Overview
Scottie Spencer was reportedly arrested in 2016 for perpetrating an anti-Semitic felony hate crime in Ohio. Spencer has glorified Nazi ideology, spread Holocaust denial and promoted anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.He has also pushed anti-Semitism and spread anti-Israel conspiracy theories.
Spencer posted on Facebook in 2016 that he is a gun owner.
On April 2, 2017, the anti-Semitic website henrymakow.com descibed Spencer as “an unemployed 25-year-old” who was “the genius behind the Smoloko.com memes.”
As of January 2019, Smoloko.com (Smoloko) was defunct, although many screenshots of Spencer’s memes remained visible on an independent third-party database. As of the same date, smoloko.wordpress.com still existed. However, its final post, dated May 24, 2014, told readers to “go to smoloko.com for all news and updates from now on.”
On February 5, 2019, neo-Nazi blogger “Alice F.” claimed that Spencer stopped “making memes of Smoloko against the evil tribe” due to legal pressure from “the Jews.”
Felony Hate Crime Arrest
On September 22, 2016, Spencer was reportedly arrested in Mahoning County, Ohio for “ethnic intimidation and criminal mischief,” for writing anti-Semitic messages in chalk on a public sidewalk. The messages he reportedly chalked included: “‘Hitler was right’, ‘Jews highjacked (sp) America’, and ‘Jews are behind the race mixing agenda.’”On June 5, 2017, the anti-Semitic website Aladdins Miracle Lamp said in a blog post that Spencer accepted a plea deal that included two years of “probation and fines.”
The blog post reported that Spencer said: “Antisemitism was severely punished in the Soviet Union and here I am, an American citizen getting two years probation for having antisemitic views, this confirms that America is a communist country, and communism means Jewish domination over your country.”
Glorifying Nazi Ideology
As of May 16, 2019, Spencer’s background photo on Gab was of a Nazi rally grounds in Nuremburg, Germany, where the main building featured a large swastika.On May 14, 2017, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “1488.”
“1488” is a common neo-Nazi phrase. The “14” stands for the “14 Words,” a term created by white supremacist David Lane, meaning: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." The “88” is code for “Heil Hitler,” since “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet.
On January 25, 2017, Spencer posted a Facebook photo of him holding Adolf Hitler’s book Mein Kampf. He wrote: “Let's make America Great Again Baby! #MAGA.”
On December 13, 2016, Spencer posted a Smoloko image on Gab showing Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels and the text: “‘If someone is attacked by the Jews, that is a sure sign of his virtue. He who is not persecuted by the Jews, or who is praised by them,is useless and dangerous.’ ~ Joseph Goebbels.”
On December 8, 2016, Spencer posted a Smoloko image on Gab praising Adolf Hitler. He wrote in his post: “Isn’t it tragically funny that the only real political leader we’ve had during the past few centuries is the one person who is vilified more than any other,Adolf #Hitler.That’s the degree to which reality has been turned upside down by the Jews.”
On the same day, Spencer posted on Gab: “10 REASONS WHY HITLER WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS … #ALTRIGHT #MAGA #Hitler #TRUTH #DrainTheSwamp #NameTheJew #HitlerWasRight.”
Also on that day, Spencer posted on Gab: “#HitlerWasRight - Jewish tribalism is at the center of all our country's problems. We must legally forbid jews from having any civil authority both politically and culturally to save our nation and the western world from judaic destruction. #MAGA #draintheswamp.”

Spreading Holocaust Denial
On March 7, 2017, Spencer posted to Facebook a graphic published on smolko.com, containing a quote attributed to “Chief Rabbi Aryeh Friedmann.” The quote read: “The holocaust is a successful historical fiction.”Spencer added the comment: “#holohoax.”
On November 1, 2016, Spencer posted to Facebook another graphic published on smolko.com, featuring text that read: “87-YEAR-OLD GERMAN WOMAN URSULA HAVERBECK SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR QUESTIONING JEW HOLOCAUST HOAX…”
Spencer’s Facebook post went on to quote additional text from the graphic: “People everywhere should be questioning the Jew Holocaust narrative.”
On October 31, 2016, Spencer posted to Facebook text from another smolko.com graphic, reading: “‘I'm not going to believe any of the stupid rumors I hear about jews being gassed during WWII. ‘I'm not going to believe any of the stupid rumors I hear about jews being burned in ovens during WWII. ‘I'm not going to believe any of the stupid rumors I hear about 6 million jews dying during WWII, especially since the total European jewish population actually increased.’”
