Whitewashing Terrorists

On March 7, 2017, Hassan retweeted a tweet that read: “Basil Al-Araj, Palestinian pharmacist, youth activist, writer, & PA critic, executed by Israeli forces in Ramallah raid this AM #باسل_الأعرج. [Basil Al-Araj],” along with a photo of Al-Araj.

Basel Al Araj was killed in a shoot-out with Israeli troops during an arrest raid. He had been suspected of belonging to a terror cell planning to carry out attacks on Israeli targets. Two M-16 assault rifles and an improvised Carlo-style submachine gun were found inside his home.

On March 1, 2017, Hassan retweeted a tweet that read: “Palestinian youth shot and killed by a Squatter in southern Hebron.” The tweet elaborated that the “Palestinian youth” was Saied Qaisiya.
25-year-old Saad Muhammad Ali Qaisiya invaded the home of an Israeli family and stabbed the homeowner, before being shot in self-defense.

On November 20, 2017, Hassan retweeted a tweet that read: “14-year-old Palestinian child Ahmed Manasra was sentenced to 12-years imprisonment by Israel today. He's been held captive for over 1-year.” The tweet featured two photos of Manasra.

Ahmed Manasra (sometimes spelled Mansara) and his 15-year-old cousin Hassan went on a stabbing spree in Jerusalem on October 12, 2015, during the Knife Intifada. They critically wounded a 13-year-old boy and moderately wounded a 25-year-old man. The spree ended when police shot Hassan and a passing motorist hit Ahmed. Ahmed was taken to an Israeli hospital. He admitted to investigators: “I went there to stab Jews.” He was later tried and convicted on two counts of attempted murder.

On November 7, 2016, Hassan retweeted a tweet that read: “The 1st one was killed, the 2nd is sentenced 12 yrs of imprisonment..The wild rule rules #AhmadManasrah.” The tweet juxtaposed a photo of Muhammad Al-Dura from what has widely become known as the “Al-Durah hoax” with a photo of Manasra after he was injured during his stabbing spree.
