Overview
William Bass has spread anti-Semitism, anti-Jewish conspiracy theories, misogyny and hatred of America on social media.As of November 2020, Bass’s Facebook page said he was a “Priest & Prophet of the Lord Officer of 50” as well as a Bible Teacher at the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge (ISUPK) and lived in Richmond, Virginia.
ISUPK is a Black Hebrew Israelite group, one of several African American groups whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.
As of November 2020, Bass’s other Facebook page said he studied at John Tyler Community College (JTCC) in Richmond Virginia.
As of November 2020, Bass went by the name “Qashah UPK” and the handle will2stack, on Soundcloud where he produced music.
As of the same date, Bass went by the name “Qashah Yasharahla Upk” on one of hisFacebook pages, by “Qashah Yahawadah” on his second Facebook page and by “William Qashah Bass” on his third Facebook page.
As of November 2020, Bass used the handle HebrewSoldier7 and the screen name “Qashah Ban Yahawadah” on Twitter, as well as on his Youtube channel.
As of the same date, Bass also went by the name QASHAH BAN YAHAWADAH and used the handle qashahupk on Instagram.
Anti-Semitism
On May 3, 2019, Bass tweeted a graphic that featured a photo of ultra-Orthodox Jews captioned with verses from the New Testament Book of Revelation, 2:9, that read: “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of satan.”On October 29, 2018, Bass wrote on Facebook: “Those ppl weren't Jews and that's why the Lord allowed them to be destroyed for being imposters and stealing Blacks Hispanics and Native Indians identity. [sic]”
Bass’s post linked to an article about Robert Bowers, who killed 11 people and injured six in an October 27, 2018 shooting attack upon worshippers at Tree of Life Synagogue,in Pittsburgh.
On May 31, 2018, Bass shared a Facebook post that read: “After officer Chaarab Banyamyan and myself dismantle this identity and culture vulture known as the Jewish man ....I’m breaking out every shred of archeological and anthropological data I have to prove the northern kingdom especially the so called Mexicans are Israelite.”
On September 21, 2017, Bass shared a graphic on Facebook that depicted Jewish people as “Satanic Khazarians” and as “Imposter Jews as stated in the Bible” as well as “Edomites.”
The “Khazar myth” refers to the assertion that Ashkenazi Jews are not descended from the ancient Israelites but instead come from the Khazar People, whose ruling class was said to have converted to Judaism. One way anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to promote the Khazar myth to deny [00:02:16] Israel’s legitimacy through the denial of Jewish ancestry and Jews’ connection to the Land of Israel.
Edom refers to the Biblical Edomites, who were the descendants of and representatives of the biblical figure Esau in the book of Genesis.
On May 6, 2017, Bass shared a graphic on Facebook that portrayed Orthodox Jews as “FAKE JEWS” “KHAZARS,” “Imposters” and referred to Revelation, 2:9, that read: “... and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of satan.”
Bass commented on the post saying: “Amalek is the devil.”
In the Biblical book of Exodus, Amalek is a recurrent enemy of the Jews.
On March 1, 2017, Bass tweeted a graphic that depicted an Israeli soldier with demonic features, masquerading as an Ashkenazi Jew with a hooked nose, labeled “Synagogue of Satan,” helping a “JewISH Khazar Convert” outweigh “True Biblical Israelites, Jews” depicted as black and brown people.
On February 27, 2017, Bass tweeted: “Blacks are the true Jews.”
Bass’s tweet featured a quote ascribed to Benjamin H. Freedman, a Holocaust denier and anti-Zionist, who converted from Judaism to Roman Catholicism.
On February 9, 2017, Bass tweeted a graphic that featured a photo of Orthodox Jews with superimposed text that read: “The Synagogue of Satan.” The graphic Bass tweeted also quoted Revelation 3:9 saying” … behold I will make them come and worship before thy feet …”
On February 6, 2017, Bass shared a graphic on Facebook with a caption that read: “If the real Jews are so called black, hispanic & native indian… then who are the people in Israel today?”Bass commented on the graphic, saying: “THE GOT DAMN DEVIL THE BIBLE SPEAK OF...AMALEK AND ESAU.”
On January 19, 2017, Bass shared on Facebook a graphic that featured a photo of Orthodox Jews praying, with text that read: “The synagogue of SATAN.”
On September 6, 2017, Bass shared a photo on Facebook of a newspaper article headlined: “Edomites Occupy Israel” with a photo of Orthodox Jews.
Bass commented on the post saying: “Through the power of Yahawah [God] destroy all them that claim our Nationality...I am a Jew not the so called white man.”
On August 28, 2016, Bass tweeted: “Jewish means something like... meaning they are not the real jews.”
On February 28, 2016, Bass tweeted a graphic that featured a picture of former Egyptian President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, with a quote ascribed to him that read: “The Europeans claiming to be Jews are nothing more than ‘Hebrew speaking Gentiles.’”
The quote continued: “you (the Jews) will never be able to live here in peace, because they left here black but came back white. We cannot except [sic] you! (1952).”

On November 2, 2015, Bass shared a graphic on Facebook with a heading that read: “MEET THE FATHERS OF ‘AFRICAN HISTORY.” The graphic featured photos of two American anthropologists with Jewish backgrounds, Melville J. Herskowitz and Franz Boas.
The graphic continued with text that read: “Not only do the ‘Black Americans’ out of ‘Africa Motherland’ concept come from white Eugenicist Charles Darwin, but the ‘Black American’ historical connection to the landmass presently known as ‘Africa’ is based upon two Jewish men; for the sole purpose of suppressing records of ‘Black Americans’ origins' and indigenous history in America within academic institutions created by white supremacy.
On August 9, 2015, Bass shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a drawing of an Orthodox Jew with horns, holding a bag of “ALL THE WORLD’S WEALTH” in one hand and a black baby hung by a noose in the other, with a speech bubble emanating from his mouth that read: “I AM THE F**KING DEVIL!” The image labeled the Orthodox Jew a “FAKE JEW RAT BASTARD.”

On June 16, 2018, while street preaching in a Youtube video titled: OUR WOMEN HAVE BECOME MONSTERS FOR OUR OPPRESSOR - ISUPK, Bass said [00:01:06]: “The black woman is out of control these days. The Christian Church and the Pastor taught her to be a whore. To run her mouth and try to kick a black man out of the house and raise a single family and that is why we are in the condition we are in today.”
Bass continued [00:04:38], saying: “Shut your damn mouth black woman. We are sick of you. We are sick of you trying to run the household…”
Bass added [00:05:28]: “Be quiet, be quiet black woman. We need you to be quiet, we need you to cook that black man a hot meal every single day, regardless of whether we worked or didn’t work.
