Darnell Rashaun
Overview
Darnell Rashaun has spread anti-Semitism on social media.Rashaun has self-identified as an “Israelite,” in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American group whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.
As of July 2020, Rashaun’s Twitter and Facebook bios said he was an “Artist” and a “Chef” who lived in Chicago, Illinois.
Anti-Semitism
On December 26, 2019, Rashaun tweeted: “Trap music'spopularity has grown because it's destructive nature was deliberately curated by ‘Jewish’ entertainment executives.”Rashaun’s tweet was written in response to another tweet that read: “Tweet your most random music fact.”
On December 15, 2019, Rashaun shared a graphic on Facebook that featured a quote ascribed to Harold Wallace Rosenthal, former senior Aide to United States senator, Jacob Javitz, that read: “Most Jews do not like to admit it but our god is Lucifer… and we are his chosen people.”
The supposed quote was from a 1978 pamphlet, The Hidden Tyranny, also reportedly known as “The Rosenthal Document,” which purportedly included an interview with Rosenthal. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) described the pamphlet as a “fabricated document.”
The pamphlet claimed that Rosenthal revealed a plan by American Jews to take over the world, by implementing programs laid out in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is an anti-Semitic fabricated text that depicts wealthy Jews conspiring to take over the world.
On the same day, Rashaun shared on Facebook the image of a book titled “Facts are Facts,” by Benjamin H. Freedman, a Holocaust denier and anti-Zionist, who converted from Judaism to Roman Catholicism. The book claimed that “Jews in Palestine are not the true descendants of the Judeans, but rather descendants of the KHAZARS.”
The “Khazar myth” refers to the assertion that Ashkenazi Jews are not descended from the ancient Israelites but instead come from the Khazar People, whose ruling class was said to have converted to Judaism. One way anti-Israel activists spread anti-Semitism is to promote the Khazar myth to deny [00:02:16] Israel’s legitimacy through the denial of Jewish ancestry and Jews’ connection to the Land of Israel.
On December 14, 2019, Rashaun tweeted: “We are the real Jews! According to Deut 28, the ‘african americans’ that went thru the trans atlantic slave trade are the descendants of the biblical Israelites. Today's ‘Jew-ish’ people are imposters (Rev 2:9, 3:9).”
On November 10, 2019, Rashaun tweeted: “This native born palestinian brother acknowledged the jews are in fact Khazars, that the Israelites are black and that we are fam thru Abraham. Shout out to my Ishmaelite cuzos.”
On April 23, 2019, Rashaun tweeted that “the modern day Jews are imposters.”
On January 2, 2019, Rashaun tweeted: “Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”
On November 13, 2018, Rashaun tweeted: “Let me find out Ashkenazi agents are re-writing ‘lost’ books to thwart the awakening of the true Israelites.”
