Alex McNabb

Overview

Alex McNabb has spread racism and attended the “Unite the Right” white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, VA in August 2017. McNabb was reportedly fired from his job as an Emergency Medical Technician in southwestern Virginia in March 2019, following the revelation of racist comments he made online.

As of December 2019, McNabb was a co-host of the white supremacist podcast, The Daily Shoah (TDS). Shoah is the Hebrew term for the Holocaust.

In 2017, TDS reportedly had around 100,000 listeners per week. TDS is part of the alt-right media network The Right Stuff

During episodes of TDS, McNabb reportedly used the alias “Dr. Narcan.”

Spreading Racism

On October 4, 2016, during a “Dr. Narcan” segment of an episode of TDS, McNabb reportedly “recounted dealing with an ‘unruly young African-American male child running around’ an emergency room.”

McNabb said [01:14:41]: “As it turned out, this young African-American male was there to get blood drawn, so guess who volunteered to take his blood? Doctor Narcan enjoyed great, immense satisfaction as he terrorized this youngster with a needle and stabbed him thusly in the arm with a large-gauge IV catheter.”

On November 8, 2016, during an episode of TDS, McNabb said[02:51:04]: “The heat brings out the wild in the dindu, as winter approaches, the animals go into hibernation and the ridiculousness of the [911] calls goes down.”

“Dindu” or “Dindu Nuffin” is a racial slur used against American black people.

On March 11, 2019, in reference to McNabb’s comment during the October 4, 2016 episode, medical experts told the Huffington Post “that large-gauge needles should never be used on young children.”

In the same Huffington Post article, McNabb reportedly said during a TDS episode: “It’s hard to find a dindu vein anyway, because they’re black.”

In the same episode, McNabb described [01:07:42] a black woman as a “Dinduisha,” and then compared [01:07:59] the woman to a shaved “Harambe,” in reference to the famous gorilla.

“Unite the Right” Rally

On May 17, 2019, McNabb featured in a photo posted in an article, marching with activists at the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville.

The “Unite the Right” rally took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 12, 2017, with many far-right groups participating such as the National Socialist Movement (NSM) and League of the South (LS). White nationalist leader Richard Spencer organized the rally to protest the planned removal of a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee. Violence erupted at the rally, with one counterprotester killed and at least 33 others injured.
