Overview

Antonio Lewis has spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and misogyny online.

Lewis has self-identified as one of the “real Hebrew Israelites,” in reference to the Black Hebrew Israelites, an African American group whose members claim to be the true descendants of the ancient biblical Hebrews.

As of June 2020, Lewis’s Facebook page said he worked in “Maintenance” at The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, in Jacksonville, Florida, from “February 17, 2019 to present.”

Anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theories

On January 5, 2018, Lewis tweeted: “You do realize the patriarchy suits you better. If you want to get rid of it then you have the face the Zionist Jews. Do you have a billion dollars in your bank account?”

On December 28, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “You do realize that the Zionist Jews on the slave trade…”

The claim that Jews were dominant in the Transatlantic Slave Trade was propagated in a book published in 1991 by the Nation of Islam, a branch of the Black Nationalist Movement titled: “Secret Relationship between Blacks and Jews” 

The book has been discredited in a work titled: “Jews, Slaves, and the Slave Trade: Setting the Record Straight” by Professor of History at City University, New York (CUNY), Eli Farber.

On December 28, 2017, Lewis also tweeted: “...Muslim commit terrorist attacks because Israel tells them to do so.” 

On December 27, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “You do realize Jews are the reason this world is f**k up as it is. The Zionist Jews, the Jesuits run this world.”

On December 27, 2017, Lewis also tweeted: “The racist people in the world are the Zionist Jews…”

On December 4, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “Jew world order at its finest.”

On November 15, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “Go read the Bible, we're not from Egypt, we are from Israel. Zionist Jews are the fake Hebrew Israelites. Even Hitler knew who the real Hebrew Israelites.”

Lewis’s tweet referred to the claim that Hitler said African Americans were the real Jews, a hoax which was exposed by the fact-checking website, Snopes.com.

A 2015 version of the hoax, published on the website FMLGoneViral.com, claimed that Hitler once said: “America has stolen the jews. The Jews of God. His jewelry. The negros. They are the true hebrews...”

Misogyny

On January 20, 2018, Lewis tweeted: “...the Zionist Jews, the Jesuits are the ones who created feminism. Women fail for feminism, because they're f**king! retarded and don't know any better. SMH.”

On December 31, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “How to not let feminist ruin your Society led by Zionist Jews and the Vatican.”

On December 29, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “...Feminism 101, backed by Zionist Jews media.”

On December 28, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “They introduced eugenics to destroy black people doing slavery. After slavery was pretty much over feminism was also created and it was put into the black Community First. The Zionist Jews created this out of the Catholic Church the Vatican, it's a spiritual war.”

On December 27, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “Zionist Jew gave women the right to vote. The Greeks, the Jesuits, the Vatican.”

On November 14, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “Women are children, that's why they shouldn't vote.”

On November 2, 2017, Lewis tweeted: “Jew World Order!”in response to another tweet that read: “Julianne Moore will lead you into the feminist future, literally, because she’s playing Gloria Steinem.”