Promoting Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories
On January 24, 2018, Spencer posted on Gab: “2% of the US population (Jews) should not be determining the destiny of the other 98%. That's not democracy. It's a Jewish dictatorship. It's high time White Americans take their country back from the Jews who stole it from them and execute for treason the politicians who allowed it to happen. #MAGA.”On December 9, 2017, Spencer posted on Gab: “Who runs all of our key institutions for their own self gain? Who killed JFK? Who did 911? Who starts all the wars? Who's behind globalism & the goal of a borderless world government where there are no more white people to challenge their tyranny? THE JEWS STUPID #ALTRIGHT #WakeUpNormies #News.”
On July 1, 2017, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “...The American people are slaves to the Jews and don't even know it because the Jews control the media. They're such good little obedient slaves that they even go out of their way to defend their hooknosed masters and will call me 'antisemitic' for pointing out the ugly truth they do not want to hear. On June 30, 2017, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “The reason the world is so messed up is because the Jews control everything.”
On May 17, 2017, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “Jewish supremacists are responsible for starting World War 1, World War 2 and are now trying to initiate a third world war between Russia and America in order to complete their plan for Jewish World Government.”
On March 7, 2017, Spencer posted a Facebook image of Henry Ford and a quote attributed to him: “I know who caused the war [World War I] - the Jewish bankers! I have the evidence here. Facts!”
On December 21, 2016, Spencer posted on Gab: “People who refer to Hillary as 'Hitlery' are grossly misinformed about Hitler and are brainwashed by the very same (((media))) they supposedly are opposed to. This is what you call cognitive dissonance. #MAGA #Trump #HitlerWasRight #BanJudaism #BanTheJew #SpeakFreely.”
The use of triple parentheses, known as “echoes,” has been adopted by anti-Semites, such as neo-Nazis and white nationalists, to stigmatize and target individuals of Jewish background for online harassment.

The Jew will not be recognized by God as one of His chosen people until he abandons his demonic religion and returns to the faith of his fathers -- the faith which embraces Jesus Christ and His Gospel.”
Also on March 6, 2017, Spencer posted on Facebook: “An early admiring biographer of Meyer Rothschild declared that Rothschild was a ‘zealous believer in the Talmud [the guiding structure of Jewish laws] and chose it alone as the guiding principle of all his actions’. These filthy parasites all hang together like a tight-knit crime gang.”
On November 28, 2016, Spencer posted on Gab: “Those who fight the Jew, battles the Devil!’ Yes my friends, Judaism & Satanism are inseparable. On October 30, 2016, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “Jewish extremist power has been the biggest enemy of Jesus Christ and Christians for the last 2,000 years. The term "Zio" is a common derogatory reference to Zionists, as well as an often-used anti-Semitic slur among white supremacists.
On October 15, 2015, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “Today, the House of Israel, the physical nation of Israel, is exactly what Jesus said it would be—a spiritual desert, a nation of lying, deceiving, terrorist killers; desolate of morality, devoid of righteousness.”
Spencer’s Facebook post continued: “All of Rothschild’s trillions and all of America’s boatloads of foreign aid, diplomatic cover, and military armaments heaped on the artificially created nation of Israel for the past six decades cannot change one iota of what Jesus prophesied.”
Spreading Anti-Israel Conspiracy Theories
On May 16, 2017, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “Fact of the day: ISIS is conducting the expansionist policy of Israel.” His post also contained a graphic with text that claimed: “Muslims are being used by the Mossad Israeli secret service] to create an Israeli super state,” Spencer commented:On December 21, 2016, Spencer posted on Gab: “The only foreign country that interferes and influences the outcome of US elections is the anti-christ state of Israel & the Jews! On December 8, 2016, Spencer posted on Gab a smolko.com graphic that featured imagery associating Jews with demons and included the hashtags: “#FuckIsrael #Israel #IsraelDid911#JUDIASMisSATANISM.”
On March 8, 2016, Spencer posted to Facebook a graphic quoting anti-Israel statements by the late Congressman James Traficant, such as: “They (Israel) own congress” and “They (Jews) control much of the media, they control much of the commerce of the country, and they control powerfully both bodies of the Congress.”
Spencer’s graphic also alleged that Traficant was “murdered by Zionist forces on his farm” in 2014.
On February 28, 2016, Spencer posted to Facebook a graphic featuring Hillary Clinton and Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, with the text “Jew puppet” imprinted on their foreheads. Text in the image also said: “all are owned and controlled by the Jewish money power and Israel.”
On December 1, 2015, Spencer wrote on Facebook: “America is now police state Amerika, a crime scene of Jewish decadence and greed.
