Ahlam Majadly
Majadly has expressed support for terrorists and spread hatred of Zionists and Israel. Majadly served as the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) president at the University of Maryland (UMD SJP), as of December 2022. She has also engaged in other anti-Israel activism.
Majadly is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
Majadly participated as a 2020 youth fellow for the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR), and was affiliated with USCPR in 2021.
As of December 2022, Majadly’s LinkedIn page said she was studying public health science at UMD, slated to graduate in 2023.
Also as of December 2022, Majadly’s LinkedIn said she was located in Frederick, Maryland.
As of December 2022, Majadly used the handle “@ahlam_m970” on Twitter and the username “viva palestina” along with a Palestinian flag.
On September 23, 2020, Majadly tweeted: “YouTube just cut the livestream with Leila Khalid BUT WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. FREE PALESTINE …”
Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.
In September 2020, anti-Israel professor Rabab Abdulhadi co-organized an online “conversation” with Leila Khaled. Zoom canceled the planned live stream of the event, and Facebook followed Zoom’s lead. YouTube shut down the event after 23 minutes, stating that Khaled’s speech violated its policies with “content praising or justifying violent acts carried out by violent criminal or terrorist organizations.”
Majadly retweeted a July 12, 2021 tweet that said: “Sign the petition and use the hashtag #FreeKhalidaJarrar to amplify. Freedom to all our Palestinian political prisoners and all political prisoners globally.”
Khalida Jarrar is a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization. In 2019, she was arrested for her role as the leader of the PFLP in the West Bank, which had carried out a deadly 2018 bombing and was reportedly “planning additional attacks.” She was among 50 PFLP operatives arrested.
Majadly retweeted an October 7, 2021 tweet that said: “7 Palestinian prisoners continue the open hunger strike in the Israeli prisons…”
In October 2021, six prisoners affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) armed wing Al-Quds Brigades chose to prolong their hunger strike in protest against their administrative detention by Israel. The six men were Kayed al-Fasfus, Miqdad al-Qawasmeh, Alaa Aaraj, Hisham Abu Hawwash, Shadi Abu-Akr and Ayyad Hureimi.
Majadly retweeted a January 3, 2023 tweet that said: “Its the third day of 2023 & palestine honours its third martyr of the year, adan iyad, 15 years old, from dheisheh refugee camp in bethlehem, shot by invading zionist forces at dawn.”
Adam Iyad [Adam Issam Shaker Iyad] was purportedly [p. 4] a PFLP operative. He was killed in January 2023 during violent clashes with the IDF. Iyad reportedly threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at soldiers who had come to arrest a wanted terrorist. He wrote in his last will and testament that “one of his dreams” was “to die as a shaheed [martyr].” He was buried wrapped in a PFLP flag.
On August 21, 2019, Majadly tweeted: “You were cute until I found out you support Isra*l.”
On April 17, 2022, Majadly tweeted: “do zios actually believe the stuff the spew about Palestinians or do they know they’re lying through their teeth?!”
The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.
On January 13, 2022, Mahadly tweeted in reference to her own Twitter account: “this is an isr*el hate account."
Majadly retweeted a June 3, 2021 tweet that said: “Hey @POTUS, @SecBlinken, @SecDef, you have Palestinian blood on your hands. You’ve enabled the genocide of Palestinians through U.S. military funding and arms sales. Join the call for a #PeoplesArmsEmbargo to stop the flow of weapons now! #BloodOnBidensHands.”
On May 17, 2021, during Operation Guardian of the Walls (OGW), Majadly tweeted: “There is nothing complicated about is*ael murdering children, destroying homes and schools, targeting roads leading to hospitals, and slaughtering Palestinians. It’s genocide and a genocide funded by the US. #freepalestine #GazaUnderAttack.”
In May 2021, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorists fired over 4,300 rockets from Gaza at major population centers in Israel. Israel responded by launching OGW, carrying out targeted military strikes in Gaza.
Majadly retweeted a May 13, 2021 tweet that said: “these are NOT simply just attacks against hamas. they want to completely get rid of Gaza and it's people. A Genocide.”
On May 8, 2021, Majadly tweeted: “...and then you find out American police train with the IDF and IOF and it all comes together.” She was responding to a thread about Palestinians being hit with rubber bullets during OGW.
The accusation that Israeli law enforcement teaches American police brutal tactics during police exchange programs is used to demonize Israel. Participants in these programs have stated that the training in Israel focuses on public policy, counterterrorism and leadership training in the form of lectures and discussions.
“IOF” means “Israeli Occupation Forces,” a term used by anti-Israel activists to demonize Israel’s army in place of its real name, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). "IOF" is used to allege that Israel’s existence is illegitimate by accusing Israeli Jews of illegitimately occupying the entire land.
