Anas Hamayel

Overview

Anas Hamayel has spread anti-Semitism, as well as racism and promoted hatred of Israel.

Hamayel also spread bigotry during his senior year of High School. In April 2018, Hamayel indicated that he was graduating high school in two weeks.

In January 2018, Hamayel indicated on Twitter that he had worked with his uncle, since he was 14 years old.

In February 2018, Hamayel indicated on Twitter that he was a student at Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC).

Spreading Anti-Semitism

On February 7, 2019, Hamayel tweeted: “Kal our land Stfu, f**kin jewish scumbags if you dont like it get the f**k out of our country

.”

On February 3, 2019, Hamayel tweeted: “Smh wenak ya [where are you] Hitler..”

Hamayel’s tweet was in response to a tweet that read: “WATCH: 8-year-old Fatima Radwan witnessed Zionist militias massacring her family in the village of Deir Yassin. 70 years later, Fatima dreams of return: ‘If you told me Palestine is liberated, I swear I’d be the first one back.’ #Nakba70...”

The term “Nakba” is generally translated as “catastrophe” in Arabic, referring to the outcome of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. It is a term often used to delegitimize the creation of the State of Israel by defining it as a catastrophe.

On September 18, 2018, Hamayel tweeted: “Wenak ya [Where are you] hitler u didn’t finish what u started.”

Hamayel’s tweet featured another tweet that said: “#EndIsraeliOccupation” and included a photo of an anti-Israel protester, holding a sign that read: “STOP DOING WHAT HITLER DID TO YOU.”

Spreading Racism

On September 4, 2018, in response to a tweet that read: “Hell nah u dont clean Air Forces u jus buy a new pair.” Hamayel tweeted: “Abeed.”

“Abeed” is a derogatory term meaning “slave” in Arabic, in reference to Black people.

On August 30, 2018, Hamayel tweeted: “F**kin abeed.”

Promoting Hatred of Israel

On February 3, 2019, Hamayel tweeted: “F**k Trump, F**k Israel #FreePalestine

.”

Hamayel’s tweet featured a video of United States President Donald Trump, saying that the U.S. recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The video went on to show scenes of Palestinian violence against Israel.

High School Bigotry

On April 29, 2018, Hamayel tweeted: “F**k Israel one they Allah gunna destroy all of them.”

On March 20, 2018, Hamayel tweeted: “I wanna diss what they call Israel in my tweets so bad, but I’m scared when I go to Palestine this summer the mfs not gunna let me in.”

On February 4, 2018, Hamayel tweeted: “Jews = pigs

.”

Hamayel’s tweet was in response to another tweet that said: “Oh, you mean where Israel was stolen from the Jews and then the Jews got their land back? Yeah.”

Hamayel added: “True I just meant the khara [s**t] kind of Jews.”
