Overview
Yousif Amra has spread anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel on Twitter.As of March 2018, Amra was a member of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) Auraria Facebook group.
As of March 2018, Amra’s Facebook page said that he was a “Licensed Insurance Sales Agent” at Optum Rx/UnitedHealth Group in Aurora, Colorado from “2014 to present.”
As of April 2019, Amra’s Facebook page said he worked at the U.S. Marine Corps from “December 5, 2018 to present.”
Amra’s Facebook page also said he was a student at the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) studying “Mechanical Engineering” from “2014 to 2019.”
Anti-Jewish Social Media Posts
On October 11, 2016, Amra tweeted: “This encounter basically proved to me thay Jews be consistently cheap with gold around there neck 😂😂😂 ‘haha pay day is tomorrow man, thanks’”On April 5, 2015, Amra tweeted a video of an infant saying “’Kos Omkom’ [F**k your mother's].” Amra wrote: “@mzeitawi23: When I think of yahood [Jews] 😂 ‘ Yung Bucks Volume VII.”
On March 5, 2014, Amra promoted the conspiracy theory that Jews were behind the 9/11 terror attacks, tweeting: “‘@ConspiracyPix: 9/11. ‘“ Amra commented: “Jew.”
As of January 21, 2018, Amra’s tweet featured a photo (since removed) of U.S. businessman Larry Silverstein and another photo of the World Trade Center surrounded in smoke.
The caption on the photo read: “DID YOU KNOW. Just months before 9/11 the World Trade Centers lease was privatised and sold to Larry Silverstein.”
On August 8, 2013, Amra tweeted: “@DavidIsTooCoool nah cuz ill just give you up, anything to rid the world of jew invaders.”
On November 2, 2012, Amra tweeted: “@SeriouslyDoe_ you're a Jew, always crying boo-hoo, never having a shoe, either way i think youre coo #Freestyle.”
On September 30, 2012, Amra tweeted: “There are two kinds if problems in my country: money and jew #BoratDaRealestNigga.”
Spreading Hatred of Israel
On April 10, 2015, Amra tweeted: “@MoroccanHijabi: Remember @netanyahu ? This is him before and after, feel old yet? ‘I can't see the difference fam.” The tweet featured a photo of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next to a photo of a pig.MSA
The MSA was established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations."
The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.
The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