Majadly retweeted a January 14, 2021 tweet that said: “zionists think ‘from the river to the sea’ is antisemitic bc it calls for the ‘destruction’ of israel... decolonization is the point. if you’re not advocating for abolishing the settler state and a free palestine for all with refugee right of return, you’re anti-palestinian.”
“From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a chant used [00:02:47] to call for the elimination of the State of Israel. It has also been employed by Hamas leader Khaled Mashal to call for the replacement of Israel with an Islamic state. In April 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning the chant as antisemitic.
The “right of return” is a Palestinian demand discredited as a means to eliminate Israel. International law mandates no absolute right of return and UN Resolution 194, which defined principles for “refugees wishing to return to their homes,” was unanimously rejected by Arab nations following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
On July 1, 2020, Majadly tweeted: “one day we’re going to celebrate Palestinian Independence Day after we destroy the occupation and that’s what keeps me going…”
On June 21, 2020, Majadly tweeted: “that f**king video of the isra*lis dancing makes me want to throw up. if you support occupation you’re ugly. Palestinians are denied entry to THEIR homeland so people with absolutely no ties to the land can continue to colonize it…”
Majadly retweeted a June 20, 2020 tweet that said: “Israelis be like yeah we are an apartheid state slowly ethnically cleansing palestinians but we have hot women
come visit occupied stolen land so you can hook up with hot girls![]()

.”
On August 15, 2019 Majadly tweeted: “wooohooooo killing Palestinian children makes you a bad a**
KUS EM ISRAEL [F**k Israel] FREE PALESTINE …” She was responding to a tweet that mentioned Israeli actress Gal Gadot served in the IDF.
As of January 2023, Majadly was a signatory, as president of UMD SJP, to the “Palestinian Letter to Congress” drafted by the anti-Israel organization, Freedom Is the Future.
The letter urged members of the United States Congress “to cosponsor…pieces of legislation” aimed against Israel and “to draft and promote additional legislative vehicles” aimed at sanctioning Israel.
On June 19, 2021, Majadly tweeted: “anyways continue to boycott companies complicit in the occupation of Palestine, until they FULLY divest.”
On May 20, 2021, during OGW, Majadly tweeted: “If you want to be in solidarity with Palestinians, put your money where your mouth is!” Majadly attached a tweet that included “a list of companies that BDS…wants you to boycott…so pressure can be put on Israel.”
Majadly retweeted a May 15, 2021 tweet that said: “DC rising up with Palestine…You will not erase our resilience. The world will not erase Palestine. The youth will lead us towards #FreePalestine in their lifetimes…”
Majadly retweeted a February 5, 2020 tweet from UMD SJP that said: “We are a coalition of students, faculty, and orgs at the University of Maryland with the goal of divesting our endowment from companies that are complicit in the occupation of Palestine. SHARE AND SIGN OUR PETITION.”
The tweet was accompanied by a petition calling on UMD “to divest all holdings—direct investments and commingled funds—from the occupation of Palestine.” The petition also stated that UMD SJP “has vocally and symbolically supported the BDS movement since its foundation.”
A few months later, UMD SJP canceled the divestment campaign, which Majadly retweeted about. The tweet Majadly tweeted said: “...the fight continues! This is not the end, we will be continuing to advocate for Palestinians globally and look forward to continuing with the divestment bill in a future semester.”
SJP is a student organization engaged in anti-Israel activity on North American college and university campuses.
The first chapter of SJP was founded in 2001 at the University of California at Berkeley by Professor Hatem Bazian. Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism and defended the Hamas terror group. In 2004, Bazian called for “intifada” in America.
SJP organizes anti-Israel campaigns, including running annual Israel Apartheid Weeks, often in collaboration with Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Muslim Student Association (MSA) campus chapters.
SJP has been a major force in pushing the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement on campuses. Chapters have initiated dozens of BDS resolutions in student governments, which have been proposed on or around Jewish holidays, a time when many Jewish students are off-campus.
SJP activists have reportedly physically assaulted, intimidated and harassed Jewish students, disrupted pro-Israel campus events and demonized pro-Israel campus organizations.
Chapters have often endorsed and campaigned for numerous terrorists and whitewashed terrorism.
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement was founded by pro-terror activist Omar Barghouti in 2005 to turn “Israel into a pariah state, as South Africa once was.” Barghouti has also called for Israel's destruction and the BDS movement demands would result in that same goal.
BDS initiatives include calling on institutions and individuals to divest from Israeli-affiliated companies, promoting academic and cultural boycotts of Israel, and organizing anti-Israel rallies, protests and campaigns.
The movement’s most notable achievement has been infiltrating university campuses through lobbying for “BDS resolutions.” In these cases, student governments propose resolutions to boycott or divestment from Israel or Israeli-affiliated entities. BDS activity is often aggressive and disruptive. It has been noted that universities that pass BDS resolutions see a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents and pro-terror activism on campus.
