Overview

Dareious Dean [Dareious Levar Dean] has spread anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish conspiracy theories as well as homophobia and misogyny on Twitter. 

Dean has indicated on Twitter that he identifies as an “Israelite,” in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American group whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.  

As of May 2020, Dean’s Facebook page said he was a Graphic Designer and his Instagram bio said he was a “Graphic Designer / Fashion Designer / Artist” in Detroit, Michigan. Dean’s Instagram bio also said he was an “Official Graphic Designer For @ladeami_wordplayclothingco.com.”

As of the same date, Dean’s LinkedIn page said he studied at Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) in Southfield, Michigan, from “2012 - 2014.”

As of May 2020, Dean used the alias sonofproverbs 8/26 יִשְׂרָאֵלידה on Twitter. As of the same date, Dean went by the name cityknightdesigns_ on Instagram.

Anti-Semitism

On February 18, 2020, Dean tweeted: “Kaballah Jewish magic tricks.”

Dean’s tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “Black women are the easiest for the media to manipulate.”

Kabbalah refers to the tradition of Jewish Mysticism and esoteric biblical interpretation and teachings.

On June 14, 2019, Dean tweeted: “Nothing sis and TMH [The Most High] said don’t make images for heaven or in earth. That’s a Zionist racist Fake Jew sign.” 

Dean’s tweet was in reference to the Jewish Star of David.

On April 28, 2019, Dean tweeted: “Jewish = I wish I was a Jew.”

On June 6, 2017, Dean tweeted: “Facts! Jewish people have no ties to Jerusalem, they crept in when Jerusalem became a state. Simple as hell.” 

Dean’s tweet featured a screenshot of an Orthodox Jew praying at the Western wall in Jerusalem, with a headline that read: “UN Claims Jews Have No Significant Ties To Jerusalem.” The article referred to a controversial April 2016 UNESCO resolution that seemingly erased Jewish ties to numerous Jewish holy sites in Israel. 

On June 6, 2017, Dean also tweeted: “To be Jewish is to be like, black-ish, red-ish, they are like Jews because they practice our customs but they mix in paganism/ black magic.”

On June 5, 2017, Dean tweeted a graphic with a quote ascribed to former Egyptian President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, that read: “The Jews will never be able to live in Israel in peace because when they left here they were black and came back white.” Dean commented: “Jews are black!”

On the same day, Dean tweeted: “Israelite*, Israeli is a citizen of the state of Israel and it's been proven those aren't the real Jews.”

On June 6, 2016, Dean again tweeted a screenshot of an Orthodox Jew praying at the Western wall in Jerusalem and wrote: “Damn @JamesFromJudah
those who say they are Jews and are NOT! Maury voice*.”

Anti-Jewish Conspiracy Theories

On October 1, 2017, Dean tweeted: “Negroes are the Jews of the Bible. If your family was enslaved via the trans Atlantic slave trade by the conquistadors, Britain, etc to and from America you are the Israelites of the Bible.”

On January 12, 2019, Dean tweeted a screenshot of an article suggesting that “the majority of the world’s modern Jewish population” were descendants of converts, suggesting they were not “Real Jews.” The claim is also known as the “Khazar myth.”

Dean commented on the article: “The biggest sham in the worlds history! If your in America and your ancestors came or left here on a slave ship you are the Real Jews! Your the real Israelites! Royalty.”


On July 29, 2017, Dean tweeted to a Jewish Twitter user that her: “Ancestors never been in slavery. Khazar / Edom.”

Edom refers to the Biblical Edomites, who were the descendants of the biblical figure Esau in the book of Genesis. In Jewish tradition, the Roman empire came to be identified with Edom and later extended to European and Western civilization in general. 

On July 5, 2017, Dean tweeted: “Jew is bloodline, not Judaism, Christ was from the Tribe of Judah, the fake Jews are Khazars.”

On June 6, 2017, Dean tweeted: “How are they Jews when the scripture says they would be different shades of brown? Your friends are Khazars.”

Homophobia and Misogyny

On June 19, 2020, Dean tweeted: “Nah. Feminist was created to destroy the black family, make the woman gay and support white causes. Feminism is a white people game.”
 
On the same day, Dean tweeted: “... the ideology of being a #feminist stems from lesbianism and removing the black man from the family.”

On February 17, 2020, Dean tweeted: “Little do you know most people that are homosexual / pedophile was sexually assaulted (mentally/physcially) as a kid and people KNOW and look past it. It’s bigger than just not wanting someone to be heterosexual.”

On June 16, 2019, Dean tweeted: “I really think most these niggas gay out here fr, talk negative about women all day and wanna be up under dudes. Lil fruit cup.”

On May 15, 2019, Dean tweeted: “Misguided feminism is making it exceptional for young black kids to be gay. And people really standing up for it. Can’t wait until the baptism.”

On May 9, 2017, Dean tweeted: “The media is really sick, they clap hands for a gay man coming out the closet and close eyes when a black person is killed, sodom and gomor.”

On April 29, 2019, Dean tweeted: “I can tell some of these ‘Israelites’ be effeminate and fruity fr. Yal be complaining like a girl about everything.”
