Hashem Dasan

Overview

Hashem Dasan has expressed support for terrorists and spread hatred of Israel on Twitter. 

In 2013, 2014 and 2015, Dasan was affiliated with the Muslim American Society (MAS) - Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA).
 
As of September 2019, Dasan’s LinkedIn page said he was a Legal Operations Analyst at Somnia Inc., since June 2019. His LinkedIn also said that he received his MBA in Accounting and Finance from Mercy College (MC) in 2019 and studied Accounting and Business/Management at Pace University (Pace) from “2012 - 2016.” 

Support for Terrorists

On October 17, 2015, Dasan tweeted: “The world must know even if it's one person at a time. #Spreadtheword #resistance #Palestine.” The tweet featured a mural with a picture of Leila Khaled and a slogan that read: “RESISTANCE IS NOT TERRORISM. PFLP.”

Leila Khaled is a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and participated in the hijacking of TWA Flight 840 in 1969 and El Al Flight 219 in 1970. As of 2017, Khaled was a member of PFLP's Political Bureau. Khaled has said that the second intifada failed because it was not violent enough, advocated [00:36:07] for the use of children in terror activities and compared Zionists to Nazis.  

The PFLP has been designated a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) by the United States, Canada, Israel, the European Union, the Gulf Cooperation Council and Australia.  
On October 11, 2015, Dasan tweeted: “Ya Allah #perfection.” The tweet featured a photo of a masked Palestinian woman firing a sling-shot.

In October 2015, there was an upsurge in violence across Israel incited by Palestinian political and religious leaders. The wave of stabbings, known as the “Knife Intifada,” was characterized by young Palestinians throughout the country stabbing and attempting to stab Israeli civilians.

On October 4, 2015, Dasan tweeted: “I just don't know what to say anymore. The world is watching us die. Israeli police kill Fadi Alloun in cold blood https://youtu.be/nj8gXqGh2V0 .”

Fadi Aloon was shot by Israeli security forces after he stabbed a 15-year-old Israeli boy. Several hours before the attack, Aloon posted “Either martyrdom or victory” on his Facebook page. 

Spreading Hatred of Israel

On January 7, 2015, Dasan tweeted: “ISIS are Zionist Israeli Jews posing as Muslims. The media is spreading lies. The media is owned by Zionist…”

On July 26, 2014, Dasan tweeted: “To whoever thinks pigs can't fly. #IsraelIsAWarCriminal #IsraeliTerrorism.” The tweet featured a photo of an Israeli flag next to a military aircraft.
