Overview
Alaa Albaddani has spread hatred of Israelis, promoted an anti-Israel conspiracy theory and demonized Israel.As of November 2021, Albaddani’s LinkedIn page said she was studying for a bachelor's degree at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), slated to graduate in 2023, and that she graduated from Cypress College in 2021.
Albaddani’s LinkedIn also said she was a cashier at Ross Stores since November 2020 and a cashier at Harvest Fresh Market since May 2019.
As of November 2021, Albaddani used the alias “callmealaa” on Twitter.
Hatred of Israelis
On May 11, 2021, Albaddani tweeted: “Uffff allah has plans for yall, I just know it.” Albaddani’s tweet was in response to another tweet showing Jews dancing at the Western Wall, with a tree ablaze in the background.In May 2021, social media erupted with videos allegedly showing Jews dancing and cheering while a tree burned near the Al-Aqsa mosque. The fire was reportedly caused by Palestinian rioters shooting fireworks at Israeli police. Jews had gathered at the Western Wall in honor of Jerusalem Day, an Israeli national holiday, with no connection to the incident.
On June 20, 2020, Albaddani tweeted: “Meanwhile Israelis are killing innocent Palestinians and making tiktoks in hopes of taking the attention away from who they truly are. KILLERS**.”
Albaddani’s tweet was responding to a tweet that featured a video of dancing Israeli girls.
Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theory
Albaddani retweeted an August 4, 2020 tweet that read: “Idc [I don’t care] what anyone says this was Israel’s doing!!! La hawla wala qooita ila billah [there is no force and power but with God]The tweet was responding to a tweet about an explosion that day in Beirut.
On August 4, 2020, an explosion at a port in Beirut, Lebanon killed over 150 people and injured thousands. Lebanese officials explained that the cause of the explosion was ammonium nitrate stored at a warehouse.
Demonizing Israel
Albaddani retweeted a June 2, 2021 tweet that read: “Let’s call it like it is- ISR*EL IS A RACIST STATE THAT HAS NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE, IT IS A K*LLING MACHINE.”During Israel’s “Operation Guardian of the Walls(OGW)” against Hamas in Gaza, Albaddani retweeted a May 13, 2021 tweet that read: “Not one major media outlet has uttered a word about the genocide being carried out in Gaza for the past two hours by the Israeli state. Not f**king ONE.”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Albaddani retweeted a November 8, 2020 tweet that read: “Yes Israel exists. ⓘ𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.”
Albaddani retweeted a September 20, 2020 tweet that read: “I was 11 when I first watched the footage. Mohamed Dura shielded by his dad from Israeli bullets. One moment they were pleading for their lives, the next they were dead. He was 12, we belonged to the same generation. The horror in his eyes still shakes me to my core 20 yrs later.”
The Al-Durah hoax is an iconic piece of anti-Israel propaganda, fabricated on September 30, 2000 at the start of the Second Intifada by a France 2 reporter.

On April 27, 2020, Albaddani tweeted: “f**k Israel still the day I die.”
Albaddani retweeted an April 19, 2020 tweet that read: “If you could end COVID-19 by sacrificing any part of world, which nonexistent country would you choose and why Israel?”
