Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu
Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu expressed support for Hamas terrorism and engaged in anti-Israel activism, including participating in a pro-Hamas encampment at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) in April 2024 during Israel’s war against the terror group.
Israel launched the war after the October 7, 2023, terror attacks. Hamas murdered approximately 1,200 Israelis, injured thousands and kidnapped hundreds more that day.
As of May 2025, Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu was listed as the executive director of the Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
CAIR reportedly has “significant ties” to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and Hamas. A number of former CAIR employees have been convicted on fraud and terrorism-related charges that resulted monetary fines, jail terms and, sometimes, deportation. In May 2007, CAIR was listed as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a U.S.-filed action against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) for providing funds to Hamas. CAIR was also listed as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates, in 2014.
As of May 2025, Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu was also listed as a research fellow at George Mason University (Mason).
As of the same date, Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu's LinkedIn profile said he was located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
