Overview

Daffany Rogers [Daffany Shanelle Rogers] has spread anti-Semitism on Facebook.

Rogers has self-identified as a “Hebrew Israelite,” in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American group whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.  

As of August 2020, Rogers’s Twitter bio said she was a “Designer / Model” and ran a website called crownedempressheadwraps.com. Her Twitter bio also said she was located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As of August 2020, Rogers ran a Facebook and Instagram page titled “Crowned Empress Designs.”The Instagram bio indicated that Rogers sold clothing products characterized by “Modest Features,” through her profile on Etsy.com. 

As of August, 2020, Rogers’s “Set Apart Academy” Instagram page bio said she also ran a “Hebrew Family Homeschooling Journey” for “PreK-7th graders.”

In July 2020, Rogers and her “SET PART ACADEMY” were listed by the state of North Carolina on the “Division of Non-Public Education - School Listing.” 

In March 2019, Rogers indicated on Instagram that she was “featured on the cover of” of Royal and Chosen magazine March 2019 edition. 

As of August 2020, Rogers was listed as an Admin of the private Facebook page, “Sistahs Spiritually Healing,” which was created in July 2020.

As of August 2020, Rogers went by the name “Bealight Shanelle” on Facebook. 

As of the same date, Rogers also went by the name “Shanelle” and used the handle ARoyalCloset on Twitter. 

Rogers also went by the name Daffany Shanelle Beth Israel. 

Anti-Semitism

On July 16, 2020, Rogers commented on an anti-Semitic Facebook post: “Put then [sic] in ovens becausecause [sic] they [Jews] wanted to be black so bad.. crazy but APTTMH [All Praise To The Most High] for truth.”

The comment was on a Facebook post by Tori Delesline, who posted a video of himself claiming [00:00:05] Hitler’s “reasoning behind killing the fake Jews was because they were fake.” 

Delesline wrote on the post: “...America will tell you that Hilter killed the ‘jew-ish’ solely because he disliked them. That is a full blown lie. America also tells you he hated Black people as well. Which is also a lie.”

Delesline’s video referred to the claim that Hitler said African Americans were the real Jews, a hoax which was exposed by the fact-checking website, Snopes.com.

A 2015 version of the hoax, published on the website FMLGoneViral.com, claimed that Hitler once said: “America has stolen the jews. The Jews of God. His jewelry. The negros. They are the true hebrews...”

On July 15, 2020, Rogers wrote on Facebook: “You know they trying to keep the truth from getting out. We are the True Jews. Our hidden/stolen history. He said what he said!... we with you NICK. APTTMH [All Praise To The Most High]!” Rogers’s post referred to Nick Cannon.

Nick Cannon was fired by ViacomCBS after he made anti-Semitic comments on his podcast, for which he later apologized. Cannon reportedly promoted various anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including the claim that Jewish people control the media. 

Cannon also reportedly suggested that Jewish people were not real Jews and that African Americans were “the true Hebrews."

Also on July 15, 2020, Rogers shared an article on Facebook about Cannon’s termination and wrote: “‘Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.’‭‭ Revelation‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭KJV.”

On the same day, Rogers also shared a post on Facebook that read: “Black people can't be anti-Semitic when in Fact They're The Real Jews 🚨🚨🚨.”

On June 4, 2020, Rogers shared to Facebook a photoof Orthodox Jewish children walking past black children on a street in Israel. 

Rogers commented: “Jewish’ vs. True Jews Identity theft.”

On December 7, 2019, Rogers shared a video on Facebook that featured a Black Hebrew Israelite on the London underground harassing a Jewish man sitting with his son, calling [00:00:05] them “The Synagogue of Satan.”

On December 4, 2018, Rogers shared a graphic on Facebook that suggested that Orthodox Jews were “JEW-ISH” and that Black people were “JEWS.”
