

On November 21, 2023, Khoury wrote: “...And why do the Jews get their own Jewish state! That is a bit hmmm.”

On November 8, 2023, Khoury posted on Facebook: “Let’s find out where the current population of Israel is really from…here’s a clue, not the Middle East.” Khoury included an Instagram video of a speaker talking about Israelis, saying: “you come from Poland, you come from Ukraine, you came from Europe, you came from everywhere else...”

One way that anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to claim [00:06:46] that Israeli Jews, particularly Ashkenazi Jews, do not descend from the ancient Israelites.

Hatred of Israel

On November 28, 2023, Khoury shared a Facebook post with an image showing a lion draped in a Palestinian flag, standing in front of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem while holding in its mouth a rat wrapped in an Israeli flag. Comparing Jews to rats was a technique of Nazi propagandists.

The allegation that Jews “threaten” to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a pretext for Arab attacks on Jews long before the existence of the modern Jewish state. Such propaganda has led to multiple periods of violence against Israeli civilians.

On November 1, 2023, Khoury posted on Facebook: “...Israel is claiming to be targeting Hamas hiding out in underground tunnels, Gaza is a small strip of land at sea level… how far down did they dig these tunnels housing 10,000 people when we don’t even have basements in Florida? I’m no engineer so help me understand how it would be possible to create these tunnels? / Open your eyes, this is genoside.#FreePalestine.”

Biographical Information

As of January 8, 2023, Khoury’s Facebook About page said she had worked at Lynn University (Lynn) since August 2020. Lynn is located in Boca Raton, Florida.

On August 21, 2020, Khoury posted on Facebook about her new job at Lynn: “Thanks everyone, as you all know, school is my happy place. I landed a job as a classroom proctor during this new Covid era. I would hope to eventually land a faculty position, which is my long term goal. Small opportunities taken lead to bigger ones! / Thank you for all of your encouragement and support!!! / #drkhoury #PhD.”

In February 2022, Khoury was listed online as a “Certified & Insured” private instructor at the Palm Aire Yoga studio in Pompano Beach, Florida. In March 2023, she posted on Instagram that she offers “Private Yoga Sessions & Vedic Bodywork.”

As of January 8, 2024, Khoury was listed online as the president of Amal Khoury, Inc., company number P21000026939, with a registered address in Pompano Beach, Florida.
