Harry Hughes

Overview

Harry L. Hughes is a gun enthusiast and “Acting PR Director” for the neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement (NSM). He has spread anti-Semitism and racism and promoted hatred of Israel. He is also affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).

As of May 2019, Hughes had posted to Facebook photos of himself conducting armed patrols of the United States-Mexico border, along Arizona.

As of the same date, Hughes managed the Facebook page US Border Guard.

Also as of the same date, Hughes’s Facebook page indicated that he lived in Maricopa, Arizona.

Gun Enthusiast

On April 16, 2019, Hughes posted a Facebook photo from a border patrol where he held his assault rifle while wearing fatigues.

On April 14, 2019, Hughes posted a Facebook photo of his assault rifle and wrote: “04/14/2019, Sunday morning included housekeeping chores, pest control and some firearms cleaning... Almost time to cook some chicken.”

NSM Activism

As of May 2019, Hughes said on Gab that he was the “Acting NSM PR Director.” In a 2017 Youtube video titled NSM Media Plug 09/02/2017, Hughes said [00:00:58] he had been an NSM activist for approximately eight years.

On October 19, 2017, Hughes posted a Youtube video promoting an upcoming “White
Lives Matter” rally in Tennessee. Participating organizations included NSM and other white nationalist groups like the Nationalist Front (NF), Traditionalist Workers Party (TWP) and League of the South (LS).

On August 17, 2017, Hughes said [00:00:02] in a news report that he was the NSM’s regional director for Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, Hawaii, the United Kingdom and Ireland. He added [00:00:15]: “We might be working into Mexico next.”

On December 15, 2015, Hughes tweeted: “'Sieg Heil' is trending on Twitter for the very first time #SiegHeil #NSM88  'Hail victory'

“88” is a neo-Nazi phrase that means “Heil Hitler.” “8” is used twice since “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet.

On November 6, 2015, Hughes tweeted a photo of himself with three other NSM activists holding NSM shields while giving a Nazi salute in Tupelo, Mississippi. They were there for a joint NSM and KKK rally.

On September 26, 2015, Hughes tweeted a photo of himself posing with an assualt rifle and a dog, while patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border, along Arizona. He wrote: “#NSM88 is patrolling the BORDERLANDS of #Arizona #Pinal #BLM Sonoran Desert National Monument nsm88.org.”

In July 2010, the NSM webpage said that Hughes was “Unit Executive Officer” for NSM-Arizona.

Also in July 2010, NSM said Hughes leads armed NSM patrols of the Arizona border with Mexico. NSM said when they find illegal aliens or drug smugglers, they “notify the Border Patrol who will dispatch agents to pick up and deport the illegal border crossers.”

The same month, Hughes said [00:00:26] on Youtube that he has done similar border patrols for “almost two decades.”

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On May 11, 2019, Hughes posted on Gab: “Remember this, when (((they))) tell you there's only one race or there are 57 different genders…”


Hughes retweeted a May 4, 2019 tweet with a meme alleging Israeli and Jewish control over the U.S. government. The meme showed a photo-shopped image of the U.S. House of Representatives plastered with sponsorship banners of financial institutions, investment groups, large corporations, media companies, as well as the Israeli flag, the logo of The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the logo of the Rothschild Foundation.

The American flag in the chamber was altered to incorporate a Star of David. Text on the memesaid: “This is what it would look like if government was actually transparent.”

On May 2, 2019, Hughes tweeted: “In #Nazi Germany, #AdolfHitler referred to Jewish people as “international elements that ‘conduct their business everywhere.’’ #Globalism.” Part of the text of the tweet was from a Newsweek article Hughes shared in the tweet.

Hughes reposted an April 28, 2019, Gab post with a graphic of John Earnest, who killed one and injured three in an attempted mass murder at a Poway, California synagogue in April 2019.

