Aly Ahmed

Overview

Aly Ahmed has posted multiple anti-Semitic posts on social media.

In 2014, Ahmed was affiliated with the Muslim Students Association (MSA) and also with the Muslim American Society (MAS) Youth Center, based in New York.

In 2015, Ahmed was involved with Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an offshoot of the MSA.

In 2015, Ahmed’s tweets indicated that he was a student at Brooklyn College (Brooklyn), part of City University of New York (CUNY).

Spreading Anti Semitism

On June 9, 2015, Ahmed tweeted: “@oshmeezy hell. Zionist a** organization.”

On June 3, 2015, Ahmed tweeted: “I hate the cavaliers organization. Bunch of zionists! Inshallah they lose the NBA finals.”

On November 7, 2014, Ahmed tweeted: “@youssef11147 if I go I'll take my 70$ and slap him wit itt... It's not even that tho. I could never serve Jews again lol”

On July 13, 2014, Ahmed tweeted: “@anonymez_ yeah I know. Nba probably made delete it or w.e. They owned by zionists anyway #FNBA.”

MSA

The MSA was  established by members of the Muslim Brotherhood in January 1963 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, with the goal of "spreading Islam as students in North America." A 2004 FBI investigation uncovered an internal Muslim Brotherhood document in which a brotherhood leader identified the MSA as "one of our organizations." 

The MSA reportedly has “nearly 600 chapters” located in the United States and Canada, and is “the most visible and influential Islamic student organization in North America,” boasting conferences, special events, publications, websites and other activities.

The organization includes a number of previous chapter presidents with explicit links to terrorist groups. Included are al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki (Colorado State University), Somali al-Shabaab militant leader Omar Shafik Hammami (University of South Alabama) and Pakistani Taliban recruiter Ramy Zamzam of the MSA's Washington, D.C. council.
