Ivan Garcia
Overview
Ivan Garcia has spread anti-Semitism, as well as hatred of America and the police. Garcia has also promoted a terrorist leader.In 2019, Garcia was affiliated [slide 14] with the General Union of Palestine Students (GUPS) at San Francisco State University (SFSU). GUPS is an affiliate of the national campus group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).
In August 2018, Garcia indicated that he was studying at SFSU. As of November 2022, he said he was “a journalist studying at San Francisco State University.”
Also in August 2018, Garcia wrote that he graduated from Monterey Peninsula College (MPC) in Monterey, CA, in 2018.
In April 2022, Garcia tweeted that he worked at Casa de Apoyo [House of Support], a housing resource hub in San Francisco’s Excelsior District.
As of November 2022, Garcia used the handle “@Iamnotacop” on Twitter and “@iamnotanarc” on Instagram.
Also as of November 2022, Garcia’s Facebook page indicated he was located in Marina, California.
During Garcia’s pre-university years, he also spread anti-Semitism.
Spreading Anti-Semitism
On July 5, 2015, Garcia tweeted: “...More like...Fourth of JEWS LIE. Am I right? Like 4th of July. But ‘jews lie’.”On July 4, 2015, Garcia tweeted: “Salute to all the jewish people of the world, we know yall stay schemin'. #4thofJEWly.”
On December 30, 2014, Garcia tweeted: “We gettin' money like a Jew homie.”
On October 5, 2014, Garcia tweeted: “‘...My parents don't understand that bad b**ches don't go to church.’u need to visit yo local Sinagouge. Rich jewish women.”
Hatred of America
On November 24, 2014, Garcia tweeted: “F**k Amerikkka.”The term “Amerikkka” uses the initials of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) as a way to demonize America as “fascist or racist.”
On May 18, 2015, Garcia tweeted: “Miss Amerikkka 2015.”
On May 7, 2016, Garcia tweeted: “Captain Amerikkka: Race War.”
On July 19, 2020, Garcia tweeted: “Welcome to the United States of Amerikkka where wearing a mask for the sake of public health is tyranny but police arresting and killing unarmed protestors is just the actions of a good strong government.”

On July 22, 2015, Garcia tweeted: “There is no such thing as a ‘good’ cop in the same way there was no ‘good’ nazis…”On September 2, 2015, Garcia tweeted: “... police continue to be a horrid plauge from Palestine to Salinas, CA. They are the backbone of opression...”
On June 9, 2020, Garcia tweeted: “It’s 2020 and ACAB [all cops are b**tards] replaced LMFAO [laughing my f**king a** off].”
On January 6, 2021, Garcia tweeted: “...police explicitly exist to terrorize Black and Indigenous peoples for the sake of retaining white supremacy…”
Promoting a Terrorist Leader
Garcia retweeted a September 23, 2020 tweet supporting a planned webinar featuring terrorist Leila Khaled. The webinar was hosted by GUPS faculty advisor Rabab Abdulhadi but was canceled by multiple platforms like Zoom, Facebook and Youtube.Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.

On January 9, 2014, Garcia tweeted: “...Israel is an evil country and should be wiped out from this earth. Bunch of greedy facist I tell you…”On April 14, 2013, Garcia tweeted: “...I h8 all relegions equally. Christans,Jews,Muslims,Hindus. They're all equally evil.”
GUPS SFSU - Overview
GUPS SFSU has promoted terrorists, participated in anti-Israel rallies, demonized Israel and Zionism, and campaigned for the BDS Movement as part of its anti-Israel activism.GUPS SFSU was founded in 1973. Hatem Bazian was reportedly GUPS SFSU’s most prominent alumnus, as he co-founded the anti-Israel organization Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at UC-Berkeley in 2000. He also founded American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) in 2006. SJP was modeled on GUPS when it was founded.
