Overview

Zayna Elayyan has spread hatred of Jews and Israel on Twitter. She also spread hatred of Jews and Israel while in high school.

As of July 2020, Elayyan’s LinkedIn page said she was a Machining Quality Intern at Daimler Trucks North America, in the Greater Detroit Area, since June 2019.

Elayyan’s LinkedIn page also said she was a student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn (UM-Dearborn), majoring in Mechanical Engineering, from “2016 - 2021.”

As of July 2020, Elayyan used the alias elayzayy on Twitter. 

Hatred of Jews

On November 8, 2016, Elayyan tweeted: “F**k the yahood [Jews] too.” Elayyan’s tweet came in response to another tweet that read: “F**k biology and f**k Donald trump.”

On February 19, 2016, Elayyan tweeted: “Yahood [Jews],” in response to a tweet that featured a video of Yasmin Rashad Al-Tamimi, who was reportedly wounded after she attempted to stab an Israeli soldier in Hebron.

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On August 19, 2018, Elayyan tweeted: “Performing in Tel Aviv to spread good vibes? Would you have performed in Nazi Germany? @LanaDelRey . While you’re performing for zionists, on the other side of the hill there are Palestinians with no electricity/food, constantly being raided and killed.”

Elayyan’s tweet was addressed to musician Lana Del Rey, who later canceled her scheduled performance in Israel after pressure from Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement activists.

On December 26, 2018, Elayyan tweeted: “I am from Bethlehem and I can confirm this is bulls**t. Our Palestinian Christian neighbors are equally terrorized by Israeli military forces. Lying effortlessly is a practice for Zionists.”

Elayyan’s tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “A reminder this #Christmas, #Israel is the only place in the Middle East where: The Christian community is actually growing! Christians are free to worship in peace! Christians have full civil rights.”

On January 28, 2019, Elayyan tweeted: “This neglects every violent crime Israel has committed and is still committing until this day. Every martyr, every refugee, every institutionalized discrimination, and methodical abuses towards the Palestinians. No thanks.”

The tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “The solution to the Middle East conflict might actually be found at this Berlin bar .” The tweet featured a video about the friendship between an Israeli drag queen and a Syrian belly dancer who perform together in Berlin. 

High School Hatred of Jews

On August 29, 2014, Elayyan tweeted: “@j_o_u_d_y ur a yahoodi [Jew].”

The tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “Zayna!!! Suck my a**!!!!!!”

On February 16, 2014, Elayyan tweeted: “@j_o_u_d_y what part of wearing the same shirt is a joke to u huh jew huh?”

High School Hatred of Israel

On December 9, 2015, Elayyan tweeted: “Palestine doesn't need any more pigs(zionists) that it already has…”

The tweet was in response to another tweet by United States President Donald Trump, that read: “Prior to the end of the year, I will be traveling to Israel. I am very much looking forward to it.”

On October 25, 2014, Elayyan tweeted: “If you support Isreal and zionism, then you seriously need to reconsider your ‘humanitarian’ views. What they do is murder.”

On August 26, 2014, during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge (OPE), Elayyan tweeted: “All the oppression and mass murdering in Palestine, we will never bow down to Isreal. #winners.”

Israel commenced OPE in July 2014 to stop rocket fire targeting Israeli civilians and to destroy Hamas attack tunnels.