The graphic said: “John Earnest - Another Victim of the Jewish War on Whites.” The continued: “They have created a world now, where musically gifted, intelligent, talented white kids decide to sacrifice their lives to shoot up a synagogue.”

The Gab post added: “Reminder Jews are the reason whites like this are giving their lives up - its not whites like this giving their lives up which are responsible for what Jews are doing.”

Hughes reposted an April 8, 2019 Gab post that said: “More (((Winning)))!” The post featured an article with the headline: “U.S. Projected to Add 1.5M Illegal Aliens To Population This Year.”

Hughes retweeted a March 5, 2019 tweet by “Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children,” showing police brutalizing civilians that said: “Coming soon to America. For those still asleep, ‘it’s a war between the Jews and the non-Jews.’ — H.A.K. [Henry A. Kissinger].”

The post utilized a quote attributed to Henry A. Kissinger about alleged infighting within the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

On October 17, 2018, Hughes tweeted: “Trump calls #FederalReserve ‘aka ((( international hyenas )))’ his 'biggest threat' #EndTheFed.”

Hughes retweeted an August 19, 2018 tweet that said: “(((Who))) are these people?” The tweet featured a Twilight Zone-based meme that said: “Imagine if you will a group of people so disgusting… ...they have to make laws making it illegal to hate them.”

Hughes reposted a May 8, 2018 Gab post that said: “A leading Rabbi in Europe demands that the gun laws be changed so that people can arm and defend themselves. Oh wait, no he wants only Jews to be able to arm themselves. What was I thinking? How about f**k your Jewish supremacy Shlomo! #TheGoyimKnow.”

The term “goy” in modern Hebrew and Yiddish is traditionally used to refer to a non-Jew.
The post included a link to a Newsweek story about a leading European Rabbi asking for “legislation giving special licence [sic] for Jewish people to carry guns” amid a rise in anti-Semitic attacks, including four Jewish men being killed when Amedy Coulibaly took hostages in a kosher supermarket in northeast Paris.

On May 17, 2018, Hughes tweeted: “Campaign #robocall refers to Sen. #DianneFeinstein as ‘traitorous’ #Jew ‘Show me the lie, and I will consider renouncing it.’”

Hughes’ tweet referred to a robocall against U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein that urged listeners to support the campaign of her neo-Nazi challenger” and called the Senator a “traitorous” Jew.

On March 20, 2018, Hughes posted on Gab: “Why are #Jews after our #guns?” He posted an article from the Forward about an anti-Semitic flyer that appeared on the University of Minnesota campus and contained the same phrase Hughes wrote in his post.   

Hughes reposted a February 6, 2018 Gab post that said: “BLM [Black Lives Matter] activist said he wanted to ‘kill all white people’ & then followed white males on walking trails and shot them in back of head. Anti-white ((( media ))) nearly silent on story.  If Obama had a son....”

Racism

On September 20, 2017, Hughes tweeted: “#NationalHispanicHeritageMonth planting the seeds of destruction, under the guise of #diversity and cultural enrichment. #BuildThatWall.” Hughes’s tweet included a photo with the caption: “A Generational Criminal Enterprise Bringing Destruction to the U.S.A.”

On January 23, 2017, Hughes tweeted a meme of a black man talking to police officers with the caption: “How many nuffins did a dindu do if a dindu dindu nuffin?” Hughes wrote: “DPS Trooper is making his calculations.”

“Dindu” or “Dindu Nuffin” is a racial slur used against American black people.  

Promoting Hatred of Israel

On January 31, 2019, Hughes tweeted: “#Democrats want to know why active-duty troops are still on the southern US #border (instead of dying for #Israel).”

On May 22, 2017, Hughes tweeted: “#trump trip: Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. Next stop: Go to #Israel and bow to the #Wall.”

On September 9, 2016, Hughes tweeted: “#ISIS: #Allah commands us not to fight #Israel & #Jews http://whatsupic.com/news-politics-world/1473195366.html …”
